Linux 환경에서 SATA HDD의 전송 속도 향상 알고리즘

In this paper, we present an application method of SATA HDD based on Linux. Using Linux module programming and modifying the device driver layer in Linux kernel, we directly control the AHCI device driver in Linux kernel. we control several SATA HDDs in parallel and transfer a large amount of data in a separate unit. Consequently, we achieve a large amount of throughput with the several SATA HDDs, and the throughput increases in proportion to the number of SATA HDDs. Eventually, we overcome the bottleneck effect of data transfer due to physical limits of magnetic disks and SATA interfaces without attaching the extra hardware device except the several SATA HDD.
