Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the related factors and educational needs of female military officers regarding pregnancy and childbirth health care. Methods: The subjects of this study are 127 female military officers serving in the Army, Navy, and Air Force who have gone through pregnancy and childbirth within three years. The descriptive survey was conducted to them using structured questionnaires from March to June in 2018. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe’ test with SPSS program. Results: The educational needs about pregnancy and childbirth health care was 3.54±0.46 points out of 5 and in the subscales child care and parental roles were highest, followed by childbirth management, postpartum care, and prenatal care in order. The educational needs about pregnancy and childbirth health care showed statistically significant differences in the number of natural births, planned pregnancy experiences, and contraception experiences. Conclusion: The results suggested that further researches should be conducted for the development and application of pregnancy, childbirth education programs that consider educational needs and related factors of female military officers in South Korea.
