In this paper, dyeing properties and colorfastness of ramie, flax, and cotton fabrics for direct dyes were compared. When dyed in a same liquor-goods ratio, in case of green dyes, colorfastness to light was similar for three fibers but in case of red dyes, cotton had a lower level. For colorfastness to laundering, three fibers were similar and there were no consistent differences The degree of stain about white cotton fabric was higher in case of red dyes and it showed the difference of dye`s properties. The degree of stain about white wool fabric showed the highs resistance of stain and little stain was seen. This result represented that the dyes. used were proper direct dyes for cellulosic fibers. For the difference of shade, the cotton was consistently brighter and the shade of ramie was darker than that of cotton and flax. This might mean that optical effects arose from the comparatively large cross-sectional size of the ramie fiber and its highly oriented structure.

In general, it is fact that most educational institutions have lots of problems about shift of education facility and equipment because of insufficient budget. However, most high school girls live a lot of period in the school and most of them wear student uniform. Thus, it is necessary that educational environment has to be improved by actual body size of high school girls. The main objective of this study is to provide numerical guideline for the improvement of educational environment about high school girls ($17\sim19$ years) through comparison and analysis on physical standard of nation (report published in 1997). The sample for this work chosen from data which were collected and measured by Size Korea during two years $(2003\sim2004)$. In order to analyze feature of the somatotype of high school girls, analysis was performed about 734 subjects on 25 body parts such as height (7 parts), width (4 parts), thickness (4 parts), circumference (5 parts), length (4 parts) and body weight. For the specific comparison on somatotype, $R\ddot{o}hrer$ index and Mollison's comparison graph were used. The result of this study can be utilized in various fields such as design of classroom, student uniforms, facilities and equipments for education, etc.
남자 고등학생(17세$\sim$19세)의 체형 특성 및 분류에 관한 연구

The main objective of this study is to suggest the new sizing system proper to the boys in the high school students by classifying their somatotype for the development of educational environment and uniform. The sample for this work was chosen from data which were collected and measured by Size Korea during two years $(2003\sim2004)$. In order to analyze feature of the somatotype of boys in the high school students, analysis was performed about 479 subjects on 37 body parts such as height (9 parts), width (5 parts), thickness (6 parts), circumference (7 parts), length (8 parts), body weight and $R\ddot{o}hrer$ Index. The result of this study can be utilized in various fields such as design of classroom, student uniforms, facilities and equipments for education at high school and university, etc.

The purpose of this study is to help to prevent daily noises by measuring the noise absorption coefficient of the non-woven fabrics and wallpapers which are commonly used in lining and noise absorption coefficient of lining curtain, Seven types of fiber materials for the interior decoration, one non-woven fabric for the wallpaper linings, and two types of textiles for curtain linings are used as the experimental materials in this study. The noise absorption coefficient of the noise absorbents were measured by using impedance tube, And the thermal transmittance were measured by using thermal transmittance Lester. The results of this study are as follows; Observing the noise absorption efficiency of each experimental materials, the combination of fiber materials and linings, the noise absorption efficiency of cotton, polyester and silk were similar and for the experimental materials of flax, rayon, acrylic and nylon were resulted the similar noise absorption efficiency. The result of combination of fiber material and black fabric was highest among the combined linings. For the combination of fiber material and non-woven fabric, double layers of non-woven fabric resulted slightly higher noise absorption coefficient result than single layer of non-woven fabric. The thermal transmittance and the sound absorbents of experimental materials were affected by the thickness, density and layer of air of the experimental materials.
