        새로운 도약 : 운동 중단 후, 학교생활에 적응하는 학생 상담 사례연구

        The purpose of this study is to show how the process of psychology counseling helped a student to adapt better to school campus life after quitting his life as a student athlete, and how the sports psychology coun-selor assisted him in solving the problems he encountered at school. This research reveals how valuable the role of that sports psychology counselor was in helping the student to adapt to his school environment after relinquishing his former and current status as a student athlete. The client featured in the study was a junior who quit bowling, having attained a high level of skill in that discipline. He started his new career with less mo-tivation to continue with the sport. However, he found it difficult to adapt to the school atmosphere, and had problems integrating successfully with the other members of his school course, having spent so much of his time exercising since he was a child. The client needed counseling for his problems, which included lack of self-confidence, issues with relationships, and inactivity in class. He was exposed to a total of seven counsel-ing sessions, and was assessed by means of a psychology questionnaire and a client`s diary, both designed to reveal his mental state. Moreover, his behavior fluctuations in class were measured on three occasions using a micro camera. After finishing the counseling sessions, he was debriefed on the full process. The study yielded the following results: First, the client`s questionnaire results, interviews, and diary showed that the sports psy-chology counseling had a positive effect on his adaptation to school life and on his emotions after giving up his former athletic career; second, psychology training in positive self-talking and self-approbation improved the client`s self-confidence; third, his interpersonal problems were solved by requesting him to pay people compliments five times every day; lastly, his attitude in class was monitored by behavior observation, which showed that he went from being inactive and disinterested to taking an active part in class.

        Rogers의 인간중심적 상담기법을 적용한 청소년 테니스 선수 상담사례연구

        스포츠 상담이란 선수의 문제해결을 목적으로 상담서비스를 제공하는 행위를 말한다. 경쟁적인 스포츠에 참가하는 선수들은 성장과 발달의 과정에서 여러 가지 많은 문제들에 직면하게 될 때 상담자로서의 스포츠 심리학자를 절실히 필요로 한다. 상담에서 상담자와 내담자간의 역동적인 관계가 중요시되듯이 스포츠상담 역시 상담자와 내담자 간의 '개별적인 관계'가 가장 우선시 된다. Rogers의 인간중심적 상담은 상담자와 내담자 사이에서 일어나는 일치성, 공감, 무조건적 긍정적 보상을 통해 내담자의 성장을 촉진시킨다. 본 연구에서는 선수인 내담자와 스포츠심리학자인 상담자 간의 관계성을 이용한 Rogers의 인간중심적 상담 이론을 청소년 테니스 선수에게 적용하여 겪고 있는 심리적 어려움과 고민을 해결하고자 하였다. 피험자는 경력 5년째인 여고 1년생 1명이었다. 상담은 일주일에 1회씩 매 60-120분간 총 9회 동안 실시되었다. 상담내용은 모두 녹음, 녹취되었다. 9회의 상담내용 분석 결과, Rogers식 상담이 스포츠심리 영역에서 선수의 인지적, 행동적, 정서적 문제해결에 도움을 줄 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. Sport counseling is the act of giving counseling services to an athlete to form a solution to a problem. Athletes who join competitive sports confront various problems during the process of growth and development. Many of these problems may require a sport psychologist as a counselor to be properly dealt with. The dynamic personal relationship between counselor and client that is important in counseling is also important in sport counseling. Rogers' client-centered counseling encourages the growth of the client through congruence, empathy, and unconditional positive regard happening between counselor and client. In this research, Rogers' client-centered counseling was applied to young tennis athlete in order to solve their psychological difficulty and agony. Counseling was conducted on a weekly basis for nine, 60-120 minutes sessions. All counseling contents were recorded. The result of this study was as follows : It appeared Rogers' counseling therapy helped athletes to their cognitive, behavior and emotional problem solution at the sport psychology area.
