During the last 10 years 8 months, clinical observation has been done on 43 cases of cryptorchisms. 1. The cryptorchism has relatively high incidence rate among the anomalies of genitourinary tract(27.2%). 2. The age group, most frequently seen, was between 6 to 10 and the average age visited the hospital at the first time is 11.4 years. It means 4 to 6 years later than age for the adequate treatment required. 3. Atrophy of the seminiferous tubules, interstitial fibrosis and poor or absent spermatogenesis were noted on the 8 cases of cryptorchid biopsies. 4. Hormonal therapy(Puberogen) was done on 16 cases and 8 cases were responded. But there was no complete descent of testis through this hormonal therapy.
두부 손상이 없는 골절 환자에서 혈중 S100B 단백질의 분석

Purpose: There is an increasing amount of evidence that S100B could function as a marker of brain damage. However, the cerebral specificity of S100B has been questioned, so the extracerebral sources of S100B have been paid attention. We performed this investigation to show serum S100B levels after extracranial fracture in patients without current head injury and without prior neurological disease. Methods: At the emergency department, we obtained the blood samples within 6 hours from trauma patients hospitalized with extracranial fractures. S100B levels were compared between one fracture and more than two fractures, and analyzed according to the presence of soft tissue damage. Results: Patients with one fracture and those with more than two fractures did not differ by age (mean, 54.70 vs. 47.03, p=0.130), and there was no significant difference in the male-to-female ratio(33:32 vs. 21:12, p=0.226). In patients with one fracture, the mean value of S-100B was 0.56 μg/L (95% CI: 0.35-0.77) whereas in those with more than two fractures, the corresponding value was 1.09 μg/L (95% CI: 0.46-1.7, p=0.048). The S100B level of patients with soft tissue damage(1.32±0.38) was higher than that of patients without soft tissue damage(0.81±0.21), whether one fracture or more than two fractures(p=0.049). Conclusion: We present here that S100B levels were raised in 77% of patients with extracranial fractures without cerebral injury who were hospitalized from the emergency room and that the presence of soft tissue damage contributed to the increased S100B rather than the size of the fractured bone size or the number of fracturest. Thus, this study suggests that soft tissue injury may be considered as an important extracerebral source of S100B. (J Korean Soc Traumatol 2009;22:123-7)
작전운용성능 수정 원인 분석과 진화적 획득 평가항목지표 개발 연구

무기체계 작전운용성능(ROC)은 신규 무기체계의 성능과 획득의 성공 여부를 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 과도한 ROC 설정은 사업을 지연시키거나 실패를 초래하는 반면, 과소한 ROC 설정은 기술의 진부화를 초래할 수 있다. 따라서 성공적인 신규 무기체계 획득을 위해서는 설정된 ROC를 기준으로 단일 또는 진화적 획득전략을 결정해야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 최근 10년간(2011~2020년) 160건의 ROC 수정사례를 확인하여 ROC 수정원인을 분석한다. 둘째, 분석결과를 바탕으로 신규 무기체계 사업의 진화적 획득/ROC를 적용하기 위한 ‘평가항목지표’를 개발하고, 계층적 의사결정 기법(AHP)을 이용하여 평가항목지표 간 가중치(중요도)와 우선순위를 결정한다. 본 연구에서 ROC 수정원인 분석결과 주요 수정원인은 6개로 분류하였고 기술 수준 예측 어려움(41%)이 가장 큰 수정원인이었다. 수정원인을 바탕으로 개발한 평가항목지표는 기술성숙도(0.428) 및 전력화시기(0.128) 등 8개이고 위 평가항목지표들이 가중치가 높았다. 본 논문에서 제시한 ‘진화적 획득/ROC 평가항목지표’가 향후 진화적 획득전략 적용 여부 검토 간 합리적이고 과학적인 의사결정에 도움이 되고 성공적인 무기체계 획득사업에 이바지하기를 기대한다. Weapon systems required operational capability (ROC) is an important factor that determines the success of a new weapon system for performance and acquisition. Excessive ROC can delay a project or cause failure, while if it is too low, it can lead to technology obsolescence. Therefore, in order to successfully acquire new weapon systems, a single or evolutionary acquisition strategy must be determined based on the ROC. The purpose of this study was to analyze the causes of ROC correction by identifying 160 cases in the last 10 years (2011-2020). Then, evaluation item index to apply to the evolutionary acquisition/ROC of a new weapon system project was developed, and the weight (importance) and priorities were determined through an analytic hierarchical process (AHP). The main correction causes were classified using 6 categories, and the most frequent one was the difficulty of predicting the technology level (41%). There are 8 evaluation item indexes based on the correction causes, such as technical readiness level (0.428) and military force delivery time (0.128), which have high weights. The evolutionary acquisition/ROC evaluation item index presented in this paper is expected to help with rational and scientific decision-making during the review process to apply evolutionary acquisition strategies and contribute to successful weapons-system acquisition projects.

Geotextile tubes are water-permeable tubular structures made of woven polymeric polyester (PET) or polypropylene (PP) synthetic fibers hydraulically filled with dredged sand currently used as alternatives for embankment construction. In this paper, a large direct-shear test was performed on a soil sample with wooden block wrapped by geotextile to figure out shear property of soil-geotextile tube interface.
무기체계 획득 의사결정의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 M&S와 AHP를 조합한 효과 분석 방법론: 전차 능동방호체계 사례를 중심으로

과학기술이 발달하고 무기체계가 첨단화될수록 무기체계 획득단계에서의 분석평가, 특히 효과 분석 결과는 신규무기체계 도입 시 최적의 무기체계를 결정하기 위해서 매우 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구의 목적은 무기체계의 복잡하고 다양한 효과 항목에 대해 모델링&시뮬레이션(M&S: Modeling and Simulation, 이하 M&S)과 계층적 의사결정기법(AHP : Analytic Hierarchy Process, 이하 AHP)을 조합하여 신뢰성이 향상된 무기체계 효과 분석 결과를 산출하는 방법론을 제안하고 있다. 이를 위해 M&S와 AHP를 조합한 분석방법론을 전차의 ‘능동방호체계(APS : Active Protection System, 이하 APS)’ 효과 분석 사례에 적용해 방법론의 타당성을 입증하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 방법론을 통해 무기체계 효과 분석 결과의 신뢰성을 향상함으로써 향후 신규 무기체계 획득사업간 합리적이고 과학적인 의사결정에 도움이 되기를 기대한다. As new weapon systems become more advanced and complex, the results of analysis and evaluations to acquire them are becoming more important. In particular, effectiveness analysis results from a weapon system are key in the analysis and evaluation process. The reliability problem of the effectiveness analysis results is an important issue as it is necessary to determine the optimal weapon system to achieve maximum effectiveness with a limited defense budget. The purpose of this study is to propose a methodology to calculate the results of a weapon systems effectiveness analysis with improved reliability by combining modeling and simulation (M&S) and an analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for complex and diverse effectiveness items of a weapon system. This study demonstrates the validity of the methodology by applying it to the effectiveness analysis of a tanks active protection system (APS). This study is expected to support rational and scientific decision-making in the acquisition of new weapon systems.
