In order to evaluate the wear resistance of Zirconium alloy and Inconel alloy, abrasive wear test performed by using Pin-on-disk apparatus. To relative analyze of wear resistance for Zirconium alloy and Inconel alloy, pin specimen that composed with SM45C was used. Quantity of wear compared with specific wear rate and friction coefficienct for each materials, and worn surface observed by SEM. Based on the test result, the wear resistance of each materials under various sliding speed and sliding distance were discussed in detail.

Operating excitation forces of the linear vibratory system are normally determined by direct measurement techniques using load cells, strain gauges, etc. But, hydraulic forces of the rotating turbomachinery such as centrifugal pumps are exerted on an impeller due to asymmety of the flow by the interaction between pump impeller and volute. So, investigations of wide range of hydraulic designs and geometric deviations are difficult by direct method. This paper presents a hybrid approach for fourier transformed operational excitation forces, which uses pseudo-inverse matrix of the transfer matrix for the system and the measured vibrational data with standard installed pump. The determination of the transfer function matrix is based on a linear rotor/stationary system and steady state harmonic response in finite element analysis. And, vibrational data is collected in both vertical and horizontal directions at inboard and outboard bearing housings. The results of the process may be enhanced by making acceleration measurements at many more locations than there are forces to be determined.

The flow induced noise of the cross-flow fan with uniform/random pitch blades is predicted by computational methods. With the time dependent surface pressure data obtained by solving the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in moving coordinates, the acoustic pressure is predicted by the Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings equation. The positions of the blade noise source are identified through an investigation of the acoustic pressure history induced by one blade, and it is confirmed that the dominant noise source is near the stabilizer. Since the acoustic pressure of the random pitch fan fluctuates according to the blade passin, the dominant BPF noise of the uniform pitch fan is modulated into some reduced discrete noises which have multiples of a 50Hz difference from BPF.

The riding in a car feeling and stability are essential element from the vehicle. The trailing will be one element of rear suspension system and it will receive a compression mainly and the buckling will be able to occur. In This study, it evaluates the effect which receives buckling strength it follows in flange shape form and hole shape change of the parts. Therefore, the applied flange shape and hole shape of the model was obtained by using FEM method and it approached the optimization of the trailing arm's shape. It compares an actual test result and an analysis result to be approximate prove.

Air gap control method using a conventional actuator for near field recording technology has been reported. Toachieve good performance in the air gap servo and further experiments, the assembling between OL and SIL is the critical procedure. A lens set with NA 1.45 at 405 nm has been assembled and tested by using a Twyman-Green interferometer. The tolerance of assembling is very tight and the designing and adjusting adjusting procedure must be carefully controlled.
