피학대경험이 청소년의 음주에 미치는 영향: 정신건강과 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 부모로부터의 피학대 경험이 청소년의 음주 행동에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 동시에 두 변수의 관계에서 정신건강(우울 및 스트레스)과 자아존중감의 매개효과를 분석하는데 있다. 한국청소년패널조사 데이터를 2차 분석하였는데, 만 14세인 3,182명의 청소년을 대상으로 구조방정식을 사용하였다. 본 연구결과에 따르면, 학대 정도가 심각할수록 청소년 자녀의 음주 행동이 더욱 빈번해졌다. 또한 정신건강을 매개변수로 할 때 간접 효과가 존재하였는데, 부모로부터의 학대 경험이 심각할수록 정신건강이 부정적으로 나타났으며 이는 빈번한 음주 행동의 원인이 되는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 청소년들의 음주 행동에 대한 개입 시, 부모 학대에 대한 사정 및 개입이 이루어져야 하며 이와 더불어 학대로 인해 발생하는 우울 및 불안과 스트레스와 같은 정신건강에 대한 사정 및 치료가 이루어져야 한다. 또한 청소년들의 음주 문제를 예방하기 위해서는 부모 학대 및 정신건강에 대한 예방 및 치료가 제공되어야 할 것이다. The aims of this study are to examine the effects of parental abuse on alcohol use among adolescents and to investigate mediating effects of mental health(depressive symptoms and stress) and self-esteem on the relationship between prenatal abuse and alcohol behaviors. We conducted a secondary data analysis of Korea Youth Panel Survey of National Youth Policy Institute collected from 3,182 adolescents aged 14 years. Using structural equational modeling, the results found that high levels of parental abuse showed significantly higher levels of alcohol use, indicating significant mediating effects of mental health. Therefore, assessment and intervention for parental abuse should be provided to adolescents when their alcohol problems are dealt with. At the same time, mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and stress caused by parental abuse need to be assessed and treated. In addition, prevention and treatment for parental abuse and mental health problems should be provided to prevent alcohol problems among adolescents.
