Objectives The present study was designed to find out the therapeutic effects and possible underlying mechanism of Buja-tang, a herbal complex formula on experimental monosodium iodoacetate (MIA)-induced osteoarthritis. Methods Osteoarthritis models were created via intra-joint injection of MIA (50 μL with 80 mg/mL) in rats. Rats were divided into five groups and each group consisted of seven. Normal group was not injected MIA and did a normal diet. Control group injected MIA and received distilled water. Indo injected MIA and oral administration of 5 mg/kg of indomethacin. BJTL injected MIA and oral administration of 100 mg/kg of Buja-tang. BJTH injected MIA and oral administration of 200 mg/kg of Buja-tang. We analyzed weight-bearing ability of hind paws, oxidative stress related factor, antioxidant protein, inflammatory protein, inflammatory messenger and cytokine in joint tissue. Pathological observation of knee cartilage tissue structures was also performed with hematoxylin & eosin and safranin-O chromosomes. Results Weight-bearing ability of hind paws showed a tendency to reduce pain. The incidence of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase and p22phox in articular tissue was significantly reduced, and the incidence of nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 and heme oxygenase-1 and superoxide dismutases was significantly increased. The incidence of phosphorylated inhibitor of κBα, nuclear factor- kappa B p65, inducible nitric oxide synthase, cyclooxygenase-2, tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-1β decreased significantly. In pathological observation, cartilage tissue damaged by MIAs in biopsy has significantly recovered from Buja-tang administration. Conclusions Buja-tang has anti-inflammation, antioxidation and pain relief effects. So this is thought to inhibit the progress of osteoarthritis in rat caused by the MIA. Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean Medicine treatment and to call for in-depth study of iliotibial band syndrome. Methods : Three patients, diagnosed as iliotibial band syndrome, were treated by Korean Medicine interventions; acupuncture, electroacupuncture at Gluteus maximus, lateral femoral epicondyle, Gerdy tubercle, cupping at local region and physical therapy of Korean medicine. Visual analog scale(VAS) was used as a measure of the effect of treatment on iliotibial band syndrome. Results : As result, knee pain decreased and VAS score decreased in two cases. In one case, however, the symptoms did not change and the VAS score was the same. Conclusions : For iliotibial band syndrome, Korean rehabilitation therapy can be used effectively. More research is needed to establish the rehabilitation protocol for the intervention of iliotibial band syndrome.
실시간 손 모양 인식을 위한 외곽선검출기반 SO불변모멘트에 대한 연구

이 논문은 실시간 처리 가능한 손 모양 인식 알고리즘을 제안한다. 손 영역의 검출을 위해서 RGB영역을 조명변화에 안정적인 영역으로 변환한다. 그 후 가우시안 전처리 과정으로 잡음을 제거하고 검출한 손 영역은 Canny-edg를 이용해 외곽선 획득과정을 거친다 외곽선 영상을 이용해 Hu불변모멘트 특징값들을 산출하고 그중 손가락의 변화에 민감한 불변모멘트의 값을 강조한다. Orientation 불변모멘트로 왼쪽 오른쪽 손의 방향 정보를 획득한다 획득한 불변 모멘트 특성값들은 인공신경망을 통해 분류되어 손의 모양이 어떤 상태인지 판단하게 된다. 그 결과 개 모양에 대한 평균 인식률은 96.26%였으며 Frame 당 처리시간은의0.037sec의 성능을 보였다. This paper propose the hand shape recognition algorithm which can be calculated in real-time. To detect the hand region, transform the RGB region into the HSV region that has the stable feature at light changing. And then, erase the noise by preprocessing and obtain the edge image using Canny-edge. Feature values are calculated by Hu-moment invariants. The values are emphasized by Skewness MI which is sensitive at the hand shape changing. Orientation MI is used for distinguish between left and right. MI features are classified by BP artificial neural networks. The result of the recognition rate shows 96.26% and the processing time shows 0.037sec.
칼만 필터를 이용한 손의 위치정보 추정과 거리변화에 따른 인터페이스 개선

본 논문에서는 손 마우스에서 안정적인 위치정보를 획득하고 카메라와 손의 거리에 따른 인터페이스 방법론을 제안한다. 손 영역의 검출은 조명에 강한 HSV를 사용했다. 검출한 영역에 내부 라벨링을 시행해서 손바닥의 손금이나 손가락을 접을 때 생기는 그림자를 제거했다. 그 후 손바닥 영역 검출의 정확성을 위해 픽셀기반 중심점 대신 거리변환 벡터를 이용해 손의 중심점을 지정했다. 외부 조명과 손의 흔들림으로부터 민감한 중심점을 안정화하기 위해 칼만 필터를 이용했다. In this paper, obtaining information from a stable position and a hand mouse interface methodology is proposed according to the distance of the camera and the hand. This study use HSV region which is not sensitive to the changes of illumination. The detected area is inner labeled for removing the shadow that occurs when you fold the finger and the lines of the palm. Thereafter, specify the center point of the hand by using a distance transformation vectors instead of the center point of the pixel-based for accuracy of the palm region detection. To stabilize sensitive center point the Kalman filter is used.
거리변환 벡터 기반 손가락 구분 인식을 이용한 핸드마우스 인터페이스 제안

This papers purpose is a providing reliable method to acquire the position information of the hand mouse and implementing interface. To detect hand region, image is converted to HSV region which is stable in lighting changes. And then, the detected area is Two-Pass labeled and inner labeled again for removing the external noise. And to increase the accuract of the detection of the hand region the center point of the hand is used distance transformation vectors which is better performance than center of gravity point. Next, to stabilize the vibrating center point, Kalman filter is used and to distinguish a thumb and other fingers, two ellipses expanded from center point is used in this interface. As a result, the implementation of four events, showed a high recognition rate of 97.3% on average.
소경활혈탕가미방(疎經活血湯加味方)의 관절염에 미치는 효과

Objectives The aim of this study is to evaluate anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic effects of Sogyunghwalhyel-tang-gamibang (SGHHTGB) in cell and animal models and also to suggest one of putative mechanisms underlying its anti-arthritic effects. Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was applied to measure the concentrations of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in culture medium and blood serum and nitric oxide (NO) was assayed by Griess reagent. The expressions of inducible NO synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase- 2 (COX-2) were analyzed by Western blot method. Results In a cell model using RAW264.7 macrophages stimulated with the endotoxin lipopolysaccharide (LPS), the drug, at its non-cytotoxic concentrations, inhibited the production of the pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6. In addition, it suppressed the expression of the inflammatory enzyme iNOS and COX-2, and reduced the synthesis of the enzyme product NO (as stable nitrite) and PGE2 in activated macrophages. Meanwhile, in an animal model using rheumatic arthritis (RA) mice induced with injection of type II collagen antibody (CAb) and LPS, the drug improved clinical symptom of arthritis and reduced paw thickness and inflammatory cell infiltration. In blood of RA mice, the drug reduced serum levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, nitrite, and PGE2, all inflammatory mediators produced by activated macrophages. Conclusions SGHHTGB may ameliorate CAb and LPS-induced RA in mice, presumably by inactivating macrophages that are capable of initiating joint inflammation by producing pro-inflammatory cytokines and expressing inflammatory enzymes. Coil spring steels from the automobile suspension part after field exposure for 10 years and those after anti-corrosion validation test in proving ground of 5,000 ~ 10,000 km were examined for corrosion damages. Partial loss of paint, accumulation of corrosion product, and cracking of paint and superficial material were observed. The surface and subsurface region of spring steels had compressive residual stress and high hardness by shot peening. The surface hardness values of the specimens were 620 ~ 670 Hv. They were 60 ~ 80 Hv higher than those of the samples taken from the middle part of the spring. The maximum compressive stress was -916 ~ -1208 MPa measured at depth of about 100 μm. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy showed that the resistances of charge transfer and the paint layer of the spring steels ranged from several tens to millions Ωㆍcm<sup>2</sup>. The resistance of the field samples was much higher than that of the proving ground samples used in this study, implying that the proving ground test condition would be more corrosive than the field environment.
계층적 불변 모멘트를 이용한 외곽선 영상기반 ASL 숫자 인식 시스템 개발

This paper propose the hand shape recognition using the Hierarchical Moment Invariants. First, to reduce the error rate, HSV region color space is used. Detected binary image is opening calculated which containing erosion and dilation to erase the noise. Next, obtain the edge line using Canny edge and then implement the Hierarchical Moment Invariants. Hierarchical layers consist of Orientation layer, Objet external layer and Moment Invariants layer. In the Orientation layer, ellipse tilt detecting algorithm is used to find the orientation of the hand. In the Object external layer, Circularity and Eccentricity is used to find the feature value. Last layer can obtain the 3 feature of the Moment invariants and then all of the features are recognized by BP artificial neural network. In recognizing the 9 ASL, recognition rate shows 97.15% and FPS shows 0.046.
