A L DT is an electromechanical transducer that produces an electrical output proportional to The displacement of separate movable core. A convential LDT in construction has a disadvantage which the measurement range to the length ratio is small. This paper proposed a new type LDT, which improved methodes of construction. The proposed LDT and a conventional LVDT with the same dimension are simulated by FE. In the process of the simulation and construction, the performance of two type LVDTs are evaluated. Linearity error of a conventional LVDT was ±3 % in measuring range of ±5 mm and linearity error of the proposed LVDT was ±0.5 % in the same range. It was evident from the theoritical relationships and the experimental results that the proposed LVDT has been better performance than a convential type.

The aim of this study was investigated to know the effect of austenitizing and aging treatment on the mechanical properties and microstructure changes. With increasing aging time hardness values not showed a great change because microstructure of ferrite was not alternated to other microstructure, but hardness values of martensite microstructure lower because of precipitation of carbide. Specimens quenched after forging work have higher tensile strength and hardness values but impact and elongation values have lower. Also, Specimen air-cooled showed reverse results in comparision with quenched specimen. With increasing austenite temperature tensile strength and hardness increased, but elongation and impact value decreased and with increasing austenite time tensile strength and hardness increased, but elongation and impact value decreased. With increasing tempering treatment temperature tensile strength and hardness decreased, but elongation and impact value decreased. Also, with increasing tempering treatment time tensile strength and hardness decreased, but elongation and impact value increased.
