        매우 광범위한 허혈성 증식당뇨망막병증에서 급속히 증식하는 망막전막의 미세구조

        Purpose: Using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), we studied the ultrastructures of rapidly proliferating preretinal membranes of young patients with very extensive ischemic proliferative diabetic retinopathy and diabetes with uncontrollable blood sugar level. Methods: Nine cases of preretinal membranes were obtained from six eyes of five patients with rapidly progressed proliferative diabetic retinopathy (mean age, 35 years) during vitrectomy. We obtained each preretinal membrane bimanually as one single sheet membrane using intraocular scissors and forceps. Each tissue was fixed in 3% glutaraldehyde in the operating room. All specimens were prepared and studied using TEM. Results: The preretinal membranes were composed of blood vessels and some interstitial cells. The blood vessels within the preretinal membranes varied in developmental stages, from the immature stage to the mature stage. The blood vessels were highly active, in that primitive cells showed a large nucleus and prominent chromatin clumping with abundant cytoplasm. Highly active fibroblast-like cells were also noted. Conclusions: We observed highly active angiogenesis in preretinal membranes, which rapidly proliferated in cases of severe retinal ischemia in young diabetes patients. This is the first report of such a finding, which may help to explain the poor prognosis of this disease modality. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2010;51(11):1504-1512

        출산교실에 참여한 임부의 교육 평가 및 교육

        This study was conducted to identify the educational need of pregnant women, and to evaluate the effect of the 2-hour childbirth class provided by researchers. The subjects were composed of 183 pregnant women who participated voluntarily in the 2-hour childbirth class, and the data were collected by self reporting structured questionnaire designed by researchers. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, paired t test, and McNemar test by SPSS pc program. The results were as follows ; 1. Mean age of th subjects was 27 and most subjects graduated from the high school and the college. 80.3% of the subjects had nuclear family. 82.5% of the subjects were full time housewives. 2. 85.8% of the subjects were ipara. Though 71.6% of the subjects might have antepartal care in the clinic, 67.2% of the subjects had no chance to participate in the childbirth class before this study. 3. Subject's health and lifestyle, especially related to eating habits, were changed in the antepartum period. We found that the pregnancy affected positively on health and lifestyle of the women. Over 75% of the subjects became to understand the progress of labor, breath methods during the labor, and perineal exercise. Most subjects changed to think that they could control their body more actively and positively during the labor after participating in the childbirth class. 93.4% answered that 'childbirth class was necessary and important'. Most subjects wanted to be taught the contents, such as postpartum care, breast feeding, and infant care in the childbirth class. In conclusion, pregnant women to attend the childbirth educational program with their husband, and the 2-hour childbirth class provided by the researchers very effective in many aspects. Therefore we anticipated that the childbirth class on basis of pregnant women's needs will contribute to improvement of pregnant women's health and well-being during the labor.

        파피러스 코덱스에 관한 고찰

        일반적으로 파피러스(papyrus)는 4세기에 벨럼(vellum)의 사용으로 그 사용이 대체될 때까지 서양에 있어서 책(冊)의 유일한 재료로서 생각되고 있으며, 또한 파피러스는 두루말이(roll)형태의, 양피지(parchment)는 코덱스(codex) 형태의 도서를 의미하였다고 가정되고 있다. 이 보문(報文)은 문헌조사에 의한 개관으로서, 파피러tm와 코덱스에 대해 각각 서술하였고, 위의 가정을 논했으며, 파피러스 코덱스의 외형에 관하여 기술하였다. 코덱스라는 새로운 형태의 책이 양피지에서부터 시작된 것은 사실이나 두루말이에서부터 코덱스로의 변화가 반드시 도서재료의 변화를 뜻하지는 않는다. 그 최초의 사용시기는 알 수 없으나, 파피러스재료가 코덱스 형태에 차용되었음은 확실하다. 파피러스 코덱스에 대한 참조로서, 84-86년에 쓰여진 마샬(Martial)의 시에서 처음 언급하였으며 카시오도로스 (Cassiodorus)의 저서에 나타난 문귀는 6세기에도 사용되었음을 나타낸다. 확실한 것은 2세기초부터 4세기에 벨럼이 도서의 주재료가 될 때까지 기독교문학 특히 성경에 사용되었음이다. 1897년, 그레코${\cdot}$로망시대의 에집트마을인 옥시링쿠스(Oxyrhnchus)답사에서 그렌휄(Grenfell)과 헌트(Hunt)는 파피러스 책을 처음 발굴하였다. 즉, 200년경에 쓰여진 로기아(Logia;예수교훈집)로서 페이지수가 매겨진 근대도서형태의 단편이었다. 체스터 베이티(Chester Beatty)소장 파피러스는 그 전부가 재료는 파피러스이며, 형태는 코덱스이고, 내용은 기독교문학이다. 이는 파피러스 코덱스가 2세기초부터 기독교도에 치매 사용되어 왔음을 확실하게 말해 준다. 진정한 의미의 도서제본은 파피러스로 만든 코덱스에서 시작되었다. 이는 근대도서와 같이 장(sheet )이나 첩(quire)을 묶어서 제본하였다. 이때의 접는 방법, 배열, 크기 및 종행단(縱行段)에 대해서 기술하였다.

        모바일 증강현실 Digilog Book을 활용한 교육용 곤충로봇 콘텐츠

        가상현실이란 사용자 몰입형 체감형 인터페이스로서 공간적, 물리적 제약에 의해 현실세계에서는 직접 경험하지 못하는 상황을 간접 체험할 수 있도록 하는 기술이다. 종이에 저작된 책들이 디지털시대에 맞게 이동성을 갖춘 모바일 기기를 활용하여 가상현실로 표현되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 콘텐츠와 아날로그 종이를 융합하고 모바일 증강현실 기술을 사용하여 다양한 상호작용을 체험할 수 있게 해주는 디지로그북을 로봇학습에 적용한다. 로봇학습을 더 풍부하게 만들기 위해 동영상, 입체영상, 애니메이션 등의 중요한 요소를 3D Max에 적용하고, 보다 쉬운 로봇블록 조립을 위해서 블록들 간의 위계질서를 보다 쉽게 파악할 있도록 고안한다. 특히 모바일에서 실행되는 디지로그북은 언제 어디서나 로봇학습이 가능하다. In this paper, we apply the learning of the mobile robot insect augmented reality Digilog Book. In the era of electronic, book written in paper space just have moved to virtual reality space. The virtual reality, constraints spatial and physical, in the real world, it is a technique that enables to experience indirectly situation not experienced directly as user immersive experience type interface. Applied to the learning robot Digilog Book that allows the fusion of paper analog and digital content, using the augmented reality technology, to experience various interactions. Apply critical elements moving, three-dimensional images and animation to enrich the learning, for easier block assembly, designed to grasp more easily rank order between the blocks. Anywhere at any time, is capable of learning of the robot in Digilog Book to be executed by the mobile phone in particular.

        약용식물의 증류 추출물을 이용한 기능성 음료 개발에 관한 연구

        The primary objective of this study was to determine the effects of a water-distilled extract with 15 kinds of Korean medicinal herb on antioxidant activity, antimicrobial activity against Helicobacter pylori, and lipid metabolism. The water-distilled extract (WE) and fermenting water-distilled extract (FE) of medicinal herbs were utilized in order to make functional beverages. The EDA (electron donating activity), SOD-like ability, and RAE (relative antioxidant efficacy) of WE averaged 24.47, 50.35, and 1.57%, respectively, but the EDA, SOD-like ability, and RAE of FE was retardeded by 12.01, 35.72, and 1.55%, respectively. The antimicrobial activity against Helicobacter pylori of WE averaged 12.84 mm as a diametric clear zone, and was significantly (p<0.05) higher than those measured in the WE and control. Serum triglyceride contents, total serum cholesterol contents, and serum LDL-cholesterol contents of the WE group were significantly (p<0.05) lower than those of the control group. The liver total-cholesterol contents and liver triglycerides of WE group were significantly (p<0.05) lower than those of the control group. The plasma TBARS value of the WE group was significantly (p<0.05) lower than that of the control group. The sensory evaluation, taste, and smell of FE were more desirable than those of WE, but the color of WE was more desirable. According to the above results, the water distilled extracts (WE) of 15 kinds of medicinal herb are supposed to be effective with regard to antioxidant activity and lipid metabolism, but the antimicrobial activity against Helicobacter pylori was increased as the result of fermentation.

        약용식물 추출물의 Helicobacter pylori에 대한 항균 활성과 항산화 활성에 미치는 효과

        This study was designed to investigate the effect of medicinal herb extract on the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities against Helicobacter pylori, which is known as a ulcerogenic pathogen. The concentration of total phenolic compound of Scutellaria baicalensis(13.14%) was highest among water extracts and that of Ulmus parvifolia(15.12%) was highest among the ethanol extracts. The antioxidant activity of the water extract of Scutellaria baicalensis and of the ethanol extract of Ulmus parvifolia were 91.00% and 65.03%, respectively, in DPPH assay. The antioxidant activity of the water extract of Scutellaria baicalensis and of the ethanol extract of Ulmus parvifolia were 32.90% and 27.70%, respectively, in SOD assay. The antioxidant activity of the water extract of Ulmus parvifolia and of the ethanol extract of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer was 2.15 and 2.17, respectively, in TBARS assay. In disc method, Scutellaria baicalensis showed the highest anti-microbial activity against H. pylori, followed by Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer among the water extracts and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer showed the highest anti-microbial activity followed by Radix puerariae among ethanol extract.

      • 분산 멀티미디어 응용을 위한 실시간 동기화 메카니즘

        분산 멀티미디어 시스템에서는 미디어들 간에 존재하는 시간 관계성을 정확하게 표현하면서 네트워크의 가변적인 지연으로 인해 유발되는 비동기 문제를 해결할 수 있는 동기화 메카니즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 분산 환경의 멀티미디어 응용을 지원하기 위해 Petri Net에 기반한 RTPN(Real-Time Petri Net) 동기화 명세 모델을 제안한다. 제한하는 모델은 미디어의 지연관계나 중요도에 의해 주요 키 미디어와 상대 키 미디어를 정의하여 다양한 미디어 객체간의 시간 관계를 유연하게 명세 한다. 그리고 점화 규칙은 비동기 허용율에 기반한 점화 함수에 의해 즉시 발생 되어 미디어 내 및 미디어간 실시간 동기화를 지원한다. 한편 프리젠테이션 레벨의 재동기를 위한 비동기 제어 알고리즘은 보다 효율적인 QoS 보장이 가능하다. Effective synchronization specification model which can specify temrxlral relationship among media resolving asynchronous problem due to variable network delay is necessary in a distributed multimedia system. Therefore in this paper, we propose RTPN(Real- Time Petri Net) synchronization specification model based on Petri Net for multimedia application in a distributed real time environment. The proposed RTPN model supplies a tlexible decsription of the temporal relationship among various media objects by defining primary key media and relative key media according to delay and importance among media. Firing rule is instantly executed by firing function based on QoS values which supports intra-media and inter-media syncbronization. And asynchronous control algorithm for resynchronization of presentation level is possible more effective supporting of QoS.

        노인급식제도 개발을 위한 농촌 노인의 식생활 양상 기초조사 -영양소 섭취 및 건강관련 행동 실태-

        A study about health status of the elderly in rural area was performed with 110 home-bound elderly. The results obtained by questionaires and personal interviews recall were as follows. 1) Subjects were 68.6 years of age on average. They revealed the physical tendency of not overweight but high blood pressure. 2) We found that seniors who live alone in rural area were more than in urban area. 3) Average daily intakes of energy and protein of rural elderly were lower than the Korean RDA and the intakes of Ca, riboflavin and niacin in female were also lower. 4) Nutrient intakes were related to family income, food expense, smoking amount, drinking frequency and duration of exercrse, which suggested the needs of nutrition education for the seniors and meal services especially for the low-income elderly.

        모바일 기반 증강현실 기술을 활용한 3D전래동화 콘텐츠 연구

        본 논문에서는 모바일 증강현실기술 기반을 활용한 3D전래동화 콘텐츠에 관한 연구이다. 지식기반사회의 핵심콘텐츠 산업으로 주목받고 있는 시공간을 연결하는 SW기술 증강현실(Augmented Reality) 기술을 활용하여 흥미로운 전래동화를 한국어, 중국어, 영어로 자막언어선택으로 외국어학습에 적용한다. 이를 위해 상호작용 AR게임(놀이)으로 재구성하였다. 전래동화는 3D 콘텐츠 제작을 위해 6~8개의 scene으로 분량을 구성하고, 각색하여 번역하였다. 더빙은 모국어로 사용하는 원어민 성우를 통해 표준발음을 사용하여 더빙하였고, 효과음은 장면에 어울리도록 별도 제작하여 편집하였다. 시나리오를 구성하고, 3D 모델구성, 인터렉션 구성, 사운드 이펙트를 구성하고 콘텐츠 메타데이터를 작성한 후, Unity 3D 게임엔진을 실행하여 프로젝트를 생성하고, 스크립터로 기술한다. 재미있고 유익한 전래동화를 ICT기술을 접목한 융복한 콘텐츠로 경험하면서, 첨단기술기반 교육을 수용하며, 생활주변에서 소프트웨어를 인식할 수 있는 기회를 가지게 한다. In this paper, we researched the excellency of 3D graphic nursery contents which is developed by mobile AR technology. AR technology has currently people's attention because of the potential to be core contents of future ICT industry. We applied AR nursery contents for kid's subtitle language selection in Korean, Chinese and English education. The original fairy tale consisted of 6~8 scenes for the 3D contents production, and was adapted and translated. Dubbing was dubbed by the native speaker using the standard pronunciation, and the effect sound was edited separately to fit the scene. After composing a scenario, constructing a 3D model, constructing a interaction, constructing a sound effect, and creating content metadata, the Unity 3D game engine is executed to create a project and describe it as a script. It provides a fun and informative tradition of fairy tales with abundant content that incorporates ICT technology, accepting advanced technology-based education, and having opportunities to perceive software in daily life.

        성인 코우츠병에서 유리체강내 베바시주맙 주입술 2예

        Purpose: To report the efficacy of intravitreal bevacizumab injection in adult patients with Coats’disease. Case summary: Vascular telangiectasia, microaneurysms, circinate hard exudates, and macular edema were shown in the macula of two patients. Vascular abnormality was limited to≤6 clock hours in both cases. In case 1, the temporal retina demonstrates filigree-like vessels and capillary nonperfusion. In case 2, the nasal retina demonstrates aneurysmal dilatation and multiple microaneurysms. Intravitreal bevacizumab injection was administered in both cases. After 1 month, macular edema decreased. Laser photocoagulation was performed for vascular telangiectasia, microaneurysms, and capillary nonperfusion area. Then an additional decrease of macular edema was observed. Fluorescein leakage decreased, as well. After 1 month (case 1) and 2 months (case 2), macular edema increased. The second and third intravitreal reinjections were administered to each patient. Macular edema decreased. Conclusions: We report two rare cases of Coats’disease in adult patients. Intravitreal bevacizumab injection in patients with Coats’disease can result in a rapid decrease of macular edema, which will then lead to rapid visual recovery and an opportunity for effective laser photocoagulation. We recommend that intraviteal bevacizumab injection be used in combination with laser photocoagulation for the treatment of Coats’disease. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2009;50(4):630-634
