PURPOSE: An increase in bone mineral density during adolescence increases resistance to fractures in older age. The Korean Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the Korean Society of Exercise Physiology developed exercise guidelines to increase the peak bone mass (PBM) in adolescents based on evidence through a systematic review of previous research. METHODS: Articles were selected using the systematic method, and the exercise guidelines were established by selecting key questions (KQs) and defining the effects of exercises based on evidence through a literature review for selecting the final exercise method. There were 9 KQs. An online search was conducted on articles published since 2000, and 93 articles were identified. RESULTS: An increase in PBM in adolescence was effective for preventing osteoporosis and fractures in older age. Exercise programs as part of vigorous physical activity (VPA) including resistance and impact exercise at least 5 to 6 months were effective for improving PBM in adolescents. It is recommended that resistance exercise is performed 10 to 12 rep·set<sup>-1</sup> 1-2 set·region<sup>-1</sup> and 3 days·week<sup>-1</sup> using the large muscles. For impact exercises such as jumping, it is recommended that the exercise is performed at least 50 jumps·min<sup>-1</sup>, 10 min·day<sup>-1</sup>, and 2 days·week<sup>-1</sup>. CONCLUSIONS: Exercise guidelines were successfully developed, and they recommend at least 5 to 6 months of VPA, which includes both resistance and impact exercises. With the development of exercise guidelines, the incidence of osteoporosis and fractures in the aging society can be reduced in the future, thus contributing to improved public health.
복강경 충수절제술시 함께 시행된 만성 담낭 병변의 동시절제

Purpose: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) for asymptomatic gallbladder disease has been increasing since 1990 due to the development of LC technique. Moreover, it might be considered when someone with asymptomatic gallbladder disease needs emergency operation due to acute abdomen such as acute appendicitis. The aim of this study is to identify the efficacy of concurrent laparoscopic appendectomy with cholecystectomy. Methods: From January 1997 to June 2009, 40 patients underwent laparoscopic appendectomy with cholecystectomy at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital. 40 patients were enrolled in this study. We analyzed, retrospectively, clinical and diagnostic information, time and open conversion rate in operation, length of postoperation hospital stay, and complication rate. Results: The mean age was 44.53±15.34 and male to female ratio was 1 to 1.86. 5% of all patients underwent abdominal surgery and 20% of all patients had associated diseases. Most common associated symptoms and final diagnosis were right lower abdominal pain (72.5%) and simple gallbladder stone (62.5%). Mean operation time was 98.75±33.14 min. and there was no open conversion. Mean length of postoperation hospital stay was 5±2 days. There was one (2.5%) postoperative complication. Conclusion: Combined operation of laparoscopic cholecystectomy during laparoscopic appendectomy can be a good modality for patients with chronic gallbladder disease.
피부 활성을 갖는 Phytosphingosine Ascorbate의 합성

피부 활성 물질로 넓이 알려져 있는 vitamin C (L-Ascorbic acid)는 콜라겐 생합성 촉진과 강한 항산화 작용으로 피부 항노화 및 주름 개선 효과 있을 뿐만 아니라 멜라닌 세포 활성 억제, 자외선 차단, 상처치유 등의 효능을 갖고 있다. 그러나 물성 면에서 피부 자극과 수분 및 공기, 빛에 불안정하여 쉽게 산화된다는 단점을 갖고 있다 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔고, 그 결과 다양한 vitamin C 유도체가 개발되었다. 그러나 아직까지도 vitamin C의 불안정한 물성을 해결하면서 그 자체의 효능을 피부에 적용시키기에는 미흡한 점이 많다는 평을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 vitamin C의 불안정한 물성을 개선시키고 그 효능을 피부에 적용시킬 수 있는 vitamin C 유도체를 개발하기 위해, 피부 친화성이 우수한 스핑고지질류 중 하나인 phytosphingosine을 이용하여 산염기 반응에 의한 vitamin C의 OH기와 phytosphingosine의 -NH<sub>2</sub>이온 결합시킨 새로운 vitamin C 유도체인 phytosphingosine ascorbate (SP-VC)를 합성하였다. 이렇게 합성된 phytosphingosine ascorbate (SP-VE)는 원소 분석(C58.3 : H9.3 : N2.8 : 029.5) 및 mass spectrosocopy (Maldi TOF-MS), UV/vis spectra (268.5 nm), <sup>1</sup>H NMR, FT-IR, 열분석 (m.p=154°C), HPLC 등을 통하여 구조 및 물성을 확인하였다 또한 효능면에서는 우선적으로 phytosphingosine ascorbate(SP-VC)의 항균 및 항산화 효과를 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 vitamin C와 phytosphingosine의 효능을 동시에 갖으며 불안정한 물성과 자극을 개선시킬 것이라 예상되는 새로운 소재를 합성하였다. In the human skin, vitamin C (L -ascorbic acid) that is well known as the activated materials has effects that is skin anti-aging and wrinkle repair by giving impetus to collagen biosynthesis and anti-oxidation, and that is the sun screen, a wound recovering, inhibition melanogenesis and so on. In spite of its effects, vitamin C has the defects of the skin stimulation and easily oxidized instability by water, air, heat and light. For solving their matters, many investigation is advanced and its results are synthesized the various vitamin C derivatives. And yet they have not solved the unstable property of vitamin C and were still insufficient for the comparing with the effect of the pure vitamin C itself. In this study, in order to prepare vitamin C derivative of being improved the stability and to apply vitamin C effect in the skin, we prepared new vitamin C derivative, phytosphingosine ascorbate, by using phytosphingosine, one of sphingolipids, which have a distinguished skin affinity. Phytosphingosine ascorbate can be prepared as the ionic bond between amine group (-NH<sub>2</sub>) of phytosphingosine and hydroxy group (-OH) of vitamin C by way of the relatively simple reaction. So the structure and properties of the synthesized phytosphingosine ascorbate was confirmed the use of elemental analysis (C 58.3 : H 9.3 : N 2.8 : O 29.5), MALDI TOF-MS (Mw=492.58), Ultraviolet spectra (268.5 nm), 1H NMR, FT-IR spectra, thermal analysis (m.p=l54°C), HPLC and so on. And we could confirm the anti-bacterial and anti-oxidation effects. Based on these results, we could confirm to prepare a new material that was expected of both effects of vitamin C and phytosphingosine and that is improved properties of vitamin C.
FSO 환경에서의 MIMO 와 SISO 의 outage probability 분석

본 논문에서는 무선 광통신(Free Space Optics) 환경에서 송수신기의 개수에 따른 outage probability 의 차이를 분석하였다. 송수신단 사이의 거리, 기상환경 그리고 신호종류를 달리하여 시뮬레이션을 진행했으며, 각 환경마다 링크의 outage probability 를 비교하였다. MIMO 무선 광통신이 가지는 이점과 이 이점들이 송수신단 사이의 신호 트래킹에 도움을 주는 이유를 제시하였다.

The results that has discussed in this paper are related to the development of pre-Crash Safety System that is an application of Advanced Safety Vehicle (ASV) to enhance driving convenience and safety. Pre-Crash Safety System is all active safety system aimed to mainly prevent the occurrence of accident and finally reduce the damage of passenger caused by an avoidable collision. It is researched to predict an avoidable collision by sensor and actuate the motorized seat belt in order to improve initial restraint performance and optimize occupant position in advance of collision. Laser radar sensor is applied to achieve the clearance and relative velocity between front vehicle and subject vehicle. Stopping distance algorithm is used in this project to determine the event of collision warning.

〈목적〉 총수 담관 결석의 치료 방법은 내시경적 괄약근 절개를 이용한 결석의 제거나 주된 치료방법이었으나 복강경 수술 방법이 등장하면서 담낭 절제를 포함하여 총수담관 결석을 동시에 치료하는 방법이 대안을 제시되고 있다. 환자의 상황에 따라 이들의 치료 방법이 갖는 장점과 단점을 고려하여 가장 적절한 치료 방법을 적용하는 것이 중요한 것이다, 연구의 목적은 총수 담관 결석의 치료 방법으로 복강경 수술의 적응증과 제한점을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 〈방법〉
파워종목 선수들의 ACTN3 유전자 다형별 무산소성파워의 차이

본 연구의 목적은 엘리트 파워지향성 선수들을 대상으로 ACTN3 유전자 다형의 분포 비율과 Wingate test를 통한 최대무산소성 수행능력과의 관련성을 비교하는 것이다. 근력 및 파워를 요하는 100명의 국가대표 및 상비군 선수들(레슬링 31명, 유도 13명, 복싱 16명, 펜싱 6명, 사이클 16명, ≤400m 육상 18명)을 대상으로 ACTN3 유전자다형을 조사하였다. 무산소성 능력의 평가항목인 Wingate test를 통해 Peak power 및 Average power를 다형별로 비교하였다. 남자 선수들 체중 당 Peak Power(W/kg)에서 RR형+RX형이 13.67 ± 1.57, XX형은 12.50 ± 2.04로 R allele를 가진 선수들에게서 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 그러나 여자 선수들에서는 모든 항목에서 아무런 차이가 보이지 않았다. 결론적으로, ACNT3 R allele를 보유한 남자 선수들에서 Peak power가 높을 것으로 사료된다. The ACTN3 R577X polymorphism has been associated with an elite athletes status. Several studies have determined that the R allele is connected with power-oriented athletic performance, whereas the nonfunctional XX genotype may give some beneficial effect for endurance performance. The main aim of the study was to determine the possible interaction between the ACTN3 R577X polymorphism and an power-oriented athlete status in Korean elite athletes (wrestling 31, judo 13, boxing 16, fencing 6, cycle 16, ≤400m athlete 18). Each athletes performed a 30-second WAPtest with a resistance equal to 7.5% for male and 5% for female body weight. Genotyping for the ACTN3 R577X (rs1815739) polymorphism was performed using the TaqMan approach. The ACTN3 R577X genotypes exhibited a HardyWeinberg equilibrium distribution in our population. The relative and absolute average power results of the 30-second Wingate test did not differ significantly among the genotypes. However, the relative peak power result of the Wingate test was significantly higher in the R-allele- dominant model groups than in the XX group in male but not female athletes. These results suggest that the ACTN3 R allele is associated with the relative peak power during the Wingate test in male Korean elite athletes.
