In the this study, the influence of chemical composition(added-Ti, Nb) and CAL(Continuous Annealing Line) condition on baking hardenability(BH) were investigated with various types of HS340㎫ bake-hardenable steels sheet for automobile outside panel. BH value of Ti-added steel was stably expressed over 3kgf/㎟. In order to obtain BH over 3kgf/㎟, Nb-added BH steel is more difficulties in controlling annealing temperature and line speed than Ti-added BH steel.<br/> <br/>

The effects of annealing conditions on the mechanical properties of dual phase steels with two different compositions have been investigated. 0.08C-0.02Si-I.9Mn and 0.07C-0.05Si-2.2Mn steels were used to reveal the effect of soaking temperature and overaging temperature. Micro-structures were observed with Lepera's etching method for delineating the martensite phase of dual phase steels. The best heat-treatment condition of 590MPa grade Dual Phase steels was proposed on the base of this study.<br/>

As GA(Hot dip galvanncaled sleel sheet has good corrosion resistance weldability and paintability as well as excellent formability it's demand is rapidly increasing for automotive panel However. since GA coated layer is composed of several kinds of brittle Fe-Zn Metallic compounds which are susceptible to powdoring in case of press forming. very careful control of manufacturing conditions such as galvanncaling heat-treatment or bath composition is essential to meet with the required quality of automobile use<br/> In the study the requirced charateristics of automotive panel is practically surveyed in detail and the appropriate manufacturing conditions of galvannealing or bath composition with the newly developed induction heating type furnace are experimentally investigated by using various analysing and simulating equipments including hot dipping and galvannealing simulation system.<br/>

HS440, HS590 as an automotive steel sheet, which are used for a structural part in an auto-body, are occasionally exposed in the various temperature environments(about -50℃ ~ 150℃). Therefore, It is required to evaluate the mechanical characteristics(tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, work-hardening exponent etc.) under the low to high temperature environment. In this study, in order to identify the mechanical characteristics of HS440 and HS590, the uniaxial tensile tests are performed with the variation of temperature range from -60℃ to 200℃. Tensile tests carried out using universal testing machine(ZWICK Z250) with installed temperature chamber and acquired stress-strain relation, tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, work hardening exponent at the various temperature conditions. The test results showed that the mechanical properties(strength, elongation etc.) increased in the low temperature(0℃ ~ -60℃) and decreased in the high temperature(50℃ ~ 200℃). Accordingly, It is necessary to evaluate the accurate material properties and has to consider the change of mechanical properties with the variation of temperature for the safety design of an auto-body.
