Shaft supported bearing of agitated type chemical reactor have several problems. First one is material degradation of the product. It is caused by the bearings in direct contact with the main structure. Second problem is that the lifespan of the bearing has been shortened because the product is located between the bearing and the shaft. Function analysis, trimming and separation principle of TRIZ are used for problem solving. This paper describes the problem situation and the obtained solution by TRIZ.
