The neuropeptide substance P(SP) has been recognized to modulate immune systems, with close proximity between peptidergic sensory nerve endings and immune cells. These include the macrophage and neutrophil activation, IL-2 production in T cell, augmentation of Ig synthesis, mast cell degranulation, $PGE_2$ and collagenase secretion in synoviocytes. In this study I examined SP-induced various biological activities such as antimicrobial action, cytokine production, and mast cell degranulation in the presence or absence of other inflammatory cell activators. Antimicrobial studies showed that undifferentiated HL-60 cells were not affected by SP. However, SP significantly enhanced antimicrobial action of TPA-treated or dbcAMP-treated HL-60 cells which had been differentiated into PMN or macrophage/monocyte. I could not find synergistic relationship between SP and LPS in parallel experiments of the above. SP did not induce IL-l production from murine macrophage cell line RAW264.7 whether costimulated with LPS or not. Mast cell degranulation was occured only when stimulated with high dose ($10^{-5}M$) of SP and the degree of this activation was slightly reduced by simultaneous application of $MIP-1{\alpha}$. In addition, CGRP which is known to be a common coexisting neuropeptide with SP within specific fibers did not augment the function of SP on mast cell degranulation. These results suggest that immunoregulatory activities of SP could be mediated through direct upregulation of various functions of immune cells and also upregulation of responsiveness of immune cells to other immune activators.

The main goal of periodontal treatment is the long-term maintenance of teeth. Periodic maintenance program is need to prevent periodontal disease and maintain healthy periodontium. Hirschfeld and Wasserman(1978) studied 600 treated periodontal patients. This study categorized periodontal patients using well-maintained, downhill, extreme downhill groups. The purpose of our study is to evaluate effect of periodontal treatment and analyse tooth loss after periodontal treatment using this classification. The study population of j9 patients had been treated and maintained for mean 5.8 years. All patients were on a periodic maintenance program at 2-, 3-, 4, or 6-month intends. The avenge age of the patients at the time of original therapy was 49.6 years. To analyse tooth loss, modified classification was used on the basis of response to therapy using by Hirschfeld and Wasserman in 1978. The results were as follows : 1. 59 treated patients were lost mean 1.42 teeth per patient for 5.8 years of maintenance period. 2. Maxillary first molars were most frequently lost but mandibular lateral incisors were lost no tooth during maintenance period. 3. Tooth mortality received surgical treatment had similar to received nonsurgical treatment. 4. Tooth loss was more frequent in maxillary teeth than mandibular teeth, and posterior teeth than anterior teeth, and more frequent tendency in male than female.

제3대구치의 발치가 인접 2대구치의 치주에 미치는 영향

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of third molar extraction on the periodontal status of the adjacent second molar. A total of 61 second molars in 31 adult periodontitis patients were examined. Among them, 27 second molars without adjacent third molars were included in the test group, and 34 second molars with third molar were included in the control group. Clinical parameters including plaque index, gingival index, and pocket depth and radiographic bone loss were measured around the second molar both in test and control group. The result showed that: (1) the mean plaque index and gingival index of control group were higher than these of the test group but the difference was not statistically significant, (2) the mean pocket depth of the control group was higher than the test group significantly at distal and buccal surface, (3) radiographic hone loss was greater in control group than test group significantly, (4) in Pearson correlation analysis between the age of extraction and radiographic bone loss in the test group, a positive relationship was shown(p<0.01). Within limitation of this study, it may be concluded that third molar extraction in periodontitis patients showed an improvement in periodontal status in contrast the patients group having third molar, therefore earlier a removal of third molar may minimize radiographic hone loss of the adjacent second molar.

다나카 히데미쓰(田中英光) 소설 속에 나타난 일제강점기 조선의 사회상 고찰

Hidemitsu Tanaka was an author of "Buraiha" in the history of Japanese literature, but was not noticed as much as the mainstream writers of "Buraiha" such as Osamu Dazai, Ango Sakaguchi, and Sakunosuke Oda. However, the experiences in Korea, a Japanese imperialist colony that he experienced, are his unique experience, which other writers of "Buraiha" could not experience. Therefore, it is the key to identifying his literary world. In colonial Korea, he acted as a permanent secretary of the Korean Writers Association and left many works against the Korean colonization according to the National Policy Literature promoted by Japanese imperialism. In this article, in the novel against the background of colonial Korea which Britain wrote, after the war, I will try to consider "drunken ship" which is a work of 1948. This work knows the atmosphere of colonial Korea. In addition, this work shows the way that the Korean Writers` Association, which led the Korean literary era at the time, and the Korean writers, the officials of the Korean writers, and the Japanese officials are as they are and their activities. In this paper, I will try to pursue the reality of the colonial Korean literature at that time through the "Drunken Ship" and the activity aspects of literatians.

미야자와 겐지(宮澤賢治) 『토신과 여우(土神ときつね)』에 나타난 화자(話者)의 내면세계 변화상 고찰

Kenji Miyazawa is from Hanamaki of Iwate, Japan. He featured the theme of faith and the farmer life of the Lotus Sutra of the Buddhism in writers of children’s story in poets and did work activity. “Soil God and a Fox” which are a theme of this report have the evaluation called the work which handled the love feelings of the character clearly, and there is the evaluation to be the work which is unique as a children’s story treating love. However, it is difficult to conclude it to be the work which this work features the theme of love simply and made up for. The conventional precedent study has been studied by the Soil God=country, the confrontational diagram called Fox=city mainly. However, in this report, I approach it across one phase of relation of such both opposition. It is going to thereby consider a change aspect of the occurring inside world by a conversation to come out between soil God and a fox and a birch. This is because the viewpoint of the speaker of the third person is an internal world change aspect of one of Kenji Miyazawa who is an author. The change of the internal world produced by soil God in “Soil God and a Fox” and birch, fox and conversation and that of birch is a change aspect of the inside world of Kenji Miyazawa who is speaker=author in the work. As for Kenji Miyazawa who was the speaker in the work, the Utopia that oneself was going to pursue through soil God and a fox and the relations with the birch drew acceptance, it through the children’s story called “soil God and a Fox” as limit characteristics of the situation of Era at the time conclusively.

"Kookminmunkak" launched in November, 1941 by the sponsorship of Choi Jaeseo is five 5 in May, 1945, and final number of is the monthly publication magazine which was published till I do it It is forced the situation of the times within a half year after all and, in the Hangul Alphabet, comes to declare switch to the Japanese magazine unlike the original intention that I was going to publish in Japanese by oneself four times eight times a year. By this report, I considered a background of the times in the foundation of a periodical of such a "Kookminrnunkak" and the bibliography of the magazine and the character of the magazine. And I try to be going to consider a work in "Kookminmunkak" according to a genre from this from now on. The reason is because it seems that precise judgment of pro-Japanese literary arts magazine or the pure literary arts magazine of "Kookminmunkak" can go down thereby.
