For the definition of development project, this paper proposes an integrated design model for the project 3P's(Products, Process, and People) architecture solutions balancing the originating requirements as well as the design targets of product, process, and IPDT. The model is suggested to develop the integrated design method with trade-off analysis and alternatives evaluation of products, processes, and IPDT using QFD.

Traditionally the powdered polymer is used in the sewage treatment and water purifying plants. The powdered polymer has several problems such as bad working condition by dispersed powder and unstable operation of dehydrator by a lump of undissolved polymer, so emulsion polymer is used recently. However, preexisting emulsion polymer dissolving facility can't be the perfect alternative because it has some technical problems. By analyzing preexisting system problems, we applied a new dissolving unit(Mixing corn) and a lot of things to accomplish complete automation. As a result, tile system that we invented can reduce the cost of facility and is suitable for unit-procss automation. we hava already acquired patent in this new facility at september 2007.

The present study is aimed at enhancing the equality of the flow distribution and suggesting a specific remedy. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was performed to evaluate the feasibility of the suggested remedy, while operating Step method(Numerical analysis to design distribution channel)program and Pilot plant tests were carried out to verify the CFD simulation results. As a result, it was investigated that the modification of hydraulic structure in the distribution channel, that is to set up the longitudinal orifice baffle in the center of distribution channel, could improve the equality of the flow distribution.

In pump stations, abrupt black-out can cause water hammer to break pipeline, pumps and valves if the pressure is high enough. To prevent this, usually we adopt air-chamber and safety valve. Currently, schematic control of valves downstream of pumps is also proposed as an economical way to damp pressure surge in pump station. In Sung-Nam pump station of Kwater, they replaced check valves of pumps to butterfly valves which can be controlled by logical sequence to check back-flow, to open-close for starting and to stop and to relieve water hammer. This study is to evaluate the ability of the butterfly valve and to make optimal control schedule of the valve as a damper of water hammer.
