Multiple chiral magnetic domain walls (DW) motions on a perpendicularly magnetized nanowire by applying transverse magnetic field pulses are systematically investigated. The chiral DW motions depend on the directions of the magnetic fields, the magnetic domain wall configurations, and the signs of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DMI) interaction. For racetrack memory, the successive chiral DW motions by introducing the repetitive magnetic field pulses for both directions are numerically demonstrated. Lastly, various applications such as the next-generation non-volatile memory devices and the artificial intelligent logic devices based on the chiral DW motions are discussed.

We review here the recent progress on the study of the magnetization dynamics as well as the basic principle of the related phenomena. The static properties of the magnetic domain walls and skyrmions as well as their dynamic properties under application of magnetic field and/or spin current are discussed together with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. Finally, the basic principle and recent progress in the antiferromagnetic spintronics are introduced.

Brillouin light scattering (BLS) is used to measure thermally exited surface and bulk spinwave (SW) modes in various magnetic materials and it is to study SW frequency ranges up to sub-hundred GHz. In this review, we discuss magnetic properties on magnetic thin films including Heisenberg interaction, in-plane biaxial magnetic anisotropy, perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction probed by using a BLS spectroscopy.

The thickness dependent magnetic properties of Ni81Fe19 thin film are investigated using Brillouin light scattering and Vector network analyzer-ferromagnetic resonance. Ni81Fe19 thin films are fabricated by DC magnetron sputtering system as 15, 30, 50, 70 nm. The determined magnetic parameters are saturation magnetization (Ms), exchange stiffness constant (Aex), and Gilbert damping constant (α). Ms values are slightly increased as increasing Ni81Fe19 thickness and decreased as increasing Ni81Fe19 thickness. Aex values are almost identical value as 8.9 pJ/m, and α is decreased from 0.0113 ± 0.0001 to 0.0086 ± 0.0002 as increasing Ni81Fe19 thickness.
