The aim of this research is to investigate the demographic characteristics of the purchase tendencies and shopping trends amongst female golfers and how these are influenced by their life style and to analyse their selection criteria for purchases of golf-related items. The research methodology was through the use of questionnaires, completed by female golfers in Gyeongnam. The results are as follows: life style trends of male golfers were analysed to be categorized into one of the following: the shopping-addicted, fashion-conscious, rationalist and family oriented spenders. The characteristics of these categories are described as one of the following: utilitarian-complacent, rationalist, self-worshipping, inconsiderate. The demographic characteristics showed notable variations only in age differences. The obtained results show that the influences of the variables are minimal and there was no notable correlation. Significant differences were observed from one life style group to another, in selection criteria for purchase, which mainly depended on style, design, colour, pattern, designer-label, co-ordinated looks, similarity, ease of maintenance and functionality. Comparisons were made between the previously categorized life-style-groups and notable differences were present in such characteristics as ostentatious, trendy, aesthetically pleasing and functional.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the historical changes of western men`s underclothes in the first half of the 20C and analyze functions and features of men`s underclothes. This study was to utilize many literatures in the analysis of historical changes of western men`s underclothes. In the 1900`s. the attached collar was giving place to the detachable, and the coloured shirt for day wear was becoming accepted. The correct wear for various occasions was given. Double collar was the favourite for day wear. The dress-shirt protector worn over the dress-shirt front. Men preferred to vest and pants in one as a combined garment. In the 1910`s, underclothes were permitting freer movement, but what was still more significant was the growing inclination to reduce the layers which covered the body. The new conception of decency which was beginning to appear continued to characterize underclothing the symbols of social rank, expect for formal occasion, were declining. For day the white shirt was being displaced by the soft-fronted shirt. In the 1920-1930`s, Underclothes were reduced in number, extent and thickness. Underclothing had lost two of its original function: it no longer preserved the warmth of the body, nor did it disguise its essential shape. Both sexes discarded the use of white underwear. In the 1930`s, men saw an increasing preference for the coloured shirt. Combinations became increasingly popular and the singlet were displacing the under-vest in the 1930`s. All undergarments were very commonly in natural colours. In the 1940`s, for evening dress, shirt was plain linen front and square cuffs. Short trunks reached to mid-thigh, had a front waist yoke with three button fastening. Underclothes were pursued ease and activity.

영화의상에 나타난 고대 시대극의 지역별 복식 특성

고대는 기원전부터 시작되어 사적 자료가 매우 적으므로 철저한 고증을 바탕으로 한 복식제작에 한계를 갖고 있어, 다른 시기 복식 연구에 비해 미진한 편이다. 그러나 고대가 복식의 근원을 나타내는 중요한 시기이므로 고대를 배경으로 한 시대극 복식 연구는 복식 연구에 매우 필요하다. 본 연구는 고대를 배경으로 하는 시대극 중에서 각 영화에 나타난 복식의 특징적 요소 및 고대 시대극의 지역별로 나타난 영화의상을 특징을 분석하였다. 연구방법은 선행연구, 문헌을 통한 이론적 내용을 바탕으로, 고대를 배경으로 한 영상매체 중에서 고대 복식 특성이 잘 표현된 영상매체를 선정하여 디비디 플레이어를 통해 시각적 분석을 하였다. 연구결과, 각 지역별로 이집트는 장신구 사용이 두드러지고 이를 통해 확연한 신분 표시가 표현되었다. 메소포타미아는 바지, 모카신 착용으로 산악지대 자연환경의 영향을 받은 점과 다양한 문양과 화려한 색으로 고대 지역 중, 문양이 가장 발달되게 표현되었다. 그리스는 지중해의 기후의 자연 환경적 요인이 반영된 드레이프성이 많은 의상디자인이나 색을 통해 표현되었다. 로마는 의상에서 색, 문양, 장식 크기 등으로 엄격한 신분 표시를 나타낸 것이 영화에 반영되어 나타났다. 영화의상에도 자연환경과 사회문화적 환경에 따라 지역별 복식의 특성이 반영되어 나타났다. 여러 작품 중 크레오파트라, 페르시아의 왕자, 트로이, 벤허 등이 각 지역별 복식이 비교적 잘 고증되었다. 그러나 다른 시대의 시대극 영화의상에 비해 고대는 영화의상의 고증이 미흡한 편이다. 또한 고대의 다른 지역에 비해 시기적으로 오래된 이집트, 메소포타미아 지역은 사적 자료가 철저히 고증되지 않은 채로 표현되었고, 특히 메소포타미아는 유물 자체가 적어서, 배경 영화도 적고, 의상 고증도 미미하게 나타났다. As ancient times were started from B.C. and have a few historical documents, it is limited to make costume based on a thorough historical research. Therefore, researches on ancient costume are rather not enough than researches on costume in other times. But as ancient times are an important time to appear the origin of costume, it is very necessary for researches on costume to examine an effect of ancient regional costume on costume movies. The purpose of the study was to analyze distinguishing elements of movie costumes and features of movie costumes by each ancient region in historical play based on the ancient times. The study carried out visual analysis through DVD player by selecting video media expressing features of ancient costume properly out of visual media based on the ancient times on the basis of theoretic contents through preceding researches and literature. The results of the study were as follows. By each region, Egypt used accessories distinguishingly for expressing a distinct status. In Mesopotamia, Mesopotamians wore pants and moccasin because of an effect of natural environment in a mountainous area and expressed patterns the most developmentally out of ancient regions through diverse patterns and splendid colors. Greece was expressed by draping costume design or colors reflecting natural environmental factors of the Mediterranean climate. In Rome, expression of a distinct status was expressed by being reflected in movies through costume such as colors, patterns and accessories. According to natural environment and socio-cultural environment, features of costume by each region were reflected. Out of diverse films, Cleopatra, Prience of Persia, Troy, Ben-Hur ascertained ancient costume by each region relatively. In comparison with other ancient regions, Egypt and Mesopotamia with a longer history were expressed with thoroughly not ascertained historical data. Especially, as Mesopotamia has a few remains, it was little used for film background and historical research of its costume was not enough.

초상화에 표현된 마리 앙뜨와네트 여왕 복식의 상징적 의미

복식이 사실적으로 표현된 초상화는 복식연구에 있어서는 기본이 되며 고증자료로서 중요한 자료이다. 특히 마리 앙뜨와네트는 많은 초상화를 남겨, 마리앙뜨와네트 여왕의 초상화는 로코코시대 복식의 중요한 자료이다. 그러나 로코코시대를 배경으로 한 복식 연구에 있어서 마리 앙뜨와네트의 초상화에 대한 연구는 미미하므로, 초상화를 통한 상징적 의미에 대한 다각적인 연구가 이루어져 된다고 본다. 이 연구의 목적은 초상화에 나타난 마리 앙뜨와네트 여왕 복식의 상징적 의미를 고찰하는 것이다. 본 연구 범위는 마리 앙뜨와네트 초상화에 나타난 복식과 인물을 둘러싼 배경을 포함한 초상화 전체의 상징된 면을 고찰하였다. 마리 앙뜨와네트의 초상화에 표현된 상징적 의미에 있어서는 예술적 취향, 활동성, 고귀함, 개방성, 자애로움이 강조되어 나타났다. 여왕의 위풍당당한 면모와 함께, 당시 유럽에서 프랑스가 최고의 강성함을 나타내고 있었다. 역사상에서 마리 앙뜨와네트는 패션리더로써 사치스러움만 강조되었지만, 초상화를 통해 음악과 무용, 연극 등 모든 예술 분야에 관심을 가진 감성이 풍부한 왕비였음을 알 수 있다. 또한 마리 앙뜨와네트는 위엄을 나타내기 위한 권위적 의상 외에 소박한 의상을 착용하여 여왕 취향의 새로운 면이 고찰되었다. 이 소박한 의상을 통해 과감히 시대를 초월하여 새로운 것을 수용한 자유분방함과 진취적 사고를 가진 패션리더임을 상징하였다. 승마복 차림의 초상화에서, 여왕은 활동적 성향을 나타내었으며, 기마 자세를 통해 여성이라는 성의 굴레에 속하지 않은 개방적이고 진취적인 기질이 부각되었다. 다른 여왕 초상화에는 왕비의 품위를 유지하는 권위적인 모습들이 많지만, 마리 앙뜨와네트는 내실에서의 자유로운 모습도 그리게 하는 자유로운 성향을 가진 소유자였다. 이와 같이, 역사상의 어떤 여왕보다도 마리 앙뜨와네트는 다양한 예술 분야에 관심을 가진 감성이 풍부하며, 문화와 복식에 큰 영향을 끼친 여왕으로 고찰되었다. 본 연구는 프랑스 로코코사, 마리 앙뜨와네트 여왕 전기, 프랑스 마리 앙뜨와네트 시대의 복식사, 복식조형에 관한 다양한 국내외 문헌 및 선행연구논문, 웹사이트 등을 연구 진행 도구로 이용하였다 The portrait expressing costume realistically is the basics of costume research and important as data for historical research. Especially, as Marie Antoinette left many portraits, her portraits are important data of the costume in the Rococo times. In the costume research based on the Rococo times, the researches on Marie Antoinette`s portraits are not enough. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out multilateral researches on symbolic meaning through her portraits. The purpose of this study is to examine Queen Marie Antoinette`s costume in her portraits according to symbolic meanings. The study examined the symbolic side of the whole portraits including costume, characters and background in Marie Antoinette`s portraits. In the symbolic meaning expressed of the portrait of Marie Antoinette, artistic taste, activity, nobility, openness and benevolence were distinguished. Queen Marie Antoinette expressed in portraits, it is showing the strong power of France in Europe back in time along with a majestic appearance of the queen. In history, only luxuriousness of Marie Antoinette as a fashion leader was emphasized. However, we can see through these portraits that she was a queen with abundant emotion who took an interest in the whole fields of arts such as music, dance and play. A new side of Marie Antoinette`s taste could be found as she wore a simple robe besides authoritative costumes of showing convention and position. It was emphasizing that she was a fashion leader with adventurous thinking and liberalness who accepted new things that transcend the era through this costume. The portrait in an equestrian uniform shows us the queen`s active tendency and the pose to ride a horse emerges her aggressive and open disposition breaking away from the fetters of womankind. Other normal queen portraits have a lot of authoritative features to keep a queen`s dignity, but Marie Antoinette had a liberal tendency as much as making an artist draw her liberal features at bed chamber. As above, it was considered that Marie Antoinette was a queen with abundant emotion who was interested in diverse fields of arts and had a large effect on culture and costume. This study attempted analysis of costumes from portraits related literatures, France` Rococo history, biography of queen Marie Antoinette, the history of costumes of the era of Marie Antoinette of France, costume figures, and various domestic and overseas literatures on visual perception, preliminary study paper, and web sites etc.
