        골프코스의 공간적 특성에 관한 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 시간의 흐름에 따라 생성되는 사건을 매개체로 하여 골프코스를 해석하고자 하는 것이다. 골프경기를 하면서 티샷, 두 번째 샷, 피팅, 홀아웃과 같은 다양한 사건이 발생하는데, 이러한 사건들을 바탕으로 버디, 파, 보기, 더블보기와 같은 준원인에 의한 사건의 계열화가 발생한다. 그러나 이러한 사건의 계열화는 항상 예측할 수 없는 방향으로 진행된다. 이러한 예측 불가능한 사건의 발생은 공간의 특성을 변화시키는 동시에 골퍼에게는 잊을 수 없는 체험을 제공한다. 질 들뢰즈는 공간의 특성을 홈 패인 공간과 매끈한 공간으로 구분하고 있다. 홈 패인 공간이란 차원적이고 계산되어지고 중심을 가지는 원거리적 공간으로 정주민적 공간의 특성을 지니는 공간이며, 매끈한 공간은 방향적이고 탈중심적이며 촉지적인 근거리적 공간으로 유목민적 공간의 특성을 지니는 공간을 말한다. 본 연구는 이러한 매끈한 공간과 홈 패인 공간을 개념적 기준으로 하여 공간의 특성을 분석하였다. 골프코스는 본래 인공적으로 설계된 매끈한 공간의 특성을 지니고 있으나, 골프경기가 진행되면서 사건생성적인 공간으로 변모한다. 즉, 동적이고 변화무쌍하며, 스케일이 장소에 따라 가변화되는 매끈한 공간으로 탈바꿈하게 된다. 경기를 진행함에 따라 이러한 공간적 특성의 반전은 예측할 수 없는 다양한 사건을 통하여 반복된다. 또한, 경기의 주체인 골퍼는 정위-중심설정-한정-순치라는 일련의 장소만들기 과정을 통하여 골프코스와의 역동적, 유기적 맞물림을 통하여 현상학적 체험과정을 느끼게 된다. The purpose of this study is to attempt to interpret golf courses as event-generating spaces with consideration given to the time factor. Through a golf game, a variety of events such as the tee shot, second shot, putt, and hole out are generated. These events have been connected to a series of events after hole out such as birdie, par, bogey and so on. The series of events do not always occur in the same way. They reveal unexpected changes over time. These unexpected changes cause changes in the spatial characteristics and offer unforgettable memories for golfers. Gilles Deleuze mentioned the spatial characteristics as striated space and smooth space. Striated space can be defined as sedentary space. It is distant vision-optical space that has dimensional, metric and centered characteristics, whereas smooth space is defined as nomadic, close vision-haptic space that has directional and acentered characteristics. This study focused on the analysis of spatial characteristics according to striated space and smooth space. Golf courses generally show the characteristics of striated space before beginning the game. As soon as the game begins, however, the golf courses are converted into an event-generating space. The characteristics of striated space are transformed into smooth space, a nomadic space that amplifies the dynamic, changeable, de-scaled and non-metric system. Through the whole game, this transformation is dramatically repeated. On the other hand, the golfer, the subject of the game, senses the phenomenological experience in the process of orientation, center, definition, and domestication.

      • Molecular Cloning of cDNA Encoding the Precursor to the Glycinin $A_2B_{1a}$ Subunit of Soybean

        Glycinin은 대두의 주된 저장 단백질이다. Glycinin 분자는 6개의 subunit으로 이루어져 있으며, 각 subunit은 산성 및 염기성 polypeptide로 구성되어 있다. 이들 polypeptide는 전구체로 합성되어진 후 내부 절단에 의해 산성 및 염기성 polypeptide로 갈라진다. Glycinin 유전자의 구조와 발현 메카니즘을 규명하기 위해 cDNA 유전자 발현 은행을 제조한 후, 항체를 사용한 면역 선별법에 의해 cDNA 유전자를 선별하였다. cDNA 유전자 발현 은행은 mRNA를 이용하여 double stranded cDNA를 합성한 후 ${\lambda}$gt11 발현 운반체에 삽입 제조하였다. 항체는 glycinin 산성 및 염기성 polypeptide 각각에 대한 것을 사용했는데, 이들의 항원은 mRNA 에서 합성된 전구체 단백질의 N-terrninal과 C-terminal 에 해당한다. 8개의 cDNA clone을 분리하였는데 4개는 산성 polypeptide에 대한 항체, 4개는 염기성 polypetide에 대한 항체에 의해 선별된 것이다. 염기서열을 결정한 결과, 그 중 cDNA 길이가 1185 bp인${\lambda}$G1A1 clone 은 glycinin $A_2B_{1a}$ subunit을 code하는 cDNA 유전자의 부분 clone임을 알았다. 이 clone은 산성 polypeptide의 절반과 염기성 polypeptide의 전부에 해당하였다. 이 cDNA 유전자에 해당하는 mRNA의 크기는 약 1.8 kb 임을 Northem blot 결과 알 수 있었다. Glycinin 유전자는 대두 종자에서만 발현이 되었으며, 이러한 조직 특이성 발현 형태는 transcription 단계에서 조절이 이루어지는 것을 알 수 있었다. Glycinin is the most abundant storage protein in soybean. Antibodies to A- and B-polypeptides of glycinin subunit which correspond to N- and C-terminal domain of mRNA translate, respectively, were employed. Eight clones for glycinin, 4 with anti-A and 4 with anti-B polypeptide antibody, were isolated by immunoscreening. The clone ${\lambda}$G1A1 with 1186 bp insert was characterized to be a partial cDNA clone for glycinin subunit $A_2B_{1a}$ by nucleotide sequencing analysis and the expression in E. coli. It encodes a half of $A_2$- and entire $B_{1a}$-polypeptide. The mRNA size of glycinin was demonstrated to be 1.8 kb by Northern blot analysis. It was expressed only in seeds maintaining tissue-specific expression pattern, which was controlled at the level of transcription rather than at translation.

        현시(顯示)적 조경작품의 특성 연구

        An exhibit entitled 'Revelatory Landscapes' was held at the San Francisco Museum of Modem Art from May 5 to October 14, 2001. For this Museum's rot off-site outdoor exhibition, five outstanding design teams-Kathryn Gustafson, Hargreaves Associates, Hood Design, Tom Leader Studio, and ADOBE LA-created site-specific installations in Berkeley, Oakland, San Jose, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Each project showcased a hybridization of environmental art and landscape design. The main content revealed through revelatory landscapes were the natural, cultural, and historical palimpsest of the sites-particularly as related to the history of minorities such as Native American, African Americans and Latin Americans-as well as the every day life of ordinary people. To represent these ideas, a juxtaposition of the past and the present was broadly applied. Furthermore, the use of dramatic colors, textures, and forms in consideration of materials coupled with the revelation of natural elements such as wind and sunlight accelerated the effect of this juxtaposition. Every project of the Revelatory Landscapes exhibit requires a phenomenological experience to be appreciated. Via the five senses, these experiences cause a synesthetic experience beyond solely the visual. By examining the projects of 'Revelatory landscapes', the threshold for a new blending between environmental art and landscape design as well as new landscape design strategies that overcome the dichotomy between nature and culture will change and evolve.

        대두 glyciin subunit A2B1 의 cDNA 유전자 분리

        개방형과 폐쇄형 임플랜트 매식후 주위골 형성에 관한 실험적 연구

        A two-stage procedure is ideal for getting a successful osseointegration. But if a one-stage procedure can achieve a similar osseointegration, the one-stage procedure has several advantages. The purpose of this study was to observe the initial bone formation and bone remodeling of open type (nonsubmerged) and closed type (submerged) titanium implants. Eight ITI hollow-screws and eight Branemark fixtures were divided into two groups (submerged and nonsubmerged) and were installed on the lower jaws of four mongrel dogs. The animals were sacrificed three months later and bone sections with implants were processed for light microscopic and fluorescent microscopic observation. The results were as follows : 1 There was no significant difference in bone-to-implant contact between submerged and nonsubmerged implants. 2. Smooth surface titanium implants showed more bone-to-implant contact than that of titanium plasma coated implants histologically. 3. Under fluorescent microscopy, the active bone remodeling and new bone formation were observed in the interface zone. 4. Under fluorescent microscopy, submerged and nonsubmerged implants had no difference in bone remodeling pattern, and intramembranous bone formation was more prominent. 5. The connective tissue fibers orienting perpendicularly toward implant surface were oberved in the neck of implants.

      • 개착식 터널에서 파형강판 라이닝 적용을 위한 해석적 연구

        기존의 터널 라이닝으로서 주를 이루고 있는 콘크리트 라이닝은 여러 문제점들이 발생하고 있으며 콘크리트 라이닝의 대제 재료에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 파형강판을 개착식 터널 라이닝으로 도입하기 위한 초기 단계에 있어서 파형강판 라이닝의 유한요소 해석을 수행하고 CHBDC (Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, 2000) 규정에 의해 안정성을 검토한 후 몇 가지 조건에 의해 발생되는 단면력의 경향을 분석함으로서 터널 라이닝으로서의 새로운 재료의 거동 특성을 규명하고자 하였다. 또한 현장에서의 시공 단계를 모사한 1/40 scale의 모형토조 실험과 동일한 scale의 수치해석을 수행하여 본 연구에서 사용한 수치해석 기법의 적정성을 검증하였다. A finite element method is used for the force analysis of semicircular arch shaped corrugated steel plate lining. The assessment of stability and behavior for several conditions are executed from the analysis of soil-structure interaction in accordance with CHBDC (Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, 2000). One fortieth scaled model tests were conducted on the semicircular arch lining to verify the FEM analysis results under the earth-load conditions.

        백제권 유물을 활용한 컴퓨터용품 디자인 개발연구

Meanwhile, on the basis of a practical item, the largest issue was the consumption of cultural products by maximizing the economic benefit of the community and at the same time a symbol of cultural heritage items have been transformed into the effectiveness of the national image enhancement is expected to be achieved.

        필지규모와 건물높이간의 관계에 대한 경제학적 분석

        Traditional urban economic theory predicts that the higher the rent, the taller the building. This paper introduces parcel size as an important factor in determining building height due to the existence of core area in the building. Core is defined as portion of the building shared by the residents. The fact that rate of increase in the core area is less than that of the floor area let the effective rent rise with parcel size, which in turn gives our central hypothesis that the larger the parcel size, the taller the building erected on it, with other things being equal. The hypothesis is statistically tested with the data collected from four rapidly growing area in Seoul, Korea. Results of the testing show that the equations with parcel sizes as well as rent levels have higher explanatory power in explaining the building height than those including rent levels only, which validates the hypothesis.
