Purpose: To analyze the clinical and radiological results of the operative treatment in the avulsion fracture on the base of the fifth metatarsal. Materials and Methods: We studied retrospectively, 11 patients of avulsion fracture on the base of the fifth metatarsal operated and followed over 1 year, from February 2000 to May 2002. There were eight men and three women and the average age was 39 years old. The mean follow up period was 14 months. Ten cases were slip-down and one case was fall from a height injuries. We used the modified Foot Score by Wiener for the clinical evaluation, and analyzed the time of union and state of reduction radiologically. Results: In clinical results, we had ten excellent and one good cases by the modified Foot Score at last follow-up. In radiologic results, the complete bony union was achieved in all cases and the duration of the bony union was 37 days in average. Conclusion: We had good result for the avulsion fractures on the base of the fifth metatarsal treated by the operation. This study shows the operation was recommended for the moderate and severe displacement of the avulsion fractures on the base of the fifth metatarsal.

나이지리아 엑빈발전소 보일러 폭발사례

한국전력 해외사업본부에서 나이지리아 엑빈발전소 O&M(Operation and Maintenance) 및 보일러 복구공사를 추진하고 있으며, 보일러 복구공사는 현재 수행이 되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 전력연구원에서는 엑빈발전소에서 발생한 보일러 폭발 발생원인과 대책을 수립하기 위하여 현장 진단을 수행하였다. 따라서 보일러 폭발에 대한 발생 Mechanism과 대책을 소개함으로서 보일러 유지관리에 참고가 되고, 보일러 폭발과 같은 대형사고를 방지하는데 도움이 되기를 바란다.

송화가루(松花粉)의 粒度分布에 관한 연구

Particle size distribution of pine pollens was investigated by laser diffraction method. Size distribution pattern, surface area per volume, mean particle size were different among five pollens with different local origins. When pollen was wet particle size increased from 24% to 75% for maximum size(99% distribution) and 12-18% for mean size(50% distribution) depending on locality. These results were well consistent with light microscopic data and bulk density. Pollen size showed normal distribution with dual peak either separated or overlapped in the large size. Mean size of dry pine pollen ranged from 40 to 51㎛, minimun(10%) from 31.3 to 39.8㎛ and maximum(99%) from 59.3 to 115.9㎛. Volume surface ranged from 0.12㎡ to 0.222㎡/㎤. Bulk density was 0.25g/㎤. Particle size distribution by laser diffraction method will be useful to assess pine quality, local origin and plant origin

Purpose: To seek for mechanisms to prevent fixed dilated pupil including Urrets-Zavalia syndrome after intraocular surgery by analyzing and classifying the causes of such cases. Methods: Medical records and anterior segment photographic images of patients with fixed dilated pupil who underwent penetrating keratoplasty, lamellar keratoplasty, or cataract surgery were analyzed in a retrospective manner from April, 1984 to February, 2014. Results: Among 15 cases of postoperative fixed dilated pupil, 8 eyes of keratoconus eyes had received penetrating keratoplasty done and 7 eyes with ocular disorders other than keratoconus underwent intraocular surgeries. In cases 1 and case 2, which received penetrating keratoplasty for keratoconus, dilated pupil with regular pupil border, iris atrophy, and secondary glaucoma occurred; these cases were classified as group 1 and diagnosed as Urrets-Zavalia syndrome. Cases from 3 to 8 which also received penetrating keratoplasties due to keratoconus, irregularly dilated pupil, severe iris atrophy, posterior synechiae after moderate to severe inflammation in the anterior chamber, and fibrotic membrane on the anterior capsule occurred; these cases were classified as group 2. Finally, cases 9 to 15, which had mild inflammation, no fibrotic membrane, and regularly fixed dilated pupil after receiving other intraocular surgeries were classified as group 3. Conclusions: Differences exist between definite Urrets-Zavalia syndrome and postoperative fixed dilated pupil with regards to regularity of pupillary margin, degree of iris atrophy, posterior synechiae, fibrotic membrane, and posterior subcapsular opacity. Therefore, a new classification of fixed dilated pupil after intraocular surgery which addresses these characteristics is required and various trials to prevent the adverse postoperative complications of fixed dilated pupil should be performed. Preventive measures may include careful control of intraocular pressure, restricting atropine use, completely removing of viscoelastics, and minimal air or gas injection. 우리나라에서 사용하는 총에너지의 97%를 해외에 의존하고 있으며, 총에너지의 약 30%를 건물에서 소비하고 있다. 건물에서의 에너지절약 및 효율적 관리가 우리나라 정책방향인 저탄소 녹색성장에 크게 기여하리라는 것은 쉽게 예측할 수 있다. 최근 국내에서 건물의 효율적인 관리를 위하여 BEMS(Building Energy Management System)가 도입되고 있는 실정이다. 본고에서는 저탄소 녹색성장에 기여할 수 있는 건물에너지관리시tm템인 BEMS의 기술개발 현황과 그 동향에 대해 알아보기로 한다.

망기색에 대한 연구

This study was written in order to help understanding of visible diagnosis of energy and color(기색). Visible diagnosis of energy and color is a very important factor of diagnosis and a necessary step of visible diagnosis. As human's body is under the control of spirit(신) and spirit(신) is stored by five viscera(오장), so spirit expresses the change of five viscera and is reflected by energy and color(기색). Strictly speaking, energy and color(기색) is not divided into each other. But, we can say that glittering glossy part belongs to energy(기) and blue, red, yellow, white and black part belongs to color(색). Various changes of energy and color(기색) observe the rules of yin-yang(음양). If we consider the interior and exterior(내외), top and bottom(상하), right and left(좌우), rise and fall(부침), clearness and muddiness(청탁), weak and severe(미심), spread and gather(산박), gloss and dness(택요) etc. we can decide the yin and yang(음양), inside and outside(표리), coldness and heatness(한열), truth and false(허보), life and death(생사) and prognosis. One man's own color is determined by the five human type(오형인), There are very various points of changing colors. As divided into principal groups, there are three main groups, that is, sky(천), earth(지) and man(인). A season(사시), day and night(주야) and cloud and clear(음청) belong to the factor of sky(천), a direction and configuration of the ground(지형) belong 治 the factor of earth(지), and motion and rest(동정), seven emotions(칠정), age and youth(노소), poor and rich(빈부) and high and low(귀천) belong to the factor of man(인).

군 기록의 온라인 콘텐츠 서비스 현황과 발전방안 - 미 육군의 아카이브즈 사례를 중심으로 -

International conditions surrounding the Korean Peninsula have been recently undergoing a sudden change. The South-North relations have been defined by severe tensions for many years; however, since the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, relations between the two nations began to thaw, and expectations of unification have been rising. Nevertheless, some still warn that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is utilizing a "carrot and stick" tactic. With this, recent research revealed that there is a low sense of national security among college students and teenagers in Korea, which magnified the importance of establishing a strong sense of national security and having a national viewpoint. A way to achieve this is for the army, a core institution of national security, to release army records as online contents. This paper takes an in-depth look into the US Army's online contents service, a leading national records management system, and seeks to provide development plans for the Republic of Korea Army's online contents service. 최근 한반도를 둘러싼 국제 정세가 급변하고 있다. 평창올림픽 개최 전까지만 해도 경색 국면이었던 남북관계가 해빙무드로 전환되어 사회 전반에 걸쳐 통일에 대한 기대감이 고조되고 있으나 한편으로 북한의 전통적인 화전양면(和戰兩面) 전술을 경계해야 한다는 경계의 목소리도 공존하고 있다. 최근 조사에서 드러난 대학생과 청소년층의 낮은 안보의식은 국민들의 확고한 안보의식과 국가관 확립의 필요성을 보여준다. 이를 위해 국가안보의 핵심기관인 육군이 소장한 각종 기록(Army Records)을 온라인 콘텐츠로 재창출하여 제공하는 것이 하나의 방편이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 우방국이자 기록관리 선진국으로 평가받는 미 육군 아카이브즈의 온라인 콘텐츠 서비스 현황을 살펴봄으로써 우리 군 기록의 온라인 콘텐츠 서비스 발전방안을 제시하고자 한다.
