국제 사회복지기관 실무자의 다문화 감수성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 탐색적 연구

국제 사회복지사업의 궁극적인 목적은 개발도상국에 단순히 물적 자원을 제공하는 것을 넘어서 해당지역의 발전과 복지를 위한 기반을 마련하거나 새로운 성과를 이끌어내고자 하는 데에 있다. 국제 사회복지사업 실무자는 수원국의 필요와 욕구에 맞춰 효과적인 해외지원 사업을 진행해야 한다는 목적을 갖게 되는데, 다문화 감수성은 실무자가 문화적 차이에 대해 민감하게 인지하고 반응하며, 타문화에 대해 존중하고 수용하는 태도를 가질 수 있도록 돕는 매우 중요한 요건이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 해외지원사업을 담당하는 실무자의 다문화 감수성에 대해 조사하거나 다문화 감수성을 촉진시키는 주요 요인에 대해 분석한 연구는 매우 부족하다. 본 연구는 급속하게 확대되고 있는 사회복지분야의 해외지원사업과 관련하여 실무자의 다문화 감수성 증진에 기여하는 주요 요인들을 파악하고 이를 강화할 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 사회복지 관련기관에서 해외지원사업을 담당하고 있는 실무자들의 다문화 감수성(하위영역: 초인지적·인지적·동기부여적·행위적 다문화 감수성)을 조사하고 그들의 다문화 감수성에 영향을 주는 주요 요인들을 분석하였으며, 다문화 감수성을 개발하고 향상하는 방안에 대한 제언을 제공하였다. International social welfare is expanding its activities rapidly across cultural boarders within the context of globalization and global interdependence. Although the importance of culturally appropriate practices and programs that suit local circumstances are strongly emphasized, there is a lack of study that examined the issues of cultural sensitivity among service providers or ways to increase cultural knowledge and skills of service providers. The focus of this study is to examine the levels of cultural sensitivity of service providers in the field, and identify key factors that are effective in enhancing levels of cultural sensitivity. This study aims to provide suggestions and practice implications for service providers in order to help them reinforce their understandings of diverse cultures and generate willingness to learn and deal with difficulties in culturally diverse settings.

미국 도심과 농촌지역의 AIDS 위험성과 AIDS 관련정보 접근용이성 비교

본 연구에서는 대도시통계지역(MSA)의 분류에 따라 미국의 도심지역과 농촌지역을 구분하여 비교하였으며, 지역에 따라 AIDS 위험성과 AIDS 관련정보 접근용이성(accessibility)이 어떻게 변화되는지 살펴 보았다. 연구를 위해 미국 전국 보건인터뷰 설문자료(1995)의 16,848 사례를 판별분석(discriminant analysis) 하였다. 연구결과를 통해 농촌지역이 도심지역보다 AIDS 관련 정보를 접근하는데 매우 큰 어려움이 있다는 사실을 알 수 있었으며, 그 결과 농촌지역은 AIDS 감염 위험성에 크게 노출되어 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, 도심지역뿐만 아니라 농촌 지역도 AIDS 예방과 개입을 위한 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 하기 위한 AIDS 정책 방향의 필요성에 대해 논하였다. The purpose of this paper is to compare the urban and rural areas in the United States to examine the geographical differences in terms of the AIDS risk and the accessibility to AIDS-related information. This study was a second-data analysis study analyzing the 1995 National Health Interview Survey (AIDS Knowledge and Attitudes Supplement) with 16,848 cases. Results from discriminant analysis showed that AIDS risks differed according to MSA size. Rural areas had higher potential AIDS risk compared to urban areas due to the inaccessibility to AIDS-related information. Finally, this study has made a suggestion for a particular AIDS policy, the Ryan White Act, to adjust its funding distribution from benefiting mainly the urban to benefit both the urban and rural areas.

청소년 업무 실무자와 다문화가정 청소년을 위한 문화간 훈련방안에 대한 모색

한국사회가 다문화사회로 이행되어가는 상황 속에서 문화적 다양성에 대한 존중과 수용이 크게 강조되고 있다. 다문화적 상황에서 문화적으로 적절한 태도와 행동을 실천할 수 있도록 교육하는 주요도구로서 문화간 훈련이 있다. 과거 문화간 훈련은 다문화교육만을 중심으로 시행되는 것이 일반적이었으나, 최근 다문화교육과 세계시민교육을 통합적으로 적용하는 것이 필요하다는 인식이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 다문화교육과 세계시민교육의 요소를 통합하여 청소년 업무 실무자 대상과 다문화가정 청소년 대상의 문화간 훈련방안에 대한 탐색적 논의를 제공하는 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Berry(1997)의 문화적응이론(acculturation strategy)을 바탕으로 제시된 네 가지 문화적응 유형(통합, 동화, 격리?분리, 주변화)의 특성을 살펴보고, 문화적응 유형에 맞는 문화간 훈련방안(다문화 교육과 세계시민교육의 접목)을 개발하기 위한 기반을 마련하였다. 또한 문화적으로 보다 적절한 문화간 훈련방안을 모색하기 위해 청소년 업무 실무자 대상의 훈련방안과 다문화가정 청소년 대상의 훈련방안을 각각 4개의 문화적응 유형별로 나누어 논의하였으며, 이를 통해 문화간 훈련 프로그램의 방안을 제시하였다. Respecting and embracing cultural diversity have become a major emphasis in Korean society as it transitions to an increasingly multicultural society. Intercultural training programs have been utilized as an important tool for individuals to learn culturally appropriate attitudes and behaviors. In the past, intercultural training programs have largely depended on multicultural education methodologies but recently, there is a growing need for the integration of multicultural education and global citizenship education methods. The aim of this study is to integrate the elements of multicultural education and global citizenship education, and discuss intercultural training methods as they may apply to both adolescent service providers and multicultural adolescents. This study describes the characteristics of 4 acculturation strategies(integration, assimilation, separation, marginalization) as presented by Berry(1997). The purpose and contents of both multicultural education and global citizenship education are presented and discussed. Further, this study provides suggestions for intercultural training programs that target adolescent service providers and multicultural adolescents; it also discusses the ways in which intercultural training may be tailored to each of the 4 types of acculturation strategies in order to provide an intercultural training program that is more culturally appropriate.

Objectives : In this study, we demonstrated the antioxidant activities and the inhibitory effect on oxidative DNA damage of ethyl acetate fractions extracted from Sophorae Flos and Sophorae fructus. Methods : Sophorae Flos and Sophorae fructus were extracted with methanol(MeOH) and divided to Petroleum ether, Ethyl acetate(EtOAC) and Water fraction. The antioxidant activities were conducted by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl(DPPH) radical, 2, 2``-Azine-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6 sulfonic acid) diammonium salt(ABTS) radical scavenging assay, Fe2+ chelating assay and Reducing power assay. The inhibitory effect of DNA damage were characterized on φX-174 RF I plasmid DNA cleavage assay. In addition, we analyzed the Total phenol contents and the Vitamin C contents of Sophorae Flos and Sophorae fructus. Results : The results of DPPH were 92.71% and 94.72%, ABTS were 87.16% and 62.44%, and Fe2+ chelating were 95.81% and 85.11% at 200㎍/㎖of Sophorae Flos and Sophorae fructus respectively. The Sophorae Flos showed stronger effect than Sophorae fructus in Reducing Power assay. Total phenol content was 111.77 ㎎/g and 122.54 ㎎/g, and Vitamin C content was 2.59 ㎎/g and 3.03 ㎎/g. Also both Sophorae Flos and Sophorae fructus have inhibitory antioxidant effect on φX-174 RF I plasmid DNA cleavage assay. Conclusions : Over all, this study suggests that Sophorae Flos and Sophorae fructus can be used as not only effective antioxidant but also natural medicine.

반응표면법을 이용한 자동차 기어용 선형 보이스코일 전동기의 최적설계

본 논문은 자동차의 오토 기어를 능동적으로 제어하기 위해 전 자기 력 을 이용한 원통형 선형 보이스 코일 전동기의 최적설계에 대하여 연 구 하 였 다 . 기존 유압식 장치를 전자식으로 대체하기 위한 것으로 기존 제품에 대하여 추력은 변하지 않으면서 중량을 최소로 하기 위해 연구를 하 였 다 . 본논문에서는 보일스코일 전동기의 설계 변수에 대해 추력을 최대로 하면서 중량을 최소화하기 위하여 반 응표면법을 이용하여 최 적 화 하 였 다 . 최적설계를 통하여 추 력 은 초 기 모 델 과 비 슷 한상 태 에 서 중 량 이 약 15 % 감 소 한 결 과 를 얻 을 수 있 었 다 . The voice coil motor(VCM) has been studied in order to control the automobile more actively. In this paper, an optimum design of a voice coil motor was studied to reduce the weight using response surface method and fin ite element method. The optimum design showed that the weight of a voice coil motor was reduced 15% compared with the in itia l model.
