연역 객체 지향 데이터베이스에서의 지식에 기반한 질의 처리기

본 논문에서는 연역 객체 지향 데이터베이스 (Deductive and Object-oriented Database)에서의 질의 처리를 신속하게 하기 위한 방법에 대해 알아본다. 주어진 연역 객체 지향 데이터베이스를 Connection Graph로 바꾸고 Connection Graph Resolution을 이용하여 어떻게 질의에 답할 수 있는지를 기술한 다음 데이터베이스 내의 계층 지식을 이용하여 효율적이면서도 같은 답을 주는 질의로 바꾸는 방법을 제시하고 이 방법이 효율적이며 논리적으로 타당하다는 점을 증명한다.

인공 물품과 결합하는 인간으로서 포스트휴먼

가까운 미래에 인류는 반드시 몸과 마음의 거대한 일대 변혁을 마주하게 될 것이다. 인류는 인공 물품과 결합함으로써 마침내 유한한 몸의 굴레에서 탈출하게 된다. 이와 같은 존재를 ‘포스트휴먼’(posthuman)이라 부를 수 있는데, 포스트휴먼은 결코 피할 수 없을 것으로 여겨졌던 죽음의 파멸을 완전히 극복한 존재이다. 포스트휴먼이 죽음을 극복할 수 있는 이유는 ‘인공 물품’(artificial materials)으로 만들어진 불멸하는 신체와 전기력을 통해 유지·구성되는 마음 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 이처럼 전기력과 인공 물품을 통해 새롭게 구성되는 포스트휴먼의 신체와 마음을 연구한다. 단편적으로만 본다면 포스트휴먼은 인간과 완전히 다른 존재처럼 여겨질 수 있지만, 포스트휴먼의 신체와 마음이 인간에게서 기원했다는 사실은 부정할 수 없다. 그렇기에 인간의 불가해한 감정과 사랑 등의 마음은 포스트휴먼이 된다 하더라도 결코 사라지지 않을 것이다. 이와 같은 내 연구를 더욱 분명하게 보여주기 위해, 본고에서는 최신의 포스트휴먼 이론들을 정리하고 월리 피스터(Wally Pfister)의 《트랜센던스》(Transcendence)에서 묘사하는 궁극의 포스트휴먼 윌 캐스터의 사례를 연구할 것이다. In the near future, human beings will be required to face an enormous upheaval in their bodies and minds. They will finally escape from their mortal bodies and be combined with artificial materials. This being is known as the posthuman, who can be totally exempted from human beings’ inevitable destiny of death. This is because posthumans will have incorruptible bodies and their mind can be made of artificial materials because the mind must consist of electronic forces. In this paper, I would like to research why a posthuman’s mind must be an electronic force and why its body must be made of artificial materials. It seems like posthumans are beings that can be differentiated from human beings. However, I also argue that even though posthumans escape from human beings’ original bodies and mind, we cannot throw away human beings’ incomprehensible emotions and love. To clarify my argument, I will research contemporary theories of posthumans and analyze Wally Pfister’s Transcendence, which describes the ultimate posthuman, Will Caster.

본 논문에서는 설계 사양과 그에 따른 데이터 모델로 구성된 과거의 사례를 이용하여 새로운 설계 사양에 맞는 데이터 모델을 만들어내는 사례 기반 데이터 웨어하우스 설계 방법에 대해 알아본다. 효율적인 데이터 웨어하우스 구축을 위해 사례 기반 추론을 이용하여 사용자 요구에 맞는 전역적인 개념 스키마로 통합하기 위한 데이터 웨어하우스 설계 사례 표현 방법과 사례 베이스의 구조에 대해 알아보고, 과거의 설계 사례 중 적절한 사례를 추출 하는 방법과 추출한 과거 사례의 해결책을 현재 사례의 사양에 맞게 적응하는 기법을 제시한다.

창발과 임계현상의 복잡적응계로서 닐 버거의 《리미트리스》

The two chief aims of my paper are to introduce the genealogy of complex system theory and analyse Neil Burger’s Limitless with the theory. From the early 20th century, complex system theory has been developed as several different names such as cybernetics theory, catastrophe theory and chaos theory. In the present, complex system theory covers those three theories, and then it is used in various academic field as an analytic frame. This paper is to introduce the usage of the theory for humanities field where hardly uses it due to the weakness in mathematics and science by analyzing Burger’s Limitless. For an effective analysis with the complex system theory, researchers have to find out the fractals of characters and the system, emergence and critical phenomenon in their own texts. This paper is to perform those works and focuses on dramatic changes in Burger’s Limitless, and also I will produce several meaningful and practical analysis for preparing near future society, so called posthuman era. In the future society, we will face various situations in which exceed our biological and intellectual limits with extraordinary medicines and machines, so we need to prepare whole new way of life.

『세일즈맨의 죽음』과 『가족』에 예견된 신자유주의의 정체성과 병폐

The chief purpose of my writing is to prove that the identities and evils of neo-liberalism are represented in Death of a Salesman and A Family. Even though these two texts are written in revised capitalism era, they represent neo-liberalism characteristics. In order to study this distinguished phenomenon, I firstly would like to investigate the history and improvement of capitalism, in particular, the two types of capitalism. By doing these process, the particular identities and evils of neo-liberal capitalism will be unveiled. Secondly, I would like to study specific characters of Death of a Salesman and A Family and prove the neo-liberal characteristics from the two texts. The families of those two texts very seemingly represent the distinguishable identities and evils of neo-liberal capitalism society, so I would study what are the causes and effects are represented in the texts. In conclusion, I would suggest possible solutions to be considerable which would find the future path for a better capitalism than neo-liberal one.

신자유주의적 자본주의 시대에 표류하는 동ㆍ서양의 개인

In this century, the power of capital defeats everything, and it makes human nature get more inhumane and cold-blooded. Paul Verhaeghe who is the author of Identiteit affirms that new types of identities appear due to the inhuman capitalism of this neo-liberalism era. What I would like to do is to study individuals in this neo-liberal capitalism era with two different film and play which are Castaway on the Moon and K. Each text shows two different views of individuals which are Eastern one and Western, so I can study with a comparative view of different cultural sides. Hae-jun Lee’s Castaway on the Moon describes a survival story of a man with no name in order to satire inhuman and miserable sides of capitalism in this 21th century. David Pledger’s K also shows the similar sides of dirty capitalism with a man called K who resists the coercive hierarchy. Individuals in both texts are getting destroyed when the stories go on, but I could find out how to overcome the corrupt neo-liberal capitalism in the texts. Lee’s Castaway on the Moon shows a way of reconciliation between highest and lowest people with so-called karma capitalism. It emphasizes social unification with understanding of each other and public wealth. Pledger’ K shows K’s resistance spirit with parrhesia which Michel Foucault said in his last lecture, and it means courage to tell a truth. I strongly insist that the corrupt neo-liberal capitalism can be cured when people adhere to the spirit of karma capitalism and parrhesia.

트랜스미디어 전략과 기법을 활용한 캐릭터와 내러티브 확장 연구

The main goal of this paper is to clarify what transmedia is, and to find out the three major strategies and several important techniques of transmedia. Transmedia is the trendiest tendency in industrial and academic field of media which faces such a huge paradigm shifting. Transmedia highly allows to expand characters who have not been protagonists, and to change narratives which are not spoken in original texts. Transmedia itself is very creative and prospective, so it is now changing the whole paradigms and customs of industrial and academic media field. It also gives permissions to change the formats of media into the other formats such as novels into films or films into games, etc. In this paper, I choose two video texts that are Gotham of Fox and Todd Philips’ Joker in order to reveal effects of transmedia strategies and techniques. These two texts show how insignificant characters can escalate their roles as much as protagonists. And Philips’ Joker, in particular, shows the very transmedia efficacy which is related with audiovisual effects that have never happened text books.

들뢰즈의 거짓의 역량을 통해 본 아쿠타가와 류노스케의 『덤불 속』과 구로자와 아키라의 «라쇼몽»

Akutagawa Ryunosuke, who is one of the most admirable novelists in Japan, has made a significant legacy in the 20th century with his novels. Rashomon and Yabunonaka are particularly the most delightful works that depict a chaotic situation in which the truth and the false endlessly fight against. His works influence to many artists, and Kurosawa Akira’s film Rashomon is too one of them. Akira combines Ryunosuke’s two short stories which are Rashomon and Yabunonaka into a single film, and it is greatly succeeded in representing Ryunosuke’s quintessential thought. What Ryunosuke wants to describe in the works is numerous possibilities on a single event, so I would like to study his works with Gilles Delueze’s theory which is ‘puissance du faux; force of falsehood.’ The term ‘puissance du faux’ is appeared in Delueze’s Cinema II. By his opinion, a single event must have numerous possibilities which can be chosen as a truth because we only extract an analyzed truth from the fact of the event. Although Delueze is one of the world famous philosophers, the theory ‘puissance du faux’ is not used in the field of film or literature critique. I believe that the theory must be suitable and effective to analyze Ryunosuke and Akira’s works because their novel and film are filled with veiled element which can be chosen as a truth anytime and vice-versa. Ryunosuke and Akira’s works have not yet been studied with this theory, so this work would widen the possibilities to analyze their works. I would like to research the power relationships of truth and false in the characters of their works, and by comparing with other texts in order to figure out what Delueze wants to show the theory. I hope that this study would be a good opportunity for making a new connection between Deleuze’s philosophy and Japanese works particularly in film and literature.
