A study on the static type simulator will include an instructor"s station, two cabs for ISA with visual and sound system, and realistic and accurate model of the trains operation. The simulator is easy to extend and maintenance using structured the S/W. The training of new drives requires that the environment of the cab, controls placement, etc. must highly realistic so that driver can readily transfer his training experience to the real world. The simulator detailed software model and extensive scenario design capability allows both for a wide variety of scenarios and accurately modeled response covering most aspects of brakes, rules, and faults.

A study on the static type train simulator will include the training of new drives requires that the environment of the cab, controls placement, etc. must highly realistic so that driver can readily transfer his training experience to the real world. The simulator computer sends video disc speed commandd to a Video PC processor. A video switcher select the output of the on-line player. This selection is done with loss of vertical synchronization, meaning the picture will not noticeable roll or jump as the simulation mover from disc to disc. The video image quality remain constant through the simulated speed range from zero to 100㎞/h. Flicker is avoided in the scene by the use of a TBC(Time Base Corrector) which causes the display of one video field at a time. Thus, no interfield jitter is present when the scene is stopped.

For safety reason ATS(Automatic Train Stop) system is being used, which is a kind of communication system with a feedback amplifier and a transformer on the train and wayside coils. The coils are highly resonant LC circuits, also have very high Q(Quality) factors. The Q factors of wayside ATS coils are to be maintained high enough for the amplifier to operate reliably. In this paper a novel Q measurement system is proposed. The system measures the resonant frequency and the bandwidth of the ATS coils, by controlling the phase difference between the transformer and the coil using digital PLL(Phase Locked Loop). The overall configuration and algorithms of the proposed system and the digital PLL control schemes are presented in details. The experimental waveforms are shown to verify the system performances.

Train wheels tend to wear abrasion due to frequent startings and brakings. They are important factors of train safety and noise. However, it is difficult and inaccurate to measure their shape and profile manually. Profile measurement system of train wheel with image processing is proposed. The system consists of CCD cameras, PCI image grabber board, and PC operated on Windows"95. Image processing algorithms such as filtering, histogram equalization, and edge detection are presented, and some processing results are illustrated.

Pentagraphs are used to supply electric power to train via trolley lines. The higher train speed is, the higher voltage and current levels are. Since electric power is supplied with slinding contact, localized abrasion is inevitable. It is difficult and dangerous to measure their shape manually. Measurement system of pentagraph slider with ultrasonic processing has been reported. In this paper, measurement system with image processing is proposed. The system consists of CCD cameras, image grabber board, and PC operated on Windows"95. Image processing algorithms are presented and some results are illustrated.

The computerization works and environment have been changed from simple transaction and data process request to system connection request, from data computerization to application work automation and process computerization through IT development and Internet spread. Recently, BPM(Business Process Management) concept has been widely propagated. It is expanding interest of business subject. Korea Railroad is operating train operation management system through 5 regional headquarters and organizations under the influence of each regional headquarter. But integrated operation and management of communication each department, work flow management and resources of depot equipment and materials have to need a lot of effort and time in huge organization as Korea Railroad. Therefore, this article realized Web Based BPM Group Ware. This article will define Korea Railroad organization and business process in using this Group Ware. And it will introduce Korea Railroad computer manage system of this Group Ware and efficient Korea Railroad Business Process through modeling and operating department work and resources management in Korea Railroad.

This document analyzed against the feature and a reaction method of ATS system of existing. It investigated the continuous transmission method which used the reaction method which used a regular oscillation frequency and a frequency synthesis objection and simulation, it led and application possibility in basic system of fact it confirmed. It advanced the test of the multi method which included the external error signal of option and the ATS system of existing result which it gsts it is complemented and transferred / the application confirmed is possible.

Since the release of safety standard IEC 61508 which defines functional safety of electronic safety-related systems, SIL(Safety Integrity Level) certification for railway systems has gained lots of attention lately. In this paper, we propose a new design technique of the computer board for train control systems with high reliability and safety. The board is designed with TMR(Triple Modular Redundancy) using a certified SIL3 Texas Instrument(TI)’s TMS570 MCU(Micro-Controller Unit) to guarantee safety and reliability. TMR for the control device is implemented on FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) which integrates a comparator, a CAN(Controller Area Network) communication module, built-in self-error checking, error discriminant function to improve the reliability of the board. Even if a malfunction of a processing module occurs, the safety control function based on the proposed technique lets the system operate properly by detecting and masking the malfunction. An RTOS (Real Time Operation System) called FreeRTOS is ported on the board so that reliable and stable operation and convenient software development can be provided.
