This study carried out in order to investigate the most basic elements of suitability selection methods for composition of artificial reef. Acquired data by in-situ measurements and satellite remote sensing analysed in applying GIS. To identify the characteristic of marine environment around the West Sea, the South Sea and the East Sea of Korea, physical conditions-seabed sediment and depth, biological conditions-chlorophyll-${\alpha}$, chemical conditions-Sea Surface Temperature(SST) and DO were used. Suitable sites for artificial reef are selected Taean Peninsula, Geoje, Wando, Pohang, Seocheon, etc. From now on, it will be helpful to effectively utilize artificial reef as well as construct synthetic database. It is also expected to use basic data for artificial reef facilities management. 본 논문는 인공어초 조성의 가장 기본적인 요소인 적지선정을 위한 방법에 대해 고찰하였다. 현장관측과 위성 원격탐사(Remote Sensing, RS)로 획득한 자료를 지리정보시스템(Geographic Information System, GIS)을 활용하여 분석하였다. 한반도 주변해역의 해양환경 특성을 파악하기 위해 물리적 조건-해저저질, 수심, 생물적 조건-클로로필-${\alpha}$, 화학적 조건-해수온, DO를 활용하였다. 인공어초 적지로는 태안반도, 거제, 완도, 포항, 서천 등이 나타났다. 향후 본 연구는 인공어초 설치의 효율적인 활용뿐만 아니라 종합적인 데이터베이스의 구축에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 또한 인공어초 시설관리의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Aspirated and ingested foreign bodies continue to present challenges to otolaryngologists. The major discussions were the accurate diagnosis and speedy, safe removal of foreign body. Many diagnostic tools have been tried and removal of foreign bodies has been facilitated by technical improvements with rod lens telescope, video endoscope, flexible fiberoendoscope and safer anesthesia. In spite of these advances, more than 3000 children's death occur per year in the world because of foreign bodies and untold number of parients survive with variable sequelae. In these study, 59 consecutive cases of children and adults with tracheobronchial foreign bodies were reviewed from 1992 to 2001. We studied the history, symptoms, ausculatory radiologic, bronchoscopic finding and post operative complications. 71% (42 cases in 59 cases) of patients had foreign body aspiration history or choking crisis. In 64% (38cases) cough was observed. 81% (48cases) had abnormal finding in chest auscultation and 78% in chest X-ray. Computed tomography was done in 12 cases, all were founded foreign body shadow. Main site of foreign body was right main bronchus (41%, 24cases) and most frequent foreign body was peanut (36% , 21cases) . 4 experienced ICU(intensive care unit) care. 2 cases were failed to remove foreign. In these cases 1 cases was improved by steroid therapy and physical therapy and the other was treated with thoracotomy. We concluded the morbidity and motality were much correlated with speedy decision making and experienced skill of operator.
운전자 부주의 상태 감지를 위한 이종 센서 퓨전 방법에 관한 연구

Driver status monitoring systems are being applied to vehicles to reduce traffic accidents caused by driver drowsiness and carelessness. A camera that recognizes a face (ex. Blinking of the eye), and a radar that uses biometrics (ex. Heart rate and Breath measurement) are examples. However, in the case of face recognition, the interior illuminance in the vehicle and the reflection of the glasses can influence the recognition result greatly. In the case of the biometric signal recognition, the recognition result is different depending on the characteristics of the individual. In addition, there is a disadvantage that the state of the driver judged by the camera may be different from the state of the driver judged by the heartbeat sensing unit. In this paper, we propose the method and the integrated judgement algorithm to recognize the carelessness of the driver more precisely through the sensor output and weight calculation. The output is obtained by fusing the sensed result from each sensor using the integrated sensor which can be used inside and outside of the vehicle. The types of sensors that can be applied can be added or subtracted as occasion demands (ex. the type of vehicle, the accuracy of the system, the cost, etc.) and the cost can be reduced by using the existing sensors (illumination sensor, temperature sensor, etc.).
광학적 pH 센서를 위한 지시염료가 고정된 필름의 광학적 특성 연구

The optical characteristics of cresol red, phenol red, and neutral red immobilized in the thin film were investigated with absorbance measurement in order to find a sensing part of a fiber-optic pH sensor. Sol-Gel method with tetramethyl orthosilicate as a precursor was used to immobilize the pH indicators in the thin film. The absorbance spectra were measured when pH indicators were immobilized in the film and were dissolved in the buffer solution. Experimental results showed that the absorbance spectra could be changed when the pH indicator is immobilized in the thin film. As compared with other pH indicators, the neutral red exhibited similar absorbance spectra regardless of physical conditions and was sensitive over whole pH range between 4 and 11. In addition, the absorbance ratio of base peak to acid peak tended to increase in proportion to the increase in pH. Experimental results indicate that the neutral red is a good pH indicator for fabrication of a sensing part of the fiber-optic pH sensor.

A fire should be accompanied by the heat and smoke. However, smoke is considered main cause of heavy casualties. Smoke easily spreads away from the fire area to remote space and cause mortal wound for the resident. A technical way effectively protecting the life and property from the smoke is the smoke control system of the building. Pressurized air supply system can be considered to prevent the refuge area from the smoke infiltration that evacuate residents via evacuation route for life safety. This paper is related with performance estimation and the effectiveness of the pressurized air supply system through experiments.
고지혈증 흰쥐에 있어서 버섯 분말의 콜레스테롤 저하효과

본 실험에서는 0.5% 콜레스테롤과 0.25% 콜산나트륨을 첨가한 콜레스테롤 식이와 콜레스테롤 식이에 4.0% 수준의 버섯분말(Lentinus edodes, Ganoderma lucidum, Pleurotus ostreatus; 5 : 3 : 2, w/w/w) 첨가 식이를 female Sprague-Dawley 흰쥐에 4주동안 섭취시켜 지질농도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 혈청 콜레스테롤 농도는 버섯분말 첨가 식이군에서 57% 감소하고, 혈청 HDL-콜레스테롤 농도는 230% 증가하여 동맥경화 지수가 68.4% 감소함으로써 버섯분말에 항동맥경화 효과가 있는 것으로 사료되었다. 간장 콜레스테롤농도는 콜레스테롤 식이군에 비해 버섯분말 첨가식에서 24.7% 감소하였으나, 중성지질 농도는 50%의 유의한 증가를 나타내었다. 본 실험의 결과 콜레스테롤 식이에 버섯분말의 첨가에 의해 혈중 콜레스테롤 농도 저하효과와 동시에 항동맥경화 효과가 인정되어 버섯분말을 소재로 새로운 생리활성을 가지는 기능성식품개발의 가능성이 시사되었다. This study was performed to evaluate the effect of mushrooms powder (Lentinus edodes, Ganoderma lucidum, Pleurotus ostreatus; 5 : 3 : 2, w/w/w) of on the lipid concentrations in female Sprague-Dawley rats for 4 weeks. Experimental groups were divided into two dietary groups, the cholesterol diet (Cholesterol group) and the cholesterol diet supplemented mixed mushrooms powder (Mushroom group). The concentration of total cholesterol in serum was significantly decreased by 57.4% in mushroom group compared to cholesterol group. The concentration of HDL-cholesterol was significantly increased by 230% in mushroom group compared to cholesterol group. At the same time, atherogenic index was also significantly decreased by 68.4% in mushroom group compared to cholesterol group. The concentration of triglyceride in liver was significantly increased by 50% in mushroom group compared to cholesterol group. However, the concentrations of triglyceride and phospholipid in serum and cholesterol and phospholipid in liver had no significant difference both groups. This study suggested that mixed mushroom powders exert a cholesterole-lowering effect in hyperlipidemic female rats.
