This study is concerned with an effect of frictional condition in a forward/backward combined extrusion process. Generally, the material flow of the billet is influenced by the corners of the die cavity, the ratio in reduction in area, and thickness ratio of backward can thickness to forward can thickness. In addition, the frictional condition in contact area between the billet and the punch/die also affect the material flow. This paper investigated the effect of frictional condition for variable friction factors. The FEM simulation has been carried out in order to examine the effect of frictional condition. Deformation patterns and flow characteristics were examined in terms of design parameters such as extruded length ratio etc. Die pressure exerted on the die-workpiece interface is calculated by the simulation results and analyzed for safe tooling. Therefore the numerical simulation works provide a combined extrusion process of stable cold forging process planning to avoid the severe damage on the tool.

현재 국내 발전소에서 FGD 설비용으로 사용중인 슬러리 펌프를 국산화 개발하기 위해 일련의 고크롬강을 주조하여 펌프 부품으로 제작하였고 현장의 설비를 이용하여 내구시험을 수행하였다. 내구시험 결과에 의하면 고크롬강 소재의 크롬함량이 높으면 내구성이 증가하였으면 2 wt.% 정도의 Mo 첨가에 의해 내구성이 현저히 증가함을 알 수 있었다. In order to develop highly resistant pump metal components, being used for transporting limestone slurries in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) system in power plants, 3 kinds of high chrome steels were cast into impellers and volute liners, to be tested for their durability using a gypsum discharge pump operated for a FGD system in a Korean power plant. The pump were operated for about 300 - 800 hours at a speed of 2,600 rpm with a slurry at 50℃ which contains about 15-30 wt.% solid particles and the max. content of chlorine ions of 20,000 ppm (pH 3.5-4.5). According to the test results, the components cast with materials of higher chrome content showed higher durability. A drastic increase in the durability was also found for the components cast with materials which contains about 2wt.% Mo.

In the high speed range for Vector control of Synchronous Reluctance Motor, the effect of Iron loss and the cross-coupling of dq axis currents IS dependent on the increase of the operating frequency can not be negligible<br/> In this paper, we propose a decupling Vector control of dq axis current that the effect of iron loss is eliminated, and confirm that through simulation results.

This paper describes a new method for indirect sensing of the rotor position in switched reluctance motors using fuzzy logic algorithm Through a novel fuzzy algorithm, the complete SRM magnetizing characterization IS first constructed, and then used to estimate the rotor position. And also, the optimized phase is selected by phase selector. To demonstrate the promise of this approach, the proposed rotor position estimation algorithm is simulated for variable speed range.

An active power filter is used to eliminate harmonic currents. This paper applied the extension pq theory to harmonic currents compensation. An active power filter based on extension pq theory is more effective than pq theory in 3-phase unsymmetrical voltage system. When extension pq theory is used, the result of simulation present source current is not distorted. Pulse-width modulation method is CRPWM(Current-Regulated PWM).
