The McPherson strut suspension is being applied to many vehicles due to its advantages in application. Strut complete is perform many functions in this type of suspension. So, its reliability should be high to maintain the function steadily over time. However, there are no test specifications to verify strut complete and claims continue to occur. In this study, we wanted to develop an evaluation method of strut complete based on reliability techniques. Failure mechanism was analyzed through FMEA, and failure mode was analyzed based on field claim data. Based on this, the accelerated life test was performed to verify the life data of the strut complete. The convergence of the failure reproducibility was confirmed by comparing the shape parameter obtained through accelerated life test with the shape parameter in the life distribution of the claim data.
