        Purpose: The treatment of thyroid cancer patients was continuously increased. According to the increment of thyroid cancer patients, the establishment of iodine therapy site was also increased in each hospital. This treatment involves the administration of radioactive iodine, which will be given in the form of a capsule. Therefore, protections and managements for radioactive source pollution and radiation exposure should be necessary for radiation safety. Among the many problems, the problem of disposing the radioactive wastes was occurred. In this study, The date for self-disposal for radioactive wastes, which were contaminated in clothes, bedclothes and trash, were calculated. Materials and Methods: The number of iodine therapy ward was 15 in Korea Institute of Radiological Medical and Sciences. Recently, 8 therapy wards were operated for iodine therapy patients and others were on standby for emergency treatment ward of any radiation accidents. Radioactive wastes, which were occurred in therapy ward, were clothes, bedclothes, bath cover for patients washing water and food and drink which was leftover by patients. Each sample was hold into the marinelli beaker (clothes, bedclothes, bath covers) and 90 ml beaker (food, drink, and washing water). The activities of collected samples were measured by HpGe MCA device (Multi Channel Analysis, CANBERRA, USA) Results: The storage period for the each kind of radioactive wastes was calculated by equation of storage periods based on the measurement outcomes. The average storage period was 60 days for the case of clothes, and the maximum storage period was 93 days for patient bottoms. The average storage period and the maximum storage period for the trash were 69 days and 97 days, respectively. The leftover foods and drinks had short storage period (the average storage period was 25 days and maximum storage period was 39 days), compared with other wastes. Conclusion: The proper storage period for disposing the radioactive waste (clothes, bedclothes and bath cover) was 100 days by the regulation on self-disposal of radioactive waste. In addition, the storage period for disposing the liquid radioactive waste was 120 days. The current regulation for radioactive waste self-disposing was not suitable for the circumstances of each radioactive therapy facility. Therefore, it was necessary to reduce the leftover food and drinks by adequate table setting for patients, and improve the process and regulation for disposing the short-half life radioactive wastes.

        A Finite Volume Method for Computations of Two-Dimensional Laminar Flows

        2차원 비압축성, 정상, 층류 Navier-Stokes 방정식을 일반 곡선 좌표계에서 계산하기 위한 유한체적법을 개발하였다. 수치해석은 정규 격자구조를 채택하였으며, 이때 압력의 불안정한 거동은 모멘텀 보간법에 의하여 제거하였다. NACA0012 날개 단면 주위의 유동을 개발된 컴퓨터 프로그램으로 계산한 결과들은 실험 및 다른 계산결과와 잘 일치하였다.

      • 영어 발화와 가사 리듬의 재구조와 리듬보의 활용

        This study has two aim: one is to clarify the restructuring of English in utterance and the other is to make use of text-setting to be applied to getting accustomed to the English rhythm and pronunciation. Clitics prove to play a crucial role on the English restructuring, and are found to be attached to their previous and to their next head or host, thus forming, respectively, an on-cliticized rhythm, trochee and a pro-cliticized rhythm, iambus. En-cliticization proves to be preferred to pro-cliticization in most types of English rhythms. Accordingly, the restructuring turn out to occur all over the levels of the Prosodic Hierarchy. That is, syllables, words and clitic groups are restructured in poetry as well as in song words, which means the necessity of restructuring throughout the levels of the Prosodic Hierarchy from the syllable to the utterance. The present study suggests a good use of a rhythmic textsetting for learners of English to get accustomed to the stress-timed rhythm as well as to such changes in pronunciation as reductions, deletions, resolutions, contractions, and rhythms in English.

        SI process is one of the most advanced thermochemical water splitting cycles enabling mass production of hydrogen without emitting carbon dioxide when coupled to nuclear heat energy. The highest temperature (close to $1000^{\circ}C$) required in SI process is well matched with the outlet temperature of a coolant circulating a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor at around $950^{\circ}C$. In Section 3, some heat exchangers are included to recover heats from process flows at high temperature. In this work, we designed a heat exchanger based on the $1Nm^3/hr$ $H_2$ production capacity using commercial tools for chemical process design.

        포스트 코로나와 반도체 산업 : 코로나19로 촉발된 반도체 밸류체인 분리 위험과 한국 반도체 산업의 대응전략

        세계보건기구(WHO)는 홍콩독감과 신종플루 이후 역사상 세 번째 팬데믹을 선언했다. 코로나19의 발생으로 국가 간 교류는 극도로 위축되는 한편 빠른 전염성으로 국가별 경기변동의 시간차를 만들어 냈다. 2020년 1월 미·중 무역 분쟁은 합의국면으로 접어들었으나 코로나19로 발생한 경제 디커플링 현상은 중국이 미국과의 무역균형을 맞추기 어렵게 만들었고 미·중 무역 분쟁 합의 조건을 지키기 어렵게 만들었다. 트럼프 대통령은 코로나19 확산의 책임을 중국에 돌렸고 경기 침체의 원인도 중국의 영업비밀 침해, 불법복제품 등으로 지목하면서 보호주의가 대두되었다. 이에 중국은 거세게 반발하면서 미국과 갈등이 깊어졌다. 미국은 중국 반도체 굴기의 핵심기업인 화웨이와 SMIC에 무역재제를 선언했고 미·중 간 반도체 밸류체인 단절 위험을 예고하고 있다. 반도체 산업의 밸류체인 분리는 특정 국가와 기업이 가치사슬에 고도로 전문화되어 독점하는 구조인 반도체 산업에 큰 충격을 줄 가능성이 있다. 본 논문은 코로나19로 인해 재점화된 미·중 간 반도체 밸류체인 단절 위험과 반도체 글로벌 산업 가치사슬의 충격과 변화, 한국 반도체 기업의 대응전략을 다루고자 한다. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the third pandemic in history after the Hong Kong flu and swine flu. The outbreak of Corona 19 dramatically reduced exchanges between countries, while rapid contagion created a time gap in economic fluctuations by country. In January 2020, the trade dispute between the US and China entered into a consensus phase, but the economic decoupling phenomenon caused by Corona 19 made it difficult for China to balance trade with the US and made it difficult to comply with the terms of the trade dispute agreement between the US and China. President Trump attributed the responsibility for the spread of Corona 19 to China, and pointed out that the cause of the economic downturn was the infringement of Chinese trade secrets and illegal copies, and protectionism arose. As a result, China protested fiercely, and the conflict with the United States deepened. The US has declared trade sanctions on Huawei and SMIC, which are key companies in China's semiconductor industry, and is predicting the risk of a disconnection of the semiconductor value chain between the US and China. The separation of the value chain of the semiconductor industry has the potential to have a big impact on the semiconductor industry, a structure that is highly specialized and monopolized by certain countries and companies in the value chain. This paper aims to deal with the risk of disconnection in the semiconductor value chain between the US and China reignited by Corona 19, the impact and change of the global semiconductor industry value chain, and the response strategies of Korean semiconductor companies.

        고농도 유류와 중금속으로 복합 오염된 토양에서 식물성장에 미치는 부식산의 영향

        Germination tests were conducted to determine the practical concentration levels at which plants can reproduce naturally during the phytoremediation of soils contaminated with a high concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons and heavy metals. The effects of humic acids on plant growth and soil physicochemical properties were also investigated. The results show that phytoremediation can be applied in soils contaminated by multiple contaminants at the former soil contamination potential level of Korean soil quality standards considering successful natural reproduction. It was observed that germination rates of Helianthus annuus and Festuca arundinacea were high after all treatments, and transplantation was more appropriate for Phragmites communis in phytoremediation. Humic acids had a positive effect on the growth of both aboveground and belowground biomass of herbaceous plants. Growth inhibition by multiple contaminants is more severe in the case of aboveground biomass. Germination and growth tests suggest that Helianthus annuus is a suitable phytoremediation plant for soils contaminated with a high concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons and heavy metals. The addition of humic acids also caused changes in the physicochemical properties of contaminated soils. An increase in the carbon and nitrogen content due to the addition of humic acids and a correlation between cation exchange capacity(CEC) and the organic matter content were observed.

      • 핵주기 공정에서의 이온성 액체 활용 기술 개요

        The ionic liquids are known to potential alternative solvents capable of replacing the commercial solvents in various processes including those in nuclear fuel cycle. As to the material, a number of studies have already reviewed the interesting results and addressed the spectroscopic as well as electrochemical behaviors of metal elements included in spent nuclear fuels. It has found that the important properties of metal ions in TBP dissolved ILs have led the development of alternative technologies to traditional solvent extraction processes. On the other hand, the electrochemical deposition of metal ions in ILs have been investigated for the application of the solvents to aqueous as well as to non-aqueous processes. In this work, a review on the application of ILs in nuclear fuel cycle is briefly presented to understand the notable researches on ILs focusing on aqueous processes.

        This research, based on the support for the existence of 'Clitic Group', proves the 'Clitic Cadence' as the solid evidence to the point that music underlies poetic rhythm in the words or poetic lines which, in turn, underly speech rhythm. Through the relation of stress-beat and clitic cadence to musical schema, such as measure, motive and period, the study clarifes the figurations of cliticization, sometimes procliticized and sometimes encliticized, even if the former appears more often than the latter. Above all, this research puts emphasis on the separate position of clitics not criticized but positioned in strong positions in music, Finally, it suggests some use of clitics to teachers and learners of English for stress-beating for rhythmization of English.
