Good’s syndrome is an acquired immunodeficiency state associated with thymoma. It is characterized by recurrent infection, autoimmune disease, and immunologic abnormality. The insufficient immunity can be managed by intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) replacement therapy. We describe 2 patients who presented with Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia and Cytomegalovirus pneumonia after thymectomy for a thymoma. Immunologic study revealed hypogammaglobulinemia with very low B-cell count, consistent with Good’s syndrome. They were successfully treated with trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole and gancyclovir respectively, and they are all well without additional infections, receiving regular IVIG replacement. The microstructure and soft magnetic properties of as-deposited Fe-Hf-O thin film alloys, which are produced at P_(O2) = 10 % by rf magnetron sputtering method in Ar + O₂ mixed gas atmosphere, is investigated. Newly developed Fe_(82)Hf_(3.4)O_(14.6) film exhibits good soft magnetic properties with 4πMs =17.7 kG, Hc=0.7 Oe and μ_(eff) (0.5~100 ㎒) =2,500, respectively, The Fe-Hf-O films are composed of α-Fe nanograins and amorphous phase with larger amounts of Hf and O elements which chemically combine each other. With increasing Hf area fraction, Hf and O contents increased proportionally, It was considered that O content in films was determined by Hf contents, because O was chemically combined with Hf, It results from decreasing the α-Fe grain size by precipitates (Hf and O), high electrical resistivity. The Fe_(82)Hf_(3.4)O_(14.6) film exhibits the quality factor (Q = μ' / μ) of 25 at 20 ㎒, These good frequency characteristics are considered to be superior to other films already reported.
플래쉬 어닐링한 극박형 철계 초미계 결정 합금의 자기적 특성

In an effort to obtain soft magnetic materials with excellent high-frequency characteristics, effects of flash annealing on magnetic properties and microstructure in melt-spun Fe-B-Nb-Cu and Fe-Al-Nb-B-Cu alloy with ultrathin ribbon shape less than 10㎛ thickness were investigated. The Fe-B-Nb-Cu alloy subjected to optimum flash annealing treatment showed higher effective permeability and smaller magnetic core loss at 1 MHz than conventionally annealed alloy. The enhanced magnetic properties of the flash-annealed alloy were attributed to the reduced a-Fe phase grain size to 6㎚ and the lower remanence ratio of about 0.3 comparing to the conventionally annealed alloy with the values of 9㎚ and 0.7, respectively. These showed that the flash annealing technique was effective in improving the high-frequency soft magnetic properties of Fe-B-Nb-Cu nanocrystalline alloy. However, in flash-annealed Fe-Al-Nb-B-Cu alloy, improvement of the magnetic properties was not observec.

Ultrathin Fe_(78)Al₄B_(12)Nb_5Cu_t nanocrystalline ribbon alloys with 8㎛ in thickness were annealed in longitudinal or transverse magnetic field, and then the high-frequency soft magnetic properties were investigated. High remanence ratio(B₁/B_10) of 0.83 was obtained when annealed in longitudinal magnetic field at 450℃. In case of transverse magnetic field annealing, very high effective permeability and excellent magnetic core loss characteristics in ㎒ range were obtained by transeverse magnetic field annealing. Moreover, for the ultrathin ribbon alloy with 5㎛ in thickness annealed in transverse field, much improved soft magnetic properties in the high frequency range were revealed. The effective permeability at 1㎒ and core loss at 1kG and 1㎒ were 9,000, 1.3W/cc, respectively. Thus, the reduction in ribbon thickness was very effective in improving the high-frequency magnetic properties upon transverse magnetic field annealing

The microstructure and magnetic properties were investigated on the crystallization of amorphous Fe_(100-x-y)B_xNb_y (5≤x≤10, 5≤x≤9) alloy ribbons, which were produced by using a single-roll melt-spinning technique. The best magnetic properties were obtained for the alloy Fe_(84)B_9Nb_7 and the magnetic properties achieved are; the effective permeability of 12,000 at 1 ㎑, do coercive force of 10 A/m and the core loss of 90 W/㎏ measured at 100 ㎑, 0.2 T. These good magnetic properties were attributed to the formation of bcc-Fe crystalline phase with about l0㎚ grain diameter. The magnetic properties were reduced abruptly as the constitution deviates from the optimum composition. The rapid deterioration of the magnetic properties are due to the formation of Fe₃B for Fe_(93-x)B_xNb_7 (B≥10 at%) alloys and Fe₂Nb for Fe_(91-x)B_9Nb_y (Nb≥8 at%) ones.

The effects of Cu on the magnetic properties and crystallization behavior of Fe_(84-x)B_9Nb_7Cu_x(x=0.5∼2.0 (at%) alloys, prepared by a single roll melt-spinning method, were investigated. The soft magnetic properties were found to improve significantly by the addition of Cu, which played the role of reducing the grain size from about 10 ㎚ for Cu-free ternary alloys down to 6∼7㎚. Particularly, the effective permeability of 25,000, dc coercive force of 1.83 A/m and the core loss of 60 W/㎏ at 100 ㎑ -0.2 T were obtained for the alloy with Cu = 1 at%.

The magnetic properties of Nd_(15)(Fe_(1-x) Co_x)_(76)B_8Zry systems at low and high temperatures were investigated. When the composition of Co was 7.6 at%, 9.9 at% and 12.9 at% in Nd_(15)(Fe_(1-x) Co_x)_(76)B_8Zry, the decrease of saturation magnetization at low temperature was due to spin reorientation near -150℃. But the result like this did not appear at the composition of 15.2 at% Co. The remanent induction has minimum value at the composition of 12.9 at% Co, but the intrinsic coercivity has maximum value at 15.2 at% Co in Nd_(15)(Fe_(1-x) Co_x)_(76)B_8Zry systems. A temperature coefficient is low when the composition is 15.2 at% Co.
