        초산발효 양파식초의 섭취와 일회성 운동이 고지방식이 흰쥐의 지질과산화 및 항산화 효소 활성에 미치는 영향

        We investigated the effect of acetic acid fermented onion vinegar supplementation and acute swimming exercise on lipid peroxidation and antioxidant enzyme activity of rats fed a high-fat diet. Thirty-two male Sprague-Dawley rats, 6 weeks of age, were randomly divided four groups; high fat diet sedentary group (HS, n=8), high fat diet acute exercise group (HE, n=8), acetic acid fermented onion supplemented sedentary group (AS, n=8), and acetic acid fermented onion supplemented acute exercise group (AE, n=8). The rats in the HS and HE were given a high fat diet and those in the AS and AE were given a 6% acetic fermented onion added to the high fat diet for 4 weeks. In the results, serum TG and TC levels of AE was significantly increased than that of the AS, respectively (p<.05, p<.05). The HDLC level of AE was significantly increased than that of the AS and HE, respectively (p<.05, p<.05), and AS was significantly increased than that of the HS (p<.05). In addition, muscle MDA content of AS and AE was significantly decreased than that of the HS and HE, respectively (p<.01, p<.05). In the result of GPx activity, AS and AE was significantly increased than that of the HS and HE, respectively (p<.01, p<.01), and AE and HE was significantly increased than that of the AS and HE, respectively (p<.01, p<.01). From these result, acetic acid fermented onion vinegar supplementation might play a positive effect on lipid peroxidation and antioxidant enzyme activity by decreasing the muscle MDA content and increasing the muscle GPx activity during acute swimming exercise.

        편축음료 복용이 지구성 운동수행능력 및 근피로, 혈액성분변화에 미치는 영화

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Polygonum Aviculare L. extract drink on exercise performance, improvement of muscle fatigue and change of blood components. The subjects were 8 healthy young males of 20 years-old and they were given 400㎖ of Polygonum Aviculare L. extract drink(test drink) daily for 2 weeks. They were evaluated body composition, maximal oxygen uptake with progressive loaded exercise test and related blood components at the pre- and post-supplemented the test drink. Blood was obtained at rest, immediately after exercise, 1 hour after exercise, 24 hour after exercise to evaluate hematological factors, respectively. With respect to HRmax, there was significant changes between pre- and post-supplemented the drink of Polygonum Aviculare L. extract. However, the blood lactate concentration were no significant changes between pre- and post-supplemented the tets drink. In the blood hemoglobin concentration and RBC counts, there were no significant changes between pre- and post-supplemented the tets drink. However, hematocrit of pre-exercise and recovery 24 hour of the post-supplemented the test drink was significantly increased compared to the pre-exercise and recovery 24 hour of the pre-supplemented the test drink. In the blood total-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol and CRP concentration, there were no significant changes between pre-and post-supplemented the tets drink. However, triglyceride of immediately after exercise and recovery 1 hour of the post-supplemented the test drink was significantly decreased compared to the immediately after exercise and recovery 1 hour of the pre-supplemented the test drink. From these results, it was suggested that the supplementation of Polygonum Aviculare 1. extract drink have an antiatherosclerotic and aerobic exercise performanc effect although there was no effect on antifatigue.

        해양성 광천수 복용이 고지방식이 흰쥐의 항비만 및 항당뇨 효과에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of brine mineral water supplementation on anti-obesity and anti-diabetic effects. Thirty-two male rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: CS(control diet sedentary group, n=8),, HS(high-fat diet sedentary group, n=8), HM(high fat diet mineral water supplemented group, n=8) and HME(high fat diet mineral water supplemented and exercise group, n=8). The high fat diet was composed of 35% carbohydrate, 20% protein and 35% of fat. AIN-76 was used as the control diet. For exercise groups, the rats swam for 60 min/ day, 5 days/week for 4 weeks. Mineral water supplemented group was administered daily 1ml/kg by oral gavages for 4weeks. The body weight were significantly lower in the HME group than that of the HS group(p=.026). The food efficiency ratio were significantly lower in the CS group than that of the HS group(p=.031) and HM group(p=.023). The perirenal fat and epididymal fat were significantly lower in the CS group than that of the HS group(p=.040), also HME group than that of the HS group(p=.024). The blood glucose were significantly lower in the CS(p=.001), HM(p=.001), HME(p=.001)groups than that of the HS group, respectively. The blood triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol were not significantly different among the groups. The total-cholesterol were significantly higher in the HS(p=.004), HM(p=.003), HME(p=.001)groups than that of the CS group. The blood insulin were significantly lower in the HME group than that of the CS group(p=.001) and HS group(p=.001). The blood leptin were significantly lower in the HME group than that of the HM group(p=.033). The muscle glycogen content were significantly higher in the HME group than that of the HS group(p=.001), also HME group than that of the HM group(p=.008). The muscle CS activity were not significantly different among groups. The HOMA-IR were significantly lower in the HME group than that of the HS group(p=.006), also HME group than that of the CS group(p=.017). From these results, it was suggested that the supplementation of brine mineral water may have an crucial role in anti-obesity and anti-diabetic effects.

        ALA 섭취가 고지방식이 흰쥐의 일회성 운동 스트레스에 따른 장기별 조직손상 보호에 미치는 영향

        This study was to investigated that the effect of a-lipoic acid (ALA) supplementation on protection of the organs damages dependent on exercise-induced stress of rats fed a high fat diet. Thirty-two SD rats, 6 week old, were randomly divided into four groups (HS: high fat diet sedentary group, n=8; HE: high fat diet exercise group, n=8: AS: α-lipoic acid supplemented diet sedentary group, n=8; AE: α-lipoic acid supplemented diet exercise group, n=8, In the exercise group, the rats were performing a single bout of swimming exercise for 120 min (temp: 35±1℃, depth: 50㎝, radius: 25㎝, 3% load/weight). After exercise, the rats killed immediately by withdrawing blood from left ventricle under light diethyl ether anesthesia. In the result of body compositions, changes occurred in final body weight (HS vs AS, HE vs AE: p<.01), FER (HS vs AS, HE vs AE: p<.01), PIT (HS vs AS, HE vs AE: p<.01), and EFT (HS vs AS: p<.05, HE vs AE: p<.01) by ALA supplementation. In the blood components, serum TG level of HE and AE groups were significantly higher than that of the HS and AS groups (p<.01), respectively. In addition, MDA content in the liver and muscle of AS group was significantly lower than that of the HS group (p<.01). In the SOD activity, changes occurred in the kidney (HE vs HS, HS vs AS: p<.01), red gastrocnemius muscle (AE vs HE: p<.01), and white gastrocnemius muscle (AE vs AS, AE vs HE: p<.05), respectively. In the GPx activity, changes occurred in the kidney (HE vs HS: p<.05, AS vs HS, AE vs AS: p<.01), heart (AS vs HS: p<.05), liver (AS vs HS: p<.05, AE vs AS, AE vs HE: p<.01), and white gastrocnemius muscle (AE vs AS, AE vs HE: p<.05), respectively. From these results, ALA supplementation has a protective effect of the organs damage dependent on single bout of exercise-induced stress because ALA supplementation increased GPx activity in the kidney, liver, and heart, in particular, GPx activity was significantly increased after single bout of swimming exercise in the muscle as well.

        쇠비름음료 복용이 젊은 남성의 무산소성 운동수행능력 및 혈중 성분변화에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Portulucaceae extract on exercise performance and change of blood components. The subjects were 8 healthy young males of 20 years-old and they were given 400㎖ of Portulucaceae extract(test drink) daily for 2 weeks. They were evaluated body composition, anaerobic power with Wingate test and related blood components at the pre- and post-supplemented the test drink. Subjects were tested three consecutive Wingate test for 30 seconds involving 2 times of 3 mins of rest time. Blood was obtained at rest, immediately after exercise, 1 hour after exercise, 24 hour after exercise to evaluate hematological factors, respectively. Obtained results were as follows: Peal, power was significantly changed between pre- and post-supplemented Portulucaceae extract in 1st phase of Wingate test. However, mean power, fatigue index and blood lactate concentration were not significantly changed between pre- and post-supplemented the tests drink. In the blood components, HDL-cholesterol of pre-exercise of the post-supplemented the test drink was significantly increased compared to the pre-exercise of the pre-supplemented. In addition, serum LDH concentration of immediately after exercise of the post-supplemented the test drink was significantly increased compared to the pre-exercise of the pre-supplemented. Serum CRP concentration of the post-supplemented the test drink were significantly decreased compared to the pre-supplemented the test drink except for 24 hour of recovery. From these results, it was suggested that the supplementation of Portulucaceae extract have an crucial role for cardiovascular disease and anaerobic exercise performance.

        손바닥선인장 섭취와 수영운동이 고지방식이 흰쥐의 지질과산화 및 SOD단백질 발현에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of 4 weeks of Opuntia Humifusa supplementation and swimming exercise on lipid peroxidation and SOD protein expression of rats fed with high-fat diet. Thirty-two Sprague-Dawley male rats, 6 weeks of age, were randomly divided into 4 groups: high fat diet sedentary group(HS, n=8), high fat diet exercised group(HE, n=8), Opuntia Humifusa supplemented sedentary group(OS, n=8), Opuntia Humifusa supplemented exercised group(OE, n=8). They were given a high fat diet (HS and HE) or supplemented 3% of Opuntia Humihusa(OS and OE) for 4 weeks. The animals in the swim groups swam for 60 min/days, 5 days/wk for 4 weeks in a plastic tube filled with water(temp: 35±1℃, depth 50㎝, radius: 25㎝). In the results, the blood triglyceride were significantly lower in the OS group than that of the HS group(p<.05). Also, blood HDLC were significantly higher in the OE group than that of the OS group and HE group, respectively(p<.05). The MDA levels of muscles were significantly lower in the HE and OS groups than that of the HS group(p<.05). The CU,Zn-SOD protein expression in the red gastrocnemius muscle of the OS group was tended to have higher than the HS group, but no significant difference between the groups. The Mn-SOD protein expression in the red gastrocnemius muscle of the HE and OS groups was significantly increased compared to that of the HS group(p<.05). From these results, it was suggested that Opuntia Humifusa supplementation and swimming exercise had a crucial role in the inhibition of lipid peroxidation and increased SOD protein expression of skeletal muscle in rats fed a high-fat diet.

        양방향 등척성 운동이 근감소 유발 흰쥐의 근회복에 미치는 영향

        This study was investigated to examine the effect of bidirectional isometric exercise on muscle atrophy of rats. 6 weeks-aged rats were randomly divided into 6 groups; control group(CG, n=8), 7 days passive recovery group (PR7, n=8), 7 days active recovery group(AR7, n=8), 14 days passive recovery group(PR14, n=8), 14 days active recovery group(AR14, n=8). All rats were casted left hindlimb for 7days. The rats of acive recovery groups were conducted to bidirectional isometric exercise for 10reps/1set, 10sets for 1week or 2weeks. In the results, soleus muscle weight of AR14 group was significantly increased compared to AR7 group. p-Akt protein expression and p-Akt/Akt of PR14 and AR14 was significantly increased compared to PR7 and AR7 group, respectively. In addition, Atrogin-1 protein expression of AR7 and AR14 was significantly decreased compared to PR7 and PR14 group, respectively. on the contrary to this, p-4EBP pretein expression of AR14 was significantly increased compared to AR7 and p-4EBP1/ 4EBP1 of AR14 was significantly increased compared to AR7 and PR14. From these results, bidirectional isometric exercise ameliorate skeletal muscle atrophy of rats via activation of Akt-mTOR pathway and inactivation of Fbx32 protein expression.
