A grating composed of elliptical cylinders (GEC), specially designed, is applicable to control of radiation heat transfer from a heated surface, as reported in our previous work. In this study, an analysis of radiation heat transfer is performed for a physical model in which the GEC is placed in front of a heated black-base surface and the major axes of the elliptical cylinders are inclined as a certain angle from the normal to the row of elliptical cylinders. Numerical solutions are obtained. Variations of the direction and the radiative energy concentration with slant angle of the major axis are shown for some parameters. It is verified that the GEC is able to widely change the direction of radiation heat transfer from the heated surface.

전통적인 동물 계통수(系統樹)는 초기발생 혈질에 기초하여 몸 구조가 단순한 것에서 복잡한 것으로 동물문(animal phylum)들을 배열하는 것이다. 현재 활발하게 연구 진행되는 분자수준에서의 분자계통 분류학(Molecular Systematics) 연구들이 이런 경향을 재평가하고 새로운 계통과 진화의 의미를 제시하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 한 염기서열로부터 획득할 수 있는 특성 값들을 추출하여 트레이닝 데이터를 생성하고, 생성된 데이터를 기반으로 데이터마이닝 기법중의 하나인 분류기법(classification) 을 사용하여 계통수를 생성하였다. 실험용 데이터는 미토콘드리아 염기서열을 사용하였으며 생물학분야에서 사용하는 분석 프로그램인 MEGA 프로그램을 사용하여 이를 증명하였다. 비록 마이닝을 수행한 결과는 생물학적 실험을 거쳐 정확성을 검증 받아야 하지만 인터넷상에 떠다니는 무수한 유전체들에 대한 유효한 분류기준을 제시할 수 있고 계통수 제작을 위한 실험에 소요되는 많은 시간과 노력들을 줄일 수 있다. The traditional animal phylogenetic tree is to align the body structure of the animal phylums from simple to complex based on the initial development character. Currently, molecular systematics research based on the molecular, it is on the fly, is again estimating prior trend and show the new genealogy and interest of the evolution. In this paper, we generate the training set which is obtained from a DNA sequence ans apply to the classification. We made use of the mitochondrial DNA for the experiment, and then proved the accuracy using the MEGA program which is anaysis program, it is used in the biology field. Although the result of the mining has to proved through biological experiment, it can provede the methodology for the efficient classify and can reduce the time and effort to the experiment.

Background : Vertigo is a very common complaint in clinical practice. The number of patients who complain of vertigo has been increasing due to rapid growth of the elderly population. This study was designed to review the clinical features and success of oriental medical treatment of positional vertigo. Methods : This observation was made on 70 subjects diagnosed with positional vertigo. They were hospitalized in the Semyung University Oriental Medicine Hospital. Results : The results were as follows 1. Female patients (82.9%) were more than male patients. The most common age group was 8th decade and the patients rapidly increased after the 5th decade of age. 2. The most common past history of positional vertigo was hypertension, the second was cerebral infarction, and the third was hyperlipidemia. 3. In the oriental medicine diagnosis, phlegm-dampness syndrome (痰濕交阻 眩暈) was the most common disease (92.9%), and in western medicine, BPPV was the most (82.9%). 4. In herbal medication, Banhabaekchulchunma-tang gami (45.7%) was the most commonly used, the second being Taeksa-tang (30%). 5. The vertigo score of 94.3% patients improved and none got worse. 6. In general characteristics, men over 64 years improved best. Past history had no effect on the improvement of vertigo. 7. The sooner patients visited hospital after onset, the shorter hospitalization time was. Conclusions : Vertigo attacks patients well in advanced age, with various causative diseases. Oriental medical treatments have considerable effects on positional vertigo, especially treated with Banhabaekchulchunma-tang gami and Taeksa-tang.
장기간 한약 복용한 뇌졸중 환자의 간 및 신장 기능 수치 변화에 대한 증례 보고

Objectives: This case report describes a patient who had suffered a stroke and who was treated for a long period with herbal medicine in combination with a Western medicine. Methods: Changes in liver function and renal function laboratory tests were measured while the patient took herbal medicine during the 1190 days of hospitalization. Results: During the hospitalization period, the liver function test (LFT) levels were elevated two fold, but after taking the herbal medicine, the LFT levels were stabilized and have remained stable since. Conclusions: The high risk of prescribing herbal medicine by an unlicensed person and the possibility of long-term herbal medicine usage for stabilizing liver function test were shown.
RAW 264.7 대식세포 내에서 남정목 열매 추출물의 항염증 효과

Objectives This study was designed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of extracts from Ligustrum obtusifolium S. fruits(LOF) in RAW 264.7 Macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide(LPS). Methods We examined productions of nitric oxide(NO), reactive oxygen species(ROS), inducible isoforms of NO synthase(iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of LOF extracts. In addition, we measured generation of pro-inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α, IL-6). Results Cell viability showed that LOF extracts had no cytotoxicity in Raw 264.7 cells. The treatment with LOF extracts significantly decreased the generation of NO and pro-inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α, IL-6) in LPS-stimulated macrophage cells. Furthermore LOF extracts inhibited intracellular ROS generation dose dependently and reduced the expression of iNOS, COX-2 proteins. Conclusions These results showed that the LOF extracts had an anti-inflammatory effect on LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells. These findings provide scientific support for the use of this Ligustrum obtusifolium S. for inflammatory-related diseases.
비만 및 과체중 환자에 대한 사삼추출물의 유효성 및 안전성 평가

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and biosafety of Adenophorae Radix(AR) extract in obesity or overweight patient. Methods: This study is double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled intervention Study. 30 patients with BMI 25≤ and 30> were allotted into two groups at random. In 0, 6th, 12th week, we had checked body weight, waist line, hip line, body fat and abdominal CT scan. In 0, 12th week, we also had checked lipid metabolism and biosafety with blood test. Results: AR treatment had a significant effect on suppressing body wight gain (p<0.01) and BMI index(p<0.01). AR treatment reduced plasma TG level but we couldn`t find statistical significance. AR treatment had produced no adverse reactions. Conclusions: This study shows that Adenophorae Radix(AR) extract can reduce the weight, BMI. Adenophorae Radix(AR) extract can be used in obesity or overweight patient.
