본 연구는 교육인적자원부가 2007년 3월에 한국교육개발원에 수탁한 ‘미술교과 평가방법 개선연구’가 미술교육의 내실화가 아니라 미술교육을 왜곡하고 축소할 소지가 있는지 여부를 알아보기 위한 대응 연구로서 사례 중심의 네 가지 수행평가 도구 모형을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 수행평가도구 모형들은 성취, 평가기준을 분명하게 제시하면서 수업의 목표(학습목표)를 높여나간 사례들이라는 점이 의미로 작용할 것이다. 따라서 교사는 지속적으로 수행평가도구 모형을 개발하고 정교하게 만들어갈 때 미술과의 학습목표가 분명해지고 수업을 발전시켜갈 수 있다. 그러한 점에서 본 연구는 교육인적자원부의 미술과 평가정책 시행이 가져올 미술교육 부실화를 막는 근거를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. The development of the model of assessment tools for the art education which leads breaking with genre can be accomplished by emphasizing the view points of visual esthetics in class activities. As a result, recently developed assessment tools stress the connection of various areas of art activities. They emphasize not only the product but also the process. Furthermore, the standard of assessment and accomplishment become more and more specific and realistic. However, the plan. which has been announced by the Ministry of education, involves several puzzling issues. which may retrograde the specification and reality of assessment. The proposed three level assessments connotes the possibility of the status of art education even worse and weaken further.
