Erythema nodosum is the most common form of septal panniculitis and the most frequent skin manifestation associated with inflammatory bowel disease, affecting up to 15% of Crohn`s disease patients. Since the development of erythema nodosum is closely related with a variety of disorders and condition, it can serve as an important early sign of systemic disease. Here, we present the occurrence of erythema nodosum as an early sign of Cronh`s disease in a 16-year-old woman. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2011;58:103-106)
관찰·추천제에서 교사의 관찰 평가를 돕기 위한 루브릭의 개발

이 연구에서는 관찰•추천 과정에서 과학 영재의 내•외적 속성에 대한 교사의 변별을 도울 수 있는 루브릭을 개발하고, 타당도를 검증하였다. 루브릭을 개발하기 위하여 과학 영재 관련 선행 연구 분석을 실시하였고, 이를 바탕으로 평가 준거를 추출하였다. 그리고 준거 별 수행 정도를 5단계 척도로 구분하여 제시하였다. 과학 영재 교육 전문가 3인으로부터 개발된 루브릭의 안면타당도를 검증받았고, 과학 영재 교육 현장에 예비 적용하여 내용 타당도를 검증받았다. 그 결과, 교사들이 정성적인 과학 영재 관련 특성을 계량적으로 평가하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 총체적•과제 일반적 루브릭을 개발할 수 있었다. 한편, 이 연구에서 개발된 루브릭은 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 이루어졌다. 그러므로 과학 영재에 대한 관찰이나 면담 등을 통해 개발된 루브릭을 수정 및 보완해 나가는 연구가 추후 이루어질 필요가 있다. In this study, we developed a rubric that could help teachers discriminate the internal•external properties of the science-gifted students in the observation and nomination system and verified it's validity. We extracted the evaluation criteria after analyzing the previous studies related to the science-gifted students and suggested the 5-point scale with criteria for rating the level of performance. The face validity of the rubric was verified by the three gifted education experts in science. The content validity was also verified by pre-applying the rubric to the field of the science-gifted education. As a result, we developed the holistic•task general rubric that could help teachers when they evaluate the qualitative science-gifted students' characteristics quantitatively. On the other hand, the literature review was based on developing the rubric. Therefore, the modification and complementation of the rubric should be conducted by observing and interviewing the science-gifted students as the future researches.
역발상적 사고 기법의 가능성 탐색: 대학생들의 아이디어 생성 과정의 특징을 중심으로

창의적 문제 해결 과정의 핵심은 독특하고 다양한 아이디어의 생성이다. 따라서 아이디어의 생성을 어려워하는 학생들에게 이를 도와줄 수 있는 구체적 방안 마련이 요구되며, 이에 역발상적 사고 기법을 고려해 볼 수 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 역발상적 사고 기법을 기반으로 한 아이디어 생성 과정의 특징을 대학생을 대상으로 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 역발상적 사고 기법은 학생들의 관점 전환을 유도하며, 새로운 아이디어의 산출을 도왔다. 이에 학생들의 아이디어 산출을 지원해 주는 사고 틀로서 역발상적 사고 기법의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 역발상적 사고가 좀 더 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 학생들이 산출된 아이디어에 대한 이론적 판단이나 가치 개입, 경험 등으로 인한 편견을 배제할 수 있도록 지도할 필요가 있다. 또한 학생들이 역발상적 아이디어에 대한 다른 사람들의 반대나 비판 등을 감수하면서 새로운 아이디어를 실행시키고자 하는 과제집착력이나 용기 등을 함양할 수 있는 방안 마련도 요구된다. In the creative problem solving processes, the core was to generate unique and various ideas. Thus, an assumption reversal thinking skill needed to be considered as a concrete method that could help students who have difficulties with generating ideas. In this study, we applied the assumption reversal thinking skill to university students and explored the characteristics of the idea generation process. On the basis of the results, we found that the assumption reversal thinking skill helped students generate new ideas, inducing perspective changes. Therefore, we could ascertain the possibilities of the assumption reversal thinking skill as a thinking frame supporting students` idea generation. However, there is a need to develop methods for students to exclude prejudice by theoretical judgment, intervention of the value, and experience for fostering more effective assumption reversal thinking. Also, ways should also be considered so that students would be able to cultivate task commitment and courage of implementing new ideas, bearing criticism from others.
과학과 예술을 융합한 프로그램이 고등학생의 과학에 대한 흥미, 태도, 창의성에 미치는 영향

In this study, we developed a program that combined science and art, and also investigated the effects of the program. The students in the high school focused on science were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group. After instruction, the students`` interest in science, scientific attitude, and scientific creativity were compared by level of the gender and the academic achievement. As a results, the male students showed that the scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group in the ``interest in science``, ``scientific attitude``s sub-elements such as curiosity and creativity``, and ``scientific creativity``. However, there were no significant differences between the experimental group and the control group on the each area in the case of the female students. And we also found that the convergence program had a positive effect on the students who were in the low level of academic achievement.
중학교 과학 교과서에 제시된 철과 황의 혼합물과 화합물 성질 비교 실험의 분석 및 개선

이 연구의 목적은 중학교 과학 교과서에 제시된 ‘철과 황의 혼합물과 화합물 성질 비교 실험'의 문제점을 분석하고 개선책을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 9학년 과학 교과서에 제시된 실험 방법을 분석하고, 교과서에 제시된 실험 방법에 따라 중학교 과학을 담당하고 있는 40명의 현직 교사에게 실험을 수행하게 한 후 문제점을 분석하였다. 자극적인 기체 발생으로 인한 거부감, 자성 비교를 이용한 혼합물과 화합물의 구별 실패 등의 문제점이 개선된 개선 실험과 대안실험을 제시하였다. 제안된 2가지 실험을 10명의 현직 화학 교사와 S중학교 3학년 60명에게 적용한 결과, 제안된 실험은 혼합물과 화합물의 특성 비교에 적합하며 개념 이해에 도움이 된다고 응답하였다. The purposes of this study were to analyze problems in the experiments for comparing properties of a mixture with a compound of iron and sulfur and then to suggest the improved experiments. For this study, the experimental methods in 9th science textbooks described were analyzed and middle school science teachers were asked to conduct the experiment according to the process of the textbook and to point problems of the experiment. Two alternative experiments, which improves the problems of the toxic and provocative experiment and of distinction between a mixture and a compound by magnetic properties, were proposed. The two experiments were applied to the 10 science teachers and 60 students from a “S” middle school. They responded that the experiments were suitable for comparing properties of a mixture and a compound and helpful to understand the concept.
8배위 12면체 Y(tpb)<sub>3</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>2</sub>착물의 합성과 구조

8배위 이트륨(III) 화합물 Y(tpb)3(H2O)2을 합성하였고 X-선 회절법으로 구조를 규명하였다. 이 화합물은 12 면체의 구조를 가지며, 두 면(Y-O2-O1-O5-O6 and Y-O4-O3-O8-O7)사이의 각은 89.59o이다. 또한, O1-O5과 O3-O8 의 거리는 2.965 and 2.995 A이며 O2-O6과 and O4-O7의 거리는 4.256 and 4.403 A이다. The eight coordinated yttrium(III) complex Y(tpb)3(H2O)2 (Htpb=4,4,4-Trifluoro-1-phenyl-1,3-butanedione) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction method. The coordination polyhedron of Y(tpb)3(H2O)2 has a dodecahedron. The angle between two trapezia, Y-O2-O1-O5-O6 and Y-O4-O3-O8-O7, is 89.59°. The O1-O5 and O3-O8 distances are 2.965 and 2.995 A whereas the O2-O6 and O4-O7 distances are 4.256 and 4.403 A.
미성취 영재를 위한 초등 과학 개별화 교수-학습 프로그램의 개발과 적용 사례 연구

The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a differentiated instruction-learning reflecting various characteristics and demands of the gifted underachievers, and thereby help to develop the study attitude and study achievement of the gifted underachievers. To achieve the purpose, a case study on five gifted underachievers who are in 6th grade of elementary school was conducted. By collecting and analyzing a variety of data including standardized tests, interviews with teachers, students, and parents, and observation journals, this researcher examined the characteristics and demands of the gifted underachievers. For the development of the program, differentiated strategies were designed according to students`` interest and concern, their multiple-intelligence, and their learning styles. As a result of the application of them, a program with a total of 20 sections was finally developed. The result of the application for the differentiated instruction-learning program revealed improvements in their academic achievements. In addition, it was found that their learning motives were improved. The program was also found to affect their self-concept and their attitude toward learning. The study showed that developing an education program for the gifted underachievers should begin from the analysis of each student``s characteristics.Also, it was found that a differentiation strategy could become an alternative to apply various characteristics and demands of the gifted underachievers to the development of a program. The gifted underachievers`` intellectual and definitive characteristics were changed even by the short-term mediation. Therefore, the new issue about educating the gifted is to provide a differentiated instruction-learning program fitting their characteristics and demands and help them exert their potential as best as they could.
