        육미지황탕과 녹용약침이 당뇨유발 흰쥐의 골절치유에 미치는 영향

        Objectives :This study was designed to evaluate the effects of Yukmijihwang-tang(Liuweidihuang-tang) and Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu pharmacopuncture on fracture healing in diabetic rats. Methods :In this study, 80 Sprague-Dawley rats were induced by STZ(streptozotocin) which was in general use as diabetes model. After the subjects were induced femur fracture, we divided the subjects into 4 groups : Control group with no treatment, experimental Ⅰ taken with Yukmijihwang-tang(Liuweidihuang-tang), experimental Ⅱ taken with Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu pharmacopuncture and experimental Ⅲ taken with Yukmijihwang-tang(Liuweidihuang-tang) and Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu pharmacopuncture groups. Serum T-ALP(total alkaline phosphatase), histological observation of callus formation, and the degree of TGF-β1(transforming growth factor beta 1) in each group were observed at the 7th, 14th, 21th day and at the 28th day respectively. Results :1. Experimental group Ⅰ and experimental group Ⅲ showed significant changes in serum T-ALP after 7-days of experimental period. All the experimental groups showed significant changes in serum T-ALP after 14-days of experimental period, especially experimental group Ⅲ showed more significant changes than other groups. 2. After 14-days, 21-days and 28-days, all the experimental groups showed significant changes in histological observation of callus formation, compared with control group. Especially experimental group Ⅲ showed more significant changes than other groups. 3. All the experimental groups showed significant changes in TGF-β1 compared with control group. Especially experimental group Ⅲ showed more significant changes than other groups. 4. Injury of liver tissue and kidney tissue in histological findings were not seen after 28-days of experimental period. Conclusions :It is suggested that Yukmijihwang-tang(Liuweidihuang-tang) and Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu pharmacopuncture may play a significant role in fracture healing in diabetic rats, and these two treatments could be more effective when used together.

        마황(麻黃)과 석고(石膏) 혼합물이 지방전구세포 분화와 흰쥐의 비만에 미치는 영향

        Objectives This study was designed to evaluate the effects of Ephedra Sinica and Fibrosum Gypsum extract on obesity by using 3T3-L1 cells and high fat diet rats. Methods In vitro, Ephedra Sinica and Fibrosum Gypsum extract (50, 100, 200, 500 μg/ ml) were added in 3T3-L1 cells. Cytotoxicity was measured by MTT assasy. Adipocyte differentiation was measured by Oil Red O staining, GPDH activity and C/EBPα protein expression. In vivo, Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 5 groups : Normal diet group (Normal group), taken high fat diet and no treatment group (Control group), taken high fat diet and orally administered Ephedra Sinica and Fibrosum Gypsum extract daily (Group I: 50 mg/kg, Group II: 100 mg/kg, Group III : 200 mg/kg, oral). For 6 weeks of administration, body weight and the amount of food intake were measured once a week. After administration, blood analysis (AST, ALT, T-Bilirubin, BUN, RBC, Hb, HCT), serum lipid level (triglyceride, Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL), serum leptin level, epididymal adipose tissue weight and histological finding of liver were estimated. Results In vitro, The cytotoxicity was not significant. 3T3-L1 cell’s differentiation was significantly decreased in Oil Red O staining, GPDH activity and C/EBPα protein expression. In vivo, Body weight and the amount of food intake, AST, ALT, Total cholesterol, TG, LDL, serum leptin, epididymal adipose tissue weight showed significant decrease in group I, group II and group III. There were no significant difference in T-bilirubin, BUN, RBC, Hb and HCT between all groups. HDL showed significant increase in group I, group II and group III. In histological finding of liver tissue, there were decreased adiposity and cytopathic effect in group I, group II and group III. Conclusions It is suggested that Ephedra Sinica and Fibrosum Gypsum extract can be used in the treatment of obesity. (J Korean Med Rehab 2014;24(3):11-27)

        족삼리, 양릉천, 현종과 협척혈이 척수 압좌 손상 모델의 신경 재생에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of ST36, GB34 and GB39, Hyeopcheok points, electrical acupuncture and acupuncture on nerve regeneration and neuromuscular synaptic reorganization in rat model of spinal cord injury(SCI). Methods : The subjects were divided into 5 groups; control group with no treatment after inducing SCI, experimental group Ⅰ taken with acupuncture of Hyeopcheok points after inducing SCI, experimental group Ⅱ taken with acupuncture of ST36, GB34 and GB39 after inducing SCI, experimental group Ⅲ taken with electrical acupuncture of Hyeopcheok points after inducing SCI and experimental group Ⅳ taken with electrical acupuncture of ST36, GB34 and GB39 after inducing SCI. After each operation, the present author observed cytological changes, the motor behavior recovery and nerve regeneration by analysis of the motor behavior tests, histological and immunological changes. Rats were tested at modified Tarlov test at the 1st day, Basso, Beattle, Bresnahan locomotor rating scale(BBB scale) at the 3rd, 7th, 14th and 21 days. Results : 1. Experimental group Ⅳ were improved compared with control group, experimental group Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ in the motor behavior test(BBB scale). 2. BDNF(brain-derived neurotrophin factor) expression degree in the SCI tissue of all the experimenral groups were increased compared with control group. Especially, those of experimental group Ⅳ was more effective. 3. Muscular atrophy in gastrocnemius were restored only in experimental group Ⅳ. 4. NT-3(neurotrophin-3) expression degree in the SCI inducing rats of all the experimenral groups were increased compared with control group. Especially, those of experimental group Ⅳ was more effective. Conclusions : It can be suggested that electrical acupuncture of ST36, GB34 and GB39 may improve motor behavior, histological and immunological findings in SCI-induced rats compared with acupuncture of ST36, GB34 and GB39, acupuncture or electrical acupuncture of Hyeopcheok points.

        교통사고 환자의 어혈변증과 계지복령환(桂枝茯笭丸) 효과의 임상적 연구

        Objectives: The main purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of Kyejibokryong-whan(Guizhifuling-wan) and examine the blood stasis for patients with motor vehicle accident. Methods: Of the patients who have visited Dong-Shin university oriental hospital for general pain due to motor vehicle accident from June 2010 to November 2010, we enrolled 29 patients and performed blood stasis diagnosis. Patients were divided into groups according to blood stasis findings. Patients who had more than twenty blood stasis diagnosis point were classified as blood stasis group. Patients who had under twenty blood stasis diagnosis point were classified as non blood stasis group. We administered Kyejibokryong-whan(Guizhifuling-wan) to all group. The effect was assessed by VAS(visual analogue scale), SF-MPQ(short form-McGill pain questionnaire) ODI(Oswestry disability index) & NDI(neck disability index). Results: The pain & function index decreased in both groups after treatment. Conclusions: The difference between blood stasis group and non blood stasis group were not significant at after treatment stage. This data suggested that the method of classifying blood stasis is useful and the Kyejibokryong-whan(Guizhifuling-wan) can be effective means that decrease pain caused by motor vehicle accident.
