‘마한(馬韓)’ 역사고고학 콘텐츠를 통한 컬포츠(Culports) 활용 연구-보드게임 소재를 중심으로-

본 연구를 통해 ‘마한’에 대한 역사고고학적 콘텐츠를 제시하고 이를 보드게임에 접목시켜 컬포츠 프로그램을 개발하는 과정을 제시하였다. 게임 학습을 근간으로 한 본 프로그램은 구성주의 학습이론의 범주 속에서 진행되기 때문에 참여자의 주도적인 학습과 경험을 통한 역사적 의미를 습득하는 데 매우 적합한 교육 방식이다. 역사고고학 콘텐츠 가운데 ‘마한’이 가진 역사적 특수성을 게임 안에서 시·공간적으로 나타내고자 하였다. 게임의 배경은 문헌에 전해온 소국 연맹체의 모습을 토대로 소국별 차등적 요소 도입, 중심이 되는 나라와 주변 읍락과의 관계 설정, 소도(蘇塗)와 같은 특수목적의 별읍 존재 등으로 구성하고, 구체적인 내용들은 고고자료를 통해 구현시켰다. 그 결과 보드게임은 작은 보드판 속에 한 시대의 역사적 특성을 시각적으로 구현시키는 데 매우 적합한 교구재임을 확인하였다. 활동을 통해 확인된 교육적 효과는 역사와 고고학에 관한 지식 습득은 물론, 인지적 요소와 관련하여 수 개념에 효과가 나타나고, 시·공간에 대한 이해도가 높아진다는 점이다. 이번 연구를 통해 역사고고학 콘텐츠와 보드게임의 접목은 활동무대와 준비과정이 단순하면서도 교육적 효과는 높일 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 앞으로도 마한과 같이 독특한 문화사적 배경을 토대로한 역사고고학 콘텐츠와 다양한 게임적 요소를 결합한 컬포츠 교육프로그램이 개발된다면 대중고고학적 측면에서도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다. This study suggested the way to develop a culports program using a board game with historical and archeological contents about ‘MaHan’ This program, based on game learning promoted by constructivism, provides a very suitable learning tool for acquiring the historical knowledge related to ‘MaHan’ through participants real experience. The board game is very suitable as a device for visualizing the historical characteristics of an era in a small board. From the participants’ perspectives, the activity can help them enlarge the concept of numbers in relation to cognitive factors as well as acquiring knowledge about history and archaeology and also increase the level of understanding the concept of time and space. The result of this study confirmed that the application of historical contents into a board game can increase educational effects while the procedures of the activity and preparation are not complicated. In the future, if culports educational programs combining various game elements with history contents based on unique cultural and historical backgrounds like ‘Mahan’ are developed, they will have a positive influence on public archeology as well.

“초기철기시대와 원삼국시대 고고학 자료의 인식”에 대한 반론

이성주가 한반도 중남부지역의 초기철기시대와 원삼국시대 토기 양상을 전체적으로 파악하려는 것은 그 의미가 매우 크다. 하지만 호남지역에 한정하여 살펴보면 문제가 없지 않다. 그가 호남지역 원삼 국시대 취락이 극히 적다는 인식을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 오히려 타날문토기의 연대를 낮추는 것은 그 시기의 공백을 더욱 조장하는 것으로 전혀 문제의 해결에 도움을 주지 못하고 있다. 편년의 체계를 바꾸기 위해서는 이를 방증하기 위한 객관적인 자료의 제시가 필요하고, 이를 바탕으로 더 나은 문화양상을 설명할 수 있을 때 가능하다. 또 영남지역의 토기양상에 대한 그의 인식을 다른 지역에 그대로 적용할 수 없음은 분명하다. 문화의 변천은 문화권마다 다를 수 있다. 하나의 틀(모델)로 한반도 중남부지역의 전체 양상을 설명하는 것은 불가능하다고 할 수 있다. 특히 호남지역에서 토기 제작기술의 변천을 살펴보면 결코 영남지역과 동일하다고 볼 수 없다. 결국 타날문토기의 연대를 더 낮추어야 한다는 이성주의 견해는 적어도 호남지역 토기양상을 이해 하는데 적절한 주장으로 보이지 않는다. It is meaningful that Lee Sung-joo understands the pottery pattern of the early Iron Age and the proto-Three Kingdoms period in central and southern part of the Korean Peninsula as a whole. However, it can be seen that there are some problems if we limit it to Honam province. Despite his perception that the settlements of the Proto-three Kingdoms period in Honam are extremely scarce, lowering the date of the beating patterned pottery is not helping to solve the problem at all by further promoting the gap at this time. In order to change the system of the chronology, it is necessary to present objective data to prove it, and it is possible to explain the better culture based on this. It is also clear that his perception of the pottery pattern in Yeongnam province can not be applied to other regions. The changes in culture would be vary from culture to culture. It is impossible to explain the whole aspect of the central and southern regions of the Korean Peninsula with a single framework (model). Especially, if you look at the change of pottery production technology in Honam province, it can not be regarded as the same as Yeongnam province. In the end, Lee Seong-joo s view that the date of the beating patterned pottery should be further lowered is not at least an appropriate recognition to understand the pottery pattern in Honam province.
