충암 종가 가전유물(家傳遺物)은 대표적인 기묘명현(己卯名賢)의 한 사람인 충암(沖庵) 김정(金淨, 1486~1521)의 종손인 김응일 가문에 세전되어온 자료로 2016년 7월 대전시립박물관에 기탁되었다. 이들 자료는 6백여 점으로 고문서와 전적 및 민속품 등이 대부분인데, 130여 점의 경서류를 비롯한 전적을 제외하면 대부분 고문서류가 차지하고 있다. 기탁자 김응일의 부친 김원식(金元植)의 생존시 증언에 의하면 원래는 소장 자료가 이보다 훨씬 더 많았으나 6ㆍ25 전란 중에 상당부분 분실되었다고 한다. 고문서 대부분은 일반 사대부가에서 소장하던 조선시대 고문서 종류와 크게 다르지 않다. 문서들은 주로 충암과 그의 증손 김성발(金聲發, 1569~1642)에서부터 13대손 김기종(金基宗, 1861~1911)까지 직계 중심으로 집중되어 있다. 고문서들은 주로 김정의 『충암집』 속집과 『충암연보』 보완을 위해 수집 정리한 단편적인 자료들과 그의 증손 김성발에서부터 13대손인 김기종까지 직계 중심의 교지나 교첩 등의 교령류, 준호구, 완문 등의 증빙류, 토지매매문기, 분재기 등의 고문서가 주류를 이룬다. 아쉬운 것은 기묘명현의 대표적 인물인 충암 김정 관련한 자료가 적다는 점이다. 특히 새로운 사실을 밝힐 수 있는 충암이 남긴 직접적인 자료나 그가 교류한 인물들이 남긴 당대 자료는 전무하다. 또한 전적류도 고문서류와 같이 충암에 관한 자료가 중심이 되고, 김정의 유문(遺文)을 수집해서 편찬한 『충암집』과 『충암연보』를 비롯해서 김정과 관련된 인물의 문집이 포함되어 있다. 이와 함께 우리나라 근대 개화사상가이자 정치가였던 유길준과의 혼인관계를 유추해 볼 수 있는 『구당시초』의 존재는 근대까지도 이 집안의 위치를 가늠해 볼 수 있는 상징적인 자료로 볼 수 있다. 충암 김정가 자료들은 조선후기 한 가문의 장기 지속적인 선조 현창을 위한 문집과 연보 등의 간행과 그 과정을 알 수 있는 주요한 자료로서 의미가 있고, 지역사 뿐만 아니라 대표적인 기묘명현인 충암 김정에 대한 이해와 그 후대에게 미친 영향을 모색하는데 중요한 정보를 제공해준다고 하겠다. The relics handed down in the head family of Chung-Am are those inherited in the family of Eung-Il Kim, the eldest grandson of the head family of Chung-Am who was a representative noted wise man in the year of the hare, and they were deposited in Daejeon City Museum July in 2016. Most of these materials are about 600 ancient documents, transfers of the family register, folk goods, etc.; except 130 transfers of the family register, the majority of them are ancient documents. The depositor Eung-Il Kim"s father Won-Sik Kim, while he was alive, testified that collection materials were a lot more than these originally, but a large part was lost in the Korean War. Most of the ancient documents do not differ widely from those of Joseon Dynasty that normal noblemen collected. The documents are mainly centered on the direct line from Chung-Am and his eldest grandson Sung-Bal Kim (金聲發, 1569~1642) to the 13th-generation grandson Ki-Jong Kim (金基宗, 1861~1911). The ancient documents consist mainly of a serial collection of Chung-Am Collection (沖庵集), fragmentary materials collected and organized to compensate for Chung-Am Chronology (沖庵年譜), the direct family line"s instructions of the will, the certificates of appointment, etc., the proofs of family registers, permission documents, etc., and the ancient documents of land-selling documents, heritage record documents, etc. We are sorry for the fact that the materials related to Chung-Am, a representative noted wise man in the year of the hare are small in number. In particular, the direct materials which Chung-Am left behind to be able to reveal new facts and the contemporary materials that his friends left behind are not available at all. Like the ancient documents, the transfers of the family register are also centered on the materials on Chung-Am, and contain the collection of works of the figures related to Kim Jung, including Chung-Am Collection (沖庵集) and Chung-Am Chronology (沖庵年譜) compiled by collecting Kim Jung"s posthumous writings. In addition, Gudangsicho (矩堂詩鈔), by which the marriage relationship with Gil-Jun Yoo who was a modern civilized thinker and politician in Korea can be inferred, can be said to be a symbolic material to make a guess of the place of this family until the modern times. The materials of Chung-Am Kim Jung are said to have significance as main materials which allow us to know the publication and the process of collected writings, chronology, etc. for a family line revealing the ancestors continuously for a long time in the later Joseon Dynasty, and are seen to offer the important information in seeking the understanding and the continuous influence of a representative noted wise man in the year of the hare as will as the local history.
