Mono-sodium Propyleneglycolate에 의한 PET 신합섬직물의 분해에 관한 연구

Polyester (PET) microfiber was treated by mono-sodium propylenglycolate at 100, 110, 120 and 140℃ . Kinetic study has shown that the mono-sodium propyleneglycolate decomposes PET fibers through ester interchange reaction and the examined temperature dependent reaction rate constant of the reaction follows Arrehenius type pattern.The activation energy obtained by fitting the rate constants of the reaction at 110, 110, 120 and 140℃ to Arrehenius equation was found to be 16.42kcal/mol.
흰민들레 (Taraxacum coreanum) 추출물이 급성 수은 중독된 생쥐의 간에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 급성 수은 독성에 대한 민들레의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 시도되었다. 30 g 내외의 생쥐를 대상으로 대조군, 수은(5mg/kg) 투여군, 수은 투여 후 민들레(3 g/kg)를 구강투여 한 후 다시 24, 48, 72, 96시간, 1주일군으로 세분하여 간장 손상 억제 효과를 알아보기 위하여 생화학적 및 조직학적 실험을 실시하였다. 혈액중 aspartate amiotransferase (AST)와 alanine aminotransferase (ALT)의 수치는 민들레 투여군이 수은 투여군보다 감소되었다. 또한 간조직의 SOD와 catalase 활성도 역시 민들레 투여군이 수은 투여군에 비하여 감소하였으나 통계학적 유의성은 없었다. 간 조직의 광학현미경적 관찰에서 심한 조직괴사가 관찰되지만 민들레 투여군에서는 문맥주위의 약간의 괴사와 심한 호중구 침윤현상이 관찰되었다. 전자현미경적 관찰 결과, 간장에서 수은 투여군은 간세포의 핵이 함입되어 불규칙했으며 미토콘드리아와 조면소포체의 수조가 팽대되고, 리보솜의 탈락이 관찰되었다. 민들레 투여군은 핵이 정상적인 상태로 관찰되었고, 전자밀도가 높은 미토콘드리아가 분포되어 있었으며, 리보솜이 부착된 상태로 층판구조를 형성하는 조면소포체가 관찰되었다. 이상의 연구 결과로 보아 민들레가 수은으로 유발된 간손상을 보호하는 효과가 있는 것으로 사료되며 민들레에 대한 다양한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. Dandelion has been frequently used as a remedy for women’s disease, inflammatory diseases and disorders of the liver and gallbladder. Dandelion extracts water extract, an herbal medication, may have an effect on the activity of hepatic antioxidant enzymes in diabetic rat. This study aims demonstrate the effect of dandelion extracts, one of the natural chelator, on the biochemical and enzyme activity changes in the mouse liver caused by HgCl₂. Mice approximately 30 gm in weight were grouped into the control, mercury chloride-treated, and the dandelion extractstreated after mercury chloride groups. HgCl₂ (5 mg/kg) and dandelion extracts (3 g/kg) were delivered orally. Serum AST and ALT were measured, enzyme activity of liver were examined by spectrophotometer and ultrastructural alteration of liver were examined by light and electron microscopy. Dandelion extracts were decreased the increase of serum AST and ALT level induced by mercury. The catalase activity was decreased in the dandelion extracts group. The activity of SOD was dereased, but did not show significant differences. Mercury chloride-treated hepatic cell were irregular nucleus, enlarged and reduced number of mitochodria, enlarged rough endoplasmic reticulum, loss of ribosomes. Cells treated with dandelion extracts were similar to those of the control group. In conclusion, dandelion extracts may protect the mercury-induced toxicity on Liver.

In convulsion state by PTZ in rat, anticonvulsive effect and some γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-related mechanisms of Bythus extract in brain was experimented. It was ingibited GABA-T activity, lipid peroxide generation and xanthine oxidase activity as scheduled administration in vitro and vivo. And the content of brain gutathione was increased as scheduled administration in rat. In convulsion state by PTZ of previously managed rat by Buthus extract, onset eime and duration were non-specific changes but recovery time and severity was remarkably reduced. In conclusion speculated that Buthus extract inhibits convulsion by control of GABA content in brain.

An in-depth study of the AC hot-carrier degradation behaviour of N-channel transistors was carried out based on the alternating stress and charge pumping techniques. Various pulsed stress conditions including frequency, duty ratio of the gate/drain pulse, output loading, and transition time of the gate pulse were used to evaluate the AC effects more common in actual ULSI circuits.

<P>We investigated on the formation of a scale on the hole surface of brass cooling nozzles in the hot strip mill process of steel manufacturing. High roughness of a nozzle hole surface due to the scale formation obstructs a laminar flow of coolant, which can result in the diminution of cooling efficiency of strips. Morphology and elemental composition of a scale formed on the hole surface of cooling nozzles used in the hot strip mill process for a long time were characterized with an electron microscope equipped with an energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscope. The scale is mainly composed of a foreign substance layer and an oxide layer. In addition, three kinds of cooling water were analyzed to investigate an inflow source for elemental constituents of the foreign substance layer. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.</P>

The preferred orientations and microstructures of the cold rolled 0.004%C and 0.022%C steel were studied. The crystallographic deformation theory was applied to analyse the results of the x -ray measurements and TEM observations. It was found that the rolling texture of the steels could be described by a {111}//ND fiber and a $lt;110$gt;//ND fiber. The equiaxed cells developed by homogeneous slip might be a major deformation mechanism of the steels at low rolling reductions. At medium to high rolling reductions, however, the major deformation mechanism was changed to the formation of the microbands, which was developed by a localized inhomogeneous slip. As further increasing reduction, the deformation mechanism was changed consecutively as clustering of microbands, decreasing microband thickness, a rotation of microbands to the rolling direction and a development of shear bands in the hard grains.
Tumor Mesenchymal Stem-Like Cell as a Prognostic Marker in Primary Glioblastoma

<P>The isolation from brain tumors of tumor mesenchymal stem-like cells (tMSLCs) suggests that these cells play a role in creating a microenvironment for tumor initiation and progression. The clinical characteristics of patients with primary glioblastoma (pGBM) positive for tMSLCs have not been determined. This study analyzed samples from 82 patients with pGBM who had undergone tumor removal, pathological diagnosis, and isolation of tMSLC from April 2009 to October 2014. Survival, extent of resection, molecular markers, and tMSLC culture results were statistically evaluated. Median overall survival was 18.6 months, 15.0 months in tMSLC-positive patients and 29.5 months in tMSLC-negative patients (<I>P</I> = 0.014). Multivariate cox regression model showed isolation of tMSLC (OR = 2.5, 95% CI = 1.1~5.6, <I>P</I> = 0.021) showed poor outcome while larger extent of resection (OR = 0.5, 95% CI = 0.2~0.8, <I>P</I> = 0.011) has association with better outcome. The presence of tMSLCs isolated from the specimen of pGBM is associated with the survival of patient.</P>
