본 연구는 전국 13 개 도시철도 운영기관의 운영서비스에 대한 도시철도 이용자 만족도를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 도시철도 운영현황 파악 및 운영 서비스 개선방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 만족도분석을 위한 구조방정식 분석 결과, 이용자 만족도에 미치는 영향은 쾌적환경 서비스와 이용환경 서비스가 높은 것으로 나타났고, 운영서비스와 정보서비스는 상대적으로 적은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, IPA 분석결과, 배차간격과 환기상태에 대한 서비스 품질이 최우선적으로 개선되어야 할 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 향후 도시철도 서비스 만족도 제고를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이라 판단된다. This study looked into urban railway corporation user satisfaction with operation services of these corporations of 13 urban railway systems in Korea both to improve understanding on current status of urban railway corporation and to offer ideas on how to enhance the operation services. In order to analyze effects on user satisfaction, the study designed a structural equation model and proceeded with the analysis using IPA that would evaluate user perception and satisfaction. The findings of the structural equation analysis reported that pleasant environment service and use environment service significantly influence user satisfaction but that the satisfaction is relatively less affected by operation service and information service. In addition, based on the results of IPA analysis, the study confirmed that the service quality of arrival intervals as well as ventilation should improve as the greatest priority

Cutaneous metastases from follicular thyroid carcinoma are extremely rare. A 59-year-old woman presented with a 1 month history of a slowly enlarging scalp nodule. Ten years earlier, the patient had been received total thyroidectomy for anterior neck mass, and diagnosed as poorly differentiated follicular thyroid carcinoma. The patient had developed pulmonary metastases 4 years after the initial surgery and concurrent chemotherapy. A biopsy from the scalp nodule showed an intradermal tumor composed of mostly thyroid follicular structures with colloid material. The tumor cells were monomorphic with scant pale cytoplasm and uniform nuclei, and stained positive for thyroid transcription factor-1 and thyroglobulin. We report a cutaneous metastasis from the follicular thyroid carcinoma as a rare case. (Korean J Dermatol 2009;47(11):1267~1270)

Ceramide is involved in cell death as a lipid mediator of stress responses. In this study, we developed an improved method of ceramide quantification based on added synthetic ceramide and thin layer chromatography (TLC) separation, and applied to biological samples. Lipids were extracted from samples spiked with N-oleoyl-D-erythro-sphingosine ($C_{17}$ ceramide) as an internal standard. Ceramide was resolved by TLC, complexed with fatty-acidfree bovine serum albumin (BSA), and deacylated by ceramidase (CDase). The released sphingosine was derivatized with o-phthalaldehyde (OPA) and measured by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The limit of detection for ceramide was about 1-2 pmol and the lower limit of quantification was 5 pmol. Ceramide recovery was approximately 86-93%. Ceramide concentrations were determined in biological samples including cultured cells, mouse tissues, and mouse and human plasma. TLC separation of ceramide provides HPLC chromatogram with a clean background without any interfering peaks and the enhanced solubility of ceramide by BSAceramide complex leads to the increased deacylation of ceramide. The use of an internal standard for the determination of ceramide concentration in these samples provides an accurate and reproducible analytical method, and this method can be applicable to diverse biological samples.
수정형 Wallace 트리를 이용한 N×N 병렬 승산기 모듈 생성기

병렬 승산기는 컴퓨터 시스템 뿐만아니라 여러 응용 분야에서 핵심적인 역할을 수행하는 산술 연산장치이다. 본 논문에서는 N×N (N=2M, M≥2) 병렬 승산기 모듈 생성기를 개발하였다. 모듈 생성기로 생성된 병렬 승산기는 다수개의 부분곱을 더하는 다수 피연산자 가산회로로 수정형 Wallace 트리를 이용하였다. 수정형 Wallace 트리는 트리의 입력 비트수가 증가할수록 게이트 지연시간이 감소하는 장점을 갖고 있으나, 기존의 Wallace 트리에 비해 규칙성이 적어서 생성기로 구현하기에는 다소 어려움이 있다. 이 단점을 극복하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 임의의 입력 비트에 대하여 수정형 Wallace 트리를 생성하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 모듈 생성기로 생성한 병렬 승산기는 수정형 Booth 부호기, 부분곱 생성기, 수정형 Wallace 트리, hybrid prefix 가산기로 구성되었다. 개발된 모듈생성기는 1.5μ, 1.2μ, 1.0μ , 0.8μ 이중 메탈 CMOS 공정 하에서 자동적으로 N×N 병렬 승산기를 생성한다. Parallel multiplier serves as the core of ALU not only in computer systems but also in many application areas. In this paper we have developed anN×N (N=2M, M≥2) par. allel multiplier module generator. This parallel multiplier which is generated by module generator has a multioperand addition circuit which add multiple partial products using a modified Wallace tree. The modified Wallace tree has the advantage of decrease in delay time as number of input bits of the tree increases, but has less regularity than the Wallace tree, and makes it more difficult to design with the generator. To overcome this disadvantage, we have developed an algorithm which creates a modified Wallace tree for arbitrary input bits. Parallel multiplier generated by the module generator is composed of a modified Booth encoder, a partial product generator, a modified Wallace tree, and a hybrid prefix adder. The developed module generator automatically generates N×N parallel multiplier under 1.5μ, 1.2μ, 1.0μ, 0.8μ double metal CMOS technologies.

Intestinal malrotation with volvulus is generally presented as a bilious vomiting and acute intestinal obstruction in the newborn period. It could compromise vascular supply of the small bowel secondary to torsion of superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and without urgent surgical management, it could lead to detrimental outcomes such as transmural bowel infarction and sepsis. However, in chronic cases, it is rarely obstructs the vascular supply and propagates to an acute bowel infarction. Rarely, chronic malrotation with midgut volvulus may not reduce the mesenteric blood supply because of collateral vessels, and the chronically stagnated blood flow of the superior mesenteric vein (SMV) favors thrombus formation within the lumen. The recommended treatment is Ladd’s procedure and anticoagulation therapy. The authors present an unusual case of intestinal malrotation with chronic volvulus resulting in superior mesenteric vein and portal vein thrombosis in a 28-year-old patient.

Primary malignant melanoma of tbe esophagus is extremely rare and its incidence is below 0.1%. The tumor is polypoid and tend to be large, which is covered with false membrane, friable, hemorrhagic, and necrotic. Hematogenous and lymphogenic metastasis are common. Resection of the tumor with an anastomotic procedure seems to be the treatment of choice, and postoperative irradiation may be useful. But, despite these measures, prognosis is poor, with a 5-year survival of 4.2%. We report a case of 58-year-old man with primary malig- nant melanoma of the epophagus, and review of the literature in presented related studies.

Pancreatitis in pregnancy is rare and occurs in approximately 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 3,000 pregnancies. Acute pancreatitis rarely complicates pregnancy, can occur during any trimester but over half occur during the third trimester. Gallstones are the most common cause and most cases are associated with biliary tract disease. On the other hand, acute pancreatitis cause by hypertriglyceridemia due to increase of estrogen during gestational period is very rare, but complication carries a higher risk morbidity and mortality for both the mother and the fetus. We had experienced two cases of acute pancreatitis with different causes during pregnancy; one case of a pregnant woman who died of the acute exacerbation of hypertriglyceridemia- induced acute pancreatitis in 23 weeks of gestation, and the other case who revealed with multiple gallstones at 36 weeks of gestation, removed stone by ERCP and delivered successfully. In this report, we compare the progress and management of the two cases of pancreatitis during pregnancy along with literature reviews.
Modeling for Resist Reflow of an Elongated Contact Hole

Resist reflow is a simple and cost effective technique by which the resist is baked above the glass transition temperature (Tg) after the typical contact hole pattern has been exposed, baked, and developed. The resist reflow method can obtain very high resolution without the loss of process margin compared to any other resolution enhancement technique that can make the same line width. However, it is difficult to predict the results of thermal flow and process optimization. If the results of reflow could be exactly predicted, we could save great time and cost. Thus, in order to optimize the layout design and process parameters, we develop a simple resist flow model that can predict the resist reflow as a function of the contact hole size, the initial shape, and the reflow temperature for normal and elongated contact holes. The basic fluid equation is used to express the flow of the resist, and the variations of the viscosity and the density as functions of the reflow temperature and time are considered. Moreover, the surfaces tension and gravity are considered. In order to build a basic algorithm, we assume that the fluid is incompressible, irrotational, and Newtonian. First, we consider the boundary movement of a side wall, and we think of the basic equations for a free surface flow of a fluid as the 2-dimensional time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations with the mass conservation equation. The surface tension acting on the interface, the pressure difference, and the gravity force that enables the resist flow are also included.
