For this purpose, The characteristics of mycelial growth were investigated on potato Dextrose Agar, sawdust and liquid media in the laboratory, and the mycelial growth, the yield of fruit-bodies, the growing type, and the morphology were investigated through the cultivation on bed-log in Kwang Neung district. The following results were obtained. 1. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth of Lentinus edodes was near 25℃ on potato Dextrose Agar medium 2. From the growth curves of Lentinus edodes the strains were divided into two groups; SANRYUN 1, IMSHI 1, JEJU 1, KANGWON 1, in fast growing groups and SANRYUN 2, 3 in relatively slow growing groups. 3. The Mycelial dry weight obtained from the liquid culture was high in the order of IMSHI 1, KANGWON 1, JIRI 1, JEJU 1. 4. KANGWON 1, and JEJU 1 showed the best mycelial growth on inner logs. 5. The productivity of the fruit-bodies was high in the order of KANGWON 1, IMSHI 1, SANRYUN 1, SANRYUN 3, SANRYUN 2. 6. The Growng types of the fruit-bodies of the strains were spring and autumn growing types at SANRYUN 1 IMSHI 1, KANGWON 1, JIRI 1, JEJU 1, and showed the characteristics of low temperature strains at SANRYUN 2, 3. 7. The best morphological characteristics of the fruit-bodies was observed in SANRYUN 2.

Objectives : This study was carried out to suggest preventive methods for hypertension in cold-exposed workers. Methods : In 11 refs·iteration industries, 68 workers working in refrigerated areas more than one time per day were selected as the exposed group, and 68 workers not exposed to cold were selected as the control group. We interviewed the subjects with a questionnaire covering occupational history, and conducted clinical and laboratory tests including measurements of blood pressure and core temperature. Results : The systolic blood pressure in the exposed group(130.0±13.3 mmHg) was significantly higher than that recorded In the control group(118.3±12.1 mmHg), as was the diastolic blood pressure in the exposed group(82.7±8.5 mmHg) versus the control group(77.4±8.7 mmHg). The core temperature in the exposed group(36.1±0.7℃) was significantly lower than that experienced in the control group (36.4±0.5℃). In logistic regression analysis, age, cold exposure severity and milk intake were significant variables, with odds ratios of 5.204(95 % CI 1.440∼18.812), 2.674(95 % CI 1.080∼6.618), and 0.364(95 % Cl 0.141∼0.942) , respectively. Conclusions : Our study suggests that cold-exposed workers have higher a higher risk of hypertension, and that their core temperature is lower. Risk factors affecting hyper-tension of cold-exposed workers include age, cold exposure severity and milk intake. For the prevention of hypertension, cold-exposed workers should minimize cold-exposure time as much as possible.

The majority of flexible bronchoscopies are performed under topical anesthesia with lidocaine being the most commonly used agent. Anaphylaxis rarely occurs after local administration of lidocaine, but can be a fatal complication. We experienced a case of unexpected anaphylaxis. A 66-year-old woman was scheduled for flexible bronchoscopy to evaluate a tracheal mass and stenosis. The oral and nasal mucosa were pretreated with lidocaine. About 2∼3 minutes later, the patient developed hypotension and we treated for anaphylaxis in the emergency room. Then, we decided to perform rigid bronchoscopy in this patient, under conditions of general anesthesia. A rigid bronchoscopy was performed in this patient, safely and successfully. The tracheal mass was determined to be squamous cell carcinoma.
장기간의 복합트레이닝이 중년 남녀의 스포츠 의학적 변인에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of sports medicine variables after 20weeks combined training. Subjects were consisted of 130 middle-aged males and females. The training program was separated treadmill running and muscular resistance training. The treadmill running was composed of 60-70% HRmax(Intensity), 30 minutes per day(Duration), 5 days per week(Frequency). The muscular resistance training was composed of 70% of 1RM(Intensity), 40 minutes per day(Duration), 5 days per week(Frequency). multiple ANOVA was used to evaluate change times. We found that weight, BMI %body fat, SBP and DBP were significantly decreased and LBM was significantly increased after 20 weeks combined training. In conclusion, combined training was shown to positive influence on body composition and blood pressure. Therefore, it is maybe though that 20 weeks combined training will benefit the prevention of life style related diseases.

Ti and its alloys are widely used in a variety of dental applications, the excellent biocompatibility of the materials has been attributed to the ability of a stable oxide formation and the repassivation on the surfaces. However, the adverse effects of titanium metals have been reported, the metal ions have been shown to interfere normal osteogenesis. In order to reduce the metal ion release from the surfaces, various surface modification techniques, such as anodic passivation, ion implantation or ceramic coating, have been applied. In especial, bioceramic coating techniques have been developed to enhance the bioinertness and/or bioactivity of the metals. One of the novel applications of the low temperature are vapor deposition(LTAVD) is the creation of bioinert ceramic films for use as implants. The ceramic layers can be synthesized by sputtering a metal or alloy in the persence of a low pressure reactive gas resulting in biocompatible materials such as titanium nitrides. LTAVD has a number of advantages over other coating techniques. LTAVD coatings are very adherent to substrate and resistant to wear and corrosion, and maintains the purity and compostion of the coating materials. Positive results on particularly TiN coating have been reported in terms of the adhesion strength of the coating layer, and the microhardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and cytocompatibil-.ity of the surface. This thick surface nitride layer is belived to enhance the bioinertness of Ti implants. Also, we are interested in the utility of TiN coating for enhancement of osteointegration. Further animal and clinical studies are needed to confirm the effect of the bioceramic coating on hard tissue compatibility.

Syzygites megalocarpus occurred on the fruit bodies of Tricholoma matsutake, Leccinum rugosiceps, Pulveroboletus ravenelii, Russula emetica, and Amanita pseudoporphyria in the field. We could select Malt Extract Agar, Mueller Hinton Medium and Potato Dextrose Agar as optimal media among eight media. Syzygites megalocarpus showed an optimal temperature around 23℃ with optimal pH 6.0. Growth of S. megalocarpus on PDA was inhibited by 36.5% at 5% NaCl compared with without NaCl and did not grow at more than 8% NaCl in 2 days after inoculation. However, it grew 1.1 ㎝ in 10% NaCl in 5 days after inoculation. Growth of Tricholoma matsutake on PDA was inhibited by increasing contration of NaCl and did not nearly grow at 2.5% NaCl in 60 days after inoculation. Because S. megalocarpus grew at high concentration of NaCl, we concluded that NaCl should not use for controlling S. megalocarpus on the fruit body of T. matsutake.
