The Korean government introduced a private-initiative park project to prevent further environmental damage caused by the abolition of parks. The private-initiative park project is expected to affect the connectivity of the green space system by creating a part of the park site as a non-park facility. The purpose of this study is to analyze the change in the connectivity of the green space system in relation to the private-initiative park project. The spatial scope of this study is in Cheongju, Korea. There were 8 private-initiative park projects selected as research subjects. The IIC indicator and d_IIC indicator, which are widely used in the analysis of green space connectivity, were used as analysis methods. Changes in connectivity according to four scenarios were simulated. Upon analysis, the results revealed that private-initiative park projects can reduce the overall connectivity of green spaces. The connectivity of private-initiative park projects can be improved compared to the situation of unplanned development while maintaining the current state. Lastly, changes in connectivity due to private-initiative park projects vary by region. This study was meaningful as an early study that analyzed private-initiative park projects in terms of the connectivity of green areas and is expected to be used for the improvement of the park and green space system in the future.
조혈모세포이식 환자에서 침습성 진균 감염에 대한 Micafungin의 예방 효과 및 안전성

Background: Micafungin, a potent inhibitor of 1,3-β-D-glucan synthase, is a novel antifungal agent of the echinocandin class. In vitro study showed that micafungin was effective against Aspergillus species as well as Candida species, but clinical data on the prophylactic efficacy against invasive fungal infections (IFIs) other than candidiasis are still lacking. Materials and Methods: We identified 60 consecutive adult hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients who received at least 3 doses of micafungin during neutropenic period. Micafungin was started as an alternative in patients who were intolerant or had adverse events (AEs) to primary prophylactic antifungal agents. We retrospectively reviewed the medical records and analyzed the efficacy and safety of micafungin for prophylaxis against IFIs. Results: The patients either had autologous (n=9) or allogeneic (n=51: 1 syngeneic, 24 sibling, 26 unrelated donor) HSCT. Itraconazole oral solution (n=58) was the most frequently used first line antifungal agent for prophylaxis and was administered for median 11 days. The most frequent cause of switch to micafungin was vomiting (n=42). The duration of neutropenia and micafungin administration was median 13 and 12 days, respectively. A successful outcome was achieved in 45 (75%) patients. Empirical antifungal therapy was initiated in 13 (22%) patients. There were 2 cases (3.3%) of breakthrough fungal infections which comprised a probable invasive pulmonary aspergillosis and a possible invasive fungal sinusitis. There was no case of invasive candidiasis. A total of 53 (88%) patients experienced at least one AE regardless of causality during micafungin administration. The most frequent AEs were hypokalemia, vomiting, diarrhea, and elevated serum aspartate aminotransferase or alanine aminotransferase. Among the aforementioned AEs, only 1 case of diarrhea could be classified as a probable relation with micafungin when causality was assessed. There was no AEs that caused discontinuation of micafungin. Conclusions: Micafungin seems to be a safe and effective agent for prophylaxis of IFIs including aspergillosis as well as candidiasis in HSCT recipients. However, further large, prospective, and randomized comparative studies are warranted for aspergillosis.

High-speed/low-power/low-cost multipliers play an important role in micro-processors and digital signal processors because multiplier core not only occupies a signigicant percentage of the silicon area, but also limits the overall performance. This paper describes a design of dual mode multiplier (DMM) that performs single- and double-precision multiplications using hardware required for single-precision multiplication. We propose an efficient algorithm which partitions a double-precision multiplication into four single-precision sub-multiplications and then computes them with sequential accumulations. When compared with conventional double-precision multipliers, our approach reduces hardware complexity required for double-precision multiplication by about one third at the expense of increased latency. The DMM has been designed using a 0.25-㎛ 5-metal CMOS technology, and contains about 25,000 transistors on the area of about 0.77×0.40㎟. The HSPICE simulation results show that the DMM core can safely operate with 150-MHz clock at 2.5-V, and the estimated power dissipation is about 110-mW at double-precision mode.

목 적 : 진폐증은 분진으로 인해 인체의 면역기전이 작용하여 폐섬유화가 진행되는 질환으로, 인체의 면역기전에 작용하는 구리와 아연은 진폐증의 병리적인 진행과정인 폐섬유화에 관여한다. 본 연구의 목적은 초기진폐증 유소견자와 진행된 진폐증 환자의 혈청 구리와 아연의 농도를 정상인과 비교함으로써 체내 구리와 아연의 농도가 진폐증의 섬유화의 진행정도에 따라 변동함을 밝히고, 이를 이용하여 폐섬유화의 진행정도를 추정할 수 있는 지표를 제시하고자 한다. 방 법 : 진폐정밀기관에 내원한 초진내 원자 100명과 진폐요양기관에 입원한 진폐증 환자 100명을 선정한 후 흥부사진소견을 ILO 분류법의 진폐진행정도에 따라 각각 세 군(Stage Vl, V2, V3 & Stage Pl, P2, P3)으로 구분한 후 각 군의 혈청구리와 아연의 농도를 비교분석하였다. 대조군으로는 폐결핵, 심근경색, 뇌경색을 경험한 적이 없는 일반인 100명을 선정하였다. 결 과 : 초진내 원자군의 혈청 구리농도는 섬유화의 진행단계에 따른 유의한 차이를 보였으며, Stage V3에서 가장 높았다. 입원환자군에서는 혈청 구리농도가 대조군과 유의한 차이를 보이지 않는데 (p=0, 152), 이는 입원환자의 불량한 영양상태와 건강상태 때문인 것으로 추정된다. 초진내원자군과 입원환자군의 혈청 아연농도는 섬유화의 진행에 따라 통계적인 차이를 보였으며, Stage V2와 Stage P2, P3에서 각각 대조군에 비해 유의하게 낮았다. 혈청 아연과 구리농도의 비또한 양군에서 섬유화의 진행에 따라 의미있게 높았는데, 섬유화가 현저히 진행된 단계 (Stage V3, Stage P2, P3)에서 대조군과 의미있는 차이를 보였다. 결 론 : 초진내 원자와 입원환자의 혈청 Cu/zrl 비는 섬유화의 진행정도가 현저할수록 대조군에 비해 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 진폐증 환자들의 혈청 Cu/zn 비는 진폐증의 폐섬유화의 진행정도를 추정함에 있어 상당히 유용한 지표로 이용될 수 있으며, 폐섬유화의 진행과정에서의 혈청 구리와 아연의 작용기전을 이용한 치료방법의 마련에도 도움이 될 것으로 판단한다. Objectives : Copper and Zinc, the trace elements of a living body, take a part in immunologic mechanism and induce the pulmonary fibrosis which is the pathologic progress of pneumoconiosis. This study was performed to assist the identification of the pathologic process of pulmonary fibrosis in pneumoconiosis. Methods : The subjects of thls study was 200 diagnosed persons as pneumoconiosis, of whom 700 persons was the visitors in the outpatients departments of pneumoconiosis and 100 admissive pneumoconiosis patients. The serum copper and zinc are measured and compared. Results : The mean serum copper concentration of visitor group was significantly higher than that of control group, and that of stage V3 subgroup of visitor group was highest because of their advanced fibrosis. But, there was not the difference of serum copper concentration between patient and control group. We thought that the reason was poor nutritional and health status of the patient. The mean of serum zinc concentration of visitor and patient control was lower than that of control group. As the degree of pulmonary fibrosis was more severe from stage Vl, V2, V3 of visitor to stage Pl, P2, P3 of patient, the mean of serum zinc concentration was lower. The ratio of serum copper/zinc of visitor and patient was higher than that of control, and that of patient was higher than that of visitor. Those results showed that the ratio of serum copper/zlnc ratio more greatly expressed the degree of progression of pneumoconiosis than only copper or zinc concentration by adjustment of nutritional and health status of the patient. Conclusions : As above study results, the degree of pulmonary fibrosis of pneumoconiosis could be estimated by means of serum copper/zinc ratio.

We report here the synthesis and photo-(PL) and electro-luminescenee(EL) properties of several partially conjugated polymers based on carbazole moiety, poly(3, 6-N-2-ethyl hexyl carbazolyl cyanoterephthalidene) (PolyEHCCP), poly(3, 6-N-ethylhexyl carbazolyl vinylene) (PolyEHCV) as emitting conjugated polymer for EL applications. Single layer Poly(EHCCP), Poly(EHCV) devices with ITO anode and aluminum cathode show green PL and green EL with typical diode characteristics. ITO/Poly(EHCV)/Al device shows green EL around λmax=530nm and turn-on voltage at 8V. Poly(EHCCP) device exhibits also green EL around λmax= 510 nm. The current-voltage(I-V) curve of the polymer shows typical rectifying diode characteristics in A1/polymer/ITO device.

The Saemaeul Undong was launched in 1972 on the basis of the experimental model or Saemaeul pilot projects of the previous year. The Saemaeul Undong is now a nation-wide movement which is based on the fundamental spirits of diligence, self-help and cooperation. Much of the success of the Saemaeul Undong depends on its leaders, who play a pivot role in implementing Saemaeul projects for their community. Popularly elected by the village assembly according to their leadership and faith, the leaders render their services without remuneration, working in the spirit of self-sacrifice. Now, the Saemacul Undong enters upon its tenth year in 1981. If the movement is to continue with renewed momentum, effective training projects for Saemaeul leaders must be worked out. For this purpose, it is then recommended that the research works on the leadership training projects of the Bright Society Movement be referred to. Initially started as a community movement for better life on the campus of Kyung Hee University in 1960's, the Bright Society Movement is now gaining widespread support from national as well as international club members. The goals of the Bright Society Movement are to promote mutual understanding and friendship among members and to construct on earth a truly sound and civilized welfare society that is spiritually beautiful, materially affluent, and humanely rewarding. The main objectives of this study is to propose effective training projects for Saemeaul leaders as well as the Bright Society leaders. 1) Educational courses of leadership training should be offered through the school as well as through the training institution of the community. 2) Educational contents of leadership training should place greater emphasis not only on the spiritual education but also on the technical and practical education related to the welfare of the Community. 3) Public relations education should be strengthened because leaders must work in close cooperation with the community residents for the effective movement. 4) Long-term integrated projects for the community or village unit should be established and the movement should be developed according to them. 5) A special system of regional itinerant education should be established for the effective management of selective leaders. 6) For the welfare of leaders themselves, special favors such as the authorization of leadership careers, scholarships for their sons and daughters, discounts on public charges and the priority on public employment must be offer according to their respective performance.

To be progressed in information society, personal information protection is one of the most important things for desirable development of information society. This research investigates personal information infringements and effective protection means in resident registration system and use of resident registration information. First, this research is studied the history of Resident Registration Law(Korea ID law) and need of positive privacy by computer technology improvement, Second, this research evaluated the resident registration system on OECD's privacy protection principles: Collection Limitation, Data Quality, Purpose Specification, Use Limitation, Security Safeguards, Openness, Participation and Accountability. In conclusion, From the previous analysis and normative protection principles, the following alternatives are presented for the privacy protection a. use limitation of resident registration number and revision of the resident registration number system. b. establishment of personal information protective organization which can independently determine personal information protective action and policy. c. government faith restoration to the resident registration system

Corruption must be a serious social problem that deteriorates trust in government and increases social expenses. The conventional approach to the corruption problems was not an easy task as shown in the continued reform failures. This study examines the e-government drive that is suggested as a new direction to solve corruption problems: increase in the freedom of administrative information, increasing transparency, and having more resident participation due to the development of information communications technology. Accordingly, it analyzes the actual conditions on the public official's awareness of corruption that is shown in the e-government drive. To make an analysis, theoretical reviews on the anticorruption factors of e-government are made and a survey was conducted targeted at public officials at Cheongju-si city government. As a result, increasing transparency was found to be the most important factor in decreasing corruption.
