A muscle-specific lipase gene of the bumblebee Bombus ignitus was cloned and characterized. This gene, which we named Bi-Lipase, consists of seven exons encoding 317 amino acid residues. Bi-Lipase possesses all the features of lipases, including GXSXG consensus motif and Ser-Asp-His catalytic triad. Expressed as a 37-kDa polypeptide in baculovirus-infected insect Sf9 cells, recombinant Bi-Lipase showed an optimal pH of 9.0 and exhibited its highest catalytic activity at 40℃. Furthermore, through the addition of tunicamycin to the recombinant virus-infected Sf9 cells, recombinant Bi-Lipase was found to be N-glycosylated. Northern and western blot analyses indicated that Bi-Lipase was expressed in the wing, thorax, and leg muscles. These results show that Bi-Lipase is a muscle-specific lipase, suggesting a possible role of Bi-Lipase in the utilization of lipids for muscular activity in B. ignitus.

In this paper, the airflow around an ideal thin plate (hereafter referred to as ITP) with various ratios of central slot is simulated by using the finite-difference-method (FDM)-based Arbitrary-Lagrangian-Eulerian descriptions for the rigid oscillating body. The numerical procedure employs the second-order projection scheme to decouple the governing equations, and the multigrid algorithm with three levels to improve the computational efficiency in evaluating of the pressure equation. The present CFD method is validated through comparing the computed flutter derivatives of the ITP without slot to Theodorsen analytical solutions. Then, the unsteady aerodynamics of the ITP with and without central slot is investigated. It is found that even a smaller ratio of central slot of the ITP has notable effects on pressure distributions of the downstream section, and the pressure distributions on the downstream section will further be significantly affected by the slot ratio and the reduced wind speeds. Continuous increase of with the increase of central slot may be the key feature of the slotted ITP. Finally, flutter analyses based on the flutter derivatives of the slotted ITP are performed, and moreover, flutter instabilities of a scaled sectional model of a twin-deck bridge with various ratios of deck slot are investigated. The results confirm that the central slot is effective to improve bridge flutter stabilities, and that the flutter critical wind speeds increase with the increase of slot ratio.
Electroless plating of Co―Zn―P thin film onto nanodiamond cores
Zhi Xiang Zheng,Rui Wang,Chun Ming Wang 한국물리학회 2011 Current Applied Physics Vol.11 No.2
The purpose of this article is to introduce the Co―Zn―P film coated on the nanodiamond cores by electroless deposition. The surface morphology, composition and magnetic performance of the coatings are studied with the help of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), an energy dispersive X-ray detector (EDX) and the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The results showed that the change of film composition and magnetic characteristics were dependant on the content of Cobalt, Zinc and Phosphorus. Evidently the coercive force was affected by the atomic composition of alloy film While the best proportion (the optimal composition mass ratio of Cobalt and Zinc was 1:4) in alloy film, the alloy film has good electromagnetic properties, even though the Phosphorus wt.%≥3%.

The α-gliadins from Crithopsis delileana (Schult) Roshev (2n=2x=14, KK) were investigated by Acid polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (A-PAGE) analysis. It was indicated that the electrophoresis mobility of gliadins from C.delileana had obvious difference with those from common wheat in α, γand ω region. Using primers designed from published sequences of α-gliadin genes, three α-gliadin genes were isolated from C. delileana, which were designated as gli-ka1,gli-ka2 and gli-ka3, respectively. Two in-frame stop codons were found in the coding sequences of gli-ka3, indicating that gli-ka3 could be a pseudogene. The gli-ka2 was a gliadin with an odd number of cysteines, resulting from a non-synonymous mutation. This change might lead to the interactive behavior of gli-ka2. Three α-gliadin genes of C. delileana had the similar but not identical primary structures to the corresponding gene sequences from other wheat related species. By the alignment of α-gliadin genes from Triticeae, phylogenetic analysis indicated that three α-gliadin genes of C. delileana clustered together with all α-gliadin genes from Ee genome of Lophopyrum elongatum by an interior paralleled branch.

By acid polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (A-PAGE) analysis,it was indicated that the electrophoresis mobility of gliadins from Crithopsis delileana (Schult) Roshev (2n=2x=14,KK) had obvious difference with those from common wheat in α, γ and ω region. Using homologous primers, two γ-gliadin genes (gli-Kr1 and gli-Kr2) were isolated from C. delileana, which had been deposited in the GenBank under accession numbers EU283818 and EU283821, respectively. Two γ-gliadin genes of C. delileana had the similar primary structures to the corresponding gene sequences from other wheat related species. The differences were mainly resulted from substitutions, insertions and deletions involving single amino acid residues or motifs of γ-gliadins. The repetitive domains of gli-Kr1 and gli-Kr2 from C. delileana are shorter than most of other sequences. By the alignment of γ-gliadin genes from A, B, D, Am, Au, S, Sl, Ssh, Ss and Sb genomes of Triticum and Aegilops, R genome of Secale (γ-secalin), Ee genome of Lophopyrum and K genome of Crithopsis in Triticeae, phylogenetic analysis indicated that two γ-gliadin genes of C. delileana could be clustered together with a γ-gliadin genefrom Ssh genome of Aegilops by an interior paralleled branch. It was the first time that the γ-gliadin genes encoded by K genome of C. delileana were characterized. These could offer precious information for better understanding the qualities associated with gliadins, the response in coeliac disease and studying the evolutionary relationship of gliadins in Triticeae.

This paper addresses the stability analysis and dynamic output-feedback control problems for a class of nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with multiple subsystems and normalized membership functions. First, the switching control law of the membership function is proposed based on the membership function for the nonlinear T-S fuzzy subsystems. Secondly, the relaxation parameter is introduced into this switching control law to guarantee a minimal dwell time between two consecutive switching. Then, based on the proposed switching control law of the membership function and relaxation parameter, the dynamic output feedback controller with the estimate algorithm is designed to estimate the attraction domain. By introducing the new switched Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, it can be seen that the solutions of the resultant closed-loop system converge to an adjustable bounded region. Compared with the previous works, the developed controller in this paper is flexible and smooth, which only uses the system output. And the results are further extended to the mobile robot case and the chemical process case. Finally, two simulation examples are performed to show the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

This paper addresses the trajectory tracking and obstacle avoidance control problems for a class ofmobile robot systems. Two classes of controllers are designed for the mobile robot system in the free motion, respectively. A new hybrid position virtual-force controller is designed to adjust the distance between the mobilerobot and the obstacles. Since the uncertainties between the mobile robot dynamics model and obstacles degradethe performance of the obstacle avoidance system, a multi-layer feed-forward neural networks (NNs) deep learningmethod with hybrid position and virtual-force is proposed, such that the distance between the mobile robot andthe obstacles converges to an adjustable bounded region. It is shown that the proposed controller in this paperis smooth, effective, and only uses the system output. The control design conditions are relaxed because of thedeveloped multi-layer feed-forward NNs deep learning compensator. The simulation results and obstacle avoidancecases are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
