        Software component is one of the key technologies, which has goals to improve the productivity and the quality of software development. Recently, many enterprises try to introduce component technologies for efficient management of legacy software, fixing systematic process of software development, and cost reduction. In this paper, we propose a component development process for the component software assembled with Enterprise Java Beans components and J2EE patterns. also our proposal includes datail activities and instruction for each phase.

        추간공 경유 경막외 차단술 환자의 합병증에 대한 조사 연구

        Objective: To study on the incidence of complications from C-arm guided lumbar transforarninal epidural injections in patients with radiculopathy caused by either lumbar spinal stenosis or herniated intervertebral disc. Materials & Methods: A total of 1200 patients with back/leg pain for more 3 months and received therapeutic injections in recent 1-year period was evaluated. All procedures were performed by one neurosurgeon with careful monitoring by nursing staffs during and after the procedures. Two party observers reviewed medical charts including immediate postprocedure complications using standardized questionnaire. Results: Average 1.9 injections per patient were done. Complications per injection seen included 12 transient headaches (0.9%), 5 increased back pain(0.4%), 4 increased leg pain(0.3%), 4 facial flushing(0.3%), 2 increased blood sugar in an insulin-dependent diabetic(0.2%), I vasovagal reaction(0.08%), and I hypertension(0.08%). All of these complications resolved within several hours to 2 weeks and there were no need for further specific management. There were no major or permanent complications. The incidence of minor complications was 2.3% per injection. All reactions resolved without morbidity. Conclusion: Although effectiveness varies with different pathologies, the C-arm guided lumbar transforaminal epidural injection seems to be a safe and effective procedure for these patients when carefully performed and closely observed with appropriate nursing care.

      • 고주파 해저면 반사손실의 주파수 종속성 측정

        During the last several decades, although there have been lots of efforts to develope the high-frequency bottom reflection loss model, the frequency dependence of bottom loss was not considered in most cases because the sea bottom was assumed to be generally much smoother and lower gradient than the sea surface. However, if the sea bottom is rougher than acoustic wavelength, the scattered field will be increased and the reflected field will be decreased. In this paper, the high-frequency bottom reflection losses were obtained through the measurement of reflected waves from the artificially-made-flat sandy bottom. The experimental data were compared with the values calculated by the forward loss model of Mourad & Jackson. Conseouently, we suggest the frequency dependence of bottom reflection loss. 기존 해저면 반사손실 모델들은 해저면을 해수면에 비해 거칠기와 경사도가 매우 평탄하거나 완만한 경계면으로 가정하므로 주파수에 따른변화를 고려하지 않거나 미약하다고 가정하였다. 그러나 고주파를 사용하는 소오나 시스템의 경우, 음파의 파장에 비해 해저면이 거칠다면 음파는 산란 영향이 증가하게 되므로 상대적으로 반사손실 또한 증가하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 임의로 모의된 사질 성분의 해저면에서 수십 ㎑ 이상의 고주파들을 사용하여 주파수별 반사손실을 계산하고, 이를 기존의 해저면 반사손실 모델과 비교하였으며, 해저면 반사손실의 주파수 종속성을 제시하고자 한다.

      • Halothane 마취중 Vecuronium과 Pancuronium 투여가 심혈관계 및 회복시간에 미치는 영향

        This study was taken to abserve the effect on cardiovascular response and recovery time with pancuronium and vecuronium. The patients was composed of 20 healthly both sex adults who belong to class I of ASA physical status. Vecuronium 0.1mg/kg(N=10) and pancuronium 0.1mg/kg(N=10) was injected independently at 20 minutes after intubation by succinylcholine 1mg/kg and thiopental sodium. The results were as follow. 1. There were not a significant difference in arterial blood pressure and pulse rate before and after vecuronium injection. 2. After pancuronium administration, arterial blood pressure was not significant change but pulse rate showed significant increasing. 3. In the recovery time when T_1 was recovered to 25% after administration of muscle relaxants respectively, there were 26±7.2 min, vecuronium and 67±11.2 min, in pancuronium. 3. EKG was not change before and after vecuronium.

        한국인 정상교합자의 3차원 디지털 모형을 이용한 순,협측 치면 곡률

        본 연구는 한국인의 치아형태에 적합한 브라켓 베이스를 만들기 위해 임상 치관의 순, 협측 곡률을 3차원적으로 계측하여 치관의 곡률 자료를 얻고자 하였다. 정상적인 해부학적 형태를 가지는 구강모형 30쌍을 3차원 디지털 모델로 제작한 후, FA점을 기준으로 수평 기준면과 수직 기준면을 설정하였다. 이 기준면에 대한 치면의 곡선을 형성한 후, 곡률을 이차방정식의 계수로 표현하였다. 수평면과 수직면의 곡률과 FA점을 기준으로 근심과 원심, 치은측과 교합면측의 곡률을 측정한 결과, 상악견치와 상악 제2소구치 외에는 남녀간 치면 곡률의 유의한 차이가 없었다. 하악 측절치, 상악 견치, 상하악 제1, 2소구치와 제1대구치에서 근원심 또는 치은교합면측 치면 곡률의 유의한 차이가 관찰되었다 (P < 0.05). 본 연구에서 얻어진 순, 협측 치면의 곡률 자료는 한국인의 치아 형태에 적합한 Straight Wire Appliance 개발의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다. Objective: This study was performed to investigate the labio/buccal clinical crown curvatures of Korean permanent teeth and to obtain the curve-ratio data in an attempt to fabricate bracket bases fit for each individual Korean permanent tooth. Methods: Three-dimensional digital models were made from 30 sets of dental casts with normal anatomic structures. According to the FA points, horizontal and vertical reference planes were established and lines were drawn on the tooth surfaces in reference to these planes. The curvature was expressed as the coefficient of a quadratic equation. Lines mesial, distal, gingival and occlusal to the horizontal, vertical reference planes and the FA point were drawn. Results: The curvature measured for each line revealed that there are no significant differences between male and female, except for maxillary canines and maxillary second bicuspids (P > 0.05). There were notable differences in the mesio-distal or gingivo-occlusal curvatures among the mandibular lateral incisors, maxillary canines, maxillary and mandibular first and second bicuspids and first molars (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The labial & buccal crown curvatures of teeth in Korean normal occlusion were measured on the mesial and distal, gingival and occlusal sides respectively in this study. Based on these data, a SWA can be developed to fit the individual features of Korean tooth crowns.

        On Achieving the Optimal Performance of FDL Buffers Using Burst Assembly

        <P>This letter proposes a new dynamic burst length adjustment mechanism to achieve optimal performance of fiber delay line (FDL) buffers in optical burst switching networks. Our results show that burst blocking probability at an optical node with a fixed length FDL buffer can be kept at minimum under changing traffic conditions using the proposed mechanism.</P>

        Effects of CYP2D6 genetic polymorphism on the pharmacokinetics of metoclopramide

        Metoclopramide inhibits the central and peripheralD2receptors and is frequently prescribed in adults andchildren as an antiemetic or a prokinetic drug to controlsymptoms of upper gastrointestinal motor disorders. Metoclopramideis predominantly metabolized via N-dealkylationand it is primarily mediated by CYP2D6 which is highlypolymorphic. Thus, the effects of CYP2D6 genetic polymorphismon the pharmacokinetics of metoclopramide wereevaluated in this study. All volunteers were genotyped forCYP2D6 and divided into four different genotype groups(CYP2D6*wt/*wt [*wt = *1 or *2], CYP2D6*wt/*10,CYP2D6*10/*10, and CYP2D6*5/*10). Each subjectreceived a single oral dose of metoclopramide 10 mg. Plasma concentrations of metoclopramide were measuredby using HPLC-UV. Compared to CYP2D6*wt/*wt, AUC infof CYP2D6*wt/*10, CYP2D6*10/*10, and CYP2D6*5/*10significantly increased by 1.5-, 2.3-, and 2.5-fold, respectively. Cmaxalso increased significantly in comparison toCYP2D6*wt/*wt across all genotype groups, with 1.5-, 1.7-, and 1.7-fold increases seen in CYP2D6*wt/*10,CYP2D6*10/*10, and CYP2D6*5/*10 groups, respectively. The CL/F of metoclopramide decreased in CYP2D6 genotypegroups with decreased function alleles, as decreasesof 37%, 56% and 61% were observed in CYP2D6*wt/10,*10/10, and *5/*10 genotype groups in comparison to theCYP2D6*wt/*wt group. In conclusion, the genetic polymorphismsof CYP2D6 significantly affected metoclopramidepharmacokinetics.

        Reliability Modeling of Direct Current Power Feeding Systems for Green Data Center

        Data center is an information hub and resource for information-centric society. Since data center houses hundreds to ten thousands servers, networking and communication equipment, and supporting systems energy saving is one of the hottest issues for green data center. Among several solutions for green data center this paper introduces higher voltage direct current (DC) power feeding system. Contrary to legacy alternating current (AC) power feeding system equipped with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), higher voltage DC power feeding system is reported to be a more energy efficient and reliable solution for green data center thanks to less AC/DC and DC/AC conversions. Main focus of this paper is on reliability issue for reliable and continuous operation of higher voltage DC power feeding system. We present different types of configuration of the power feeding systems according to the level of reliability. We analyze the reliability of the power feeding systems based on M/M/1/N+1/N+1 queueing model. Operation of the power feeding system in case of failure is also presented.
