        플라톤 사상이 근대 천문학 탄생 과정에 끼친 영향

        The effects of the Platonic ideas in the Procedures of the Modern Astronomy Birth Im, Jin-Yong So far the study of the effects of the Platonic ideas in the procedures of the modern astronomy birth has been superficial. The purpose of this study is to understand the effects of the Platonic ideas on the modern astronomy. But it is not concerned here with mathematical parts. Only what I wish to show in this study is the context of the thinking about the universe from the ancient Greek Ages to the terminal Renaissance. The Platonic ideas on the universe are more geometrical and harmonic than any other ideas. The characteristics of the Platonic ideas assimilated with Christianity in the Middle Ages. But those ideas took a position against the Aristotle`s ideas which had filled the role of the standard of the studies in the Middle Ages. The rebirth of the Platonic ideas in the Middle Ages was not original, that is to say Neo-Platonism. Because it dealed with more various parts, The Neo-Platonism was different from the original Platonic ideas. The Neo-Platonism expelled the Aristotle`s theories from the astronomical region. Therefore The Neo-Platonism commuted the non-geometrical standpoint into the geometrical standpoint in the interpretation of the universe. The Neo-Platonism inspired the ideas for the interpretation of the universe in Copernicus and Kepler. Specially the geometrical methods was very important and necessary for constructing the model of the solar system and the universe. The Neo-Platonic books provided the ideas(a geometry, musical chords, a notion of anima mundi, a notion of the infinite universe, etc) for creating the heliocentric system with the Renaissance astronomers. Thus the Platonism played a key functional role in the birth of the modern astronomy.

        아동소비자의 소비행태에 관한 연구 : 부산광역시 초등학생을 중심으로

        This study investigated elementary school students' propensity to consume with regard to their daily life as a consumer and their desire for consumption, and the modelling for consumption by their parents. This study used quantitative methods to evaluate the propensity for consumption. Quantitative data included twenty-three questionnaires, a basic survey to get an idea of the students' tendency toward consumption, a survey to discover whether they keep their pocket money accounts or not, and a survey to find out how much money they are usually given and how they spend their money. Four hypotheses were tested on the basis of the responses from the twenty three questionnaires. The data was analyzed statistically with SAS and the results were confirmed by x² after cross-analysis indicated significant differences among the variations. This study was a significant difference between the students whose parents kept a household accounts, and those students whose parents did not. Thus parental modelling seems to have a significant effect on their children's behavior. Students who had some parental guidance in consumer education showed systematic reasonable standards for choosing when buying something, compared with students without parental guidance. Thus, parental behaviors seemed to positively effect their children's behaviors toward consumption. And in the times of information, as change of purchasing attitude conveniently and rationally so Internet or TV home shopping is enlarged rapidly. The analysis is Internet shopping on line system parents buying goods by on-line shopping is related to their son and daughter very closely. It is therefore suggested that: First, parents can be important models for their children's consumption habits, and so parents should be made aware of this. Especially, in case of Internet shopping. Second, students should be encouraged by an effective consumption education for a better attitude and sense of value toward spending and consumption. Third, parents have a responsibility to guide their children's pocket money management, saving, and purchasing tendencies. To protect children's consumption we must prepare legally and systematically safety facilities. This study tried to find an improved direction in consumer education and to show relationships between the elementary school students' consumption behaviors and related variations.

        Risk Based Inspection 기법을 이용한 화학공장의 안전성 향상에 관한 연구

        The RBI technique proposed by API is composed of three steps. The qualitative RBI method can be used for the purpose of screening the components with high risk. And, the quantitative RBI method employs complex risk evaluation model for predicting component risk in a quantitative manner. The inspection program can be optimized based on the results obtained by these RBI technique. The forementioned RBI technique has been applied to a common hydrodesulfurizer unit and the technique is critically evaluated for studying its benefits and limitations, which is the main issue of this thesis. It's conducted that the RBI method can provide a method for defining and measuring the component risk, and also provide a powerful tool for managing many of the important elements of a process plant.

      • 난소 임신 10예의 분석

        Ovarian pregnancy is an uncommon form of the ectopic pregnancies. The ovarian vascularity results in maternal hemorrhage early in the first trimester, which disrupts the pregnancy and usually ruptures the ovary with sufficient hemoperitoneum to require emergency operation. This report presents 10 cases of ovarian pregnancy by retrospective review between January 1986 and December 1995 at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Soonchunhyang University Hospital. There was 19,849 deliveries and 637 ectopic pregnancies during same period. It showed that the incidence of ovarian pregnancy was 3.21 % of all ectopic pregnancies. The clinical features of ovarian pregnancy revealed that abdominal pain was the major symptom, and history of amenorrhea was obscure. Because of life-threatening course, the early diagnosis and treatment of ovarian pregnancy is important. The clinical diagnosis of ovarian pregnancy was more difficult than that of tubal pregnancy.

        An active micro-mixer, which is composed of an oscillating micro-stirrer in the micro-channel to provide effective mixing was optimized. The effects of molecular diffusion and disturbance by the stirrer were considered with regard to two types of mixer models: the simple straight micro-channel and micro-channel with an oscillating stirrer. Two types of mixer models were studied by analyzing mixing behaviors such as their interaction after the stirrer. The mixing was calculated by Lattice Boltzmann methods using the D2Q9 model. In this study, the time-averaged mixing index formula was used to estimate the mixing performance of time-dependent flow. The mixing indices of the two models were compared. From the results, it was found that the mixer with an oscillating stirrer was much more enhanced' and stabilized. Therefore, an approximate optimization of an active micro-mixer with an oscillating stirrer was performed using Kriging method with OLHD (Optimal Latin Hypercube Design) in order to determine the optimal design variables. The design parameters were established as the frequency, the length and the angle of the stirrer. The optimal values were obtained as 1.5754, 0.803D and ±45°, respectively. It was found that the mixing index of the optimal design increased by 83.36% compared with that of the original design.

      • Gerbera(Gerbera hybrida Hort)의 형태적 특징과 유전적 유연관계 분석

        This study was conducted to analyze the morphological characteristics and genetic relationships among 24 species of Gerbera. Most of flower colors were pink. The numerical order of flower color was pink, orange, red, double-colored, and milk-white. Majority of flower types were single or semidouble flowers. A few species were double flowers. Flower diameters were from 7cm to 12cm, showed significant differences compared to other characteristics. Flower stalks were ranged from 55cm to 65cm. Only one species was the shortest as 55cm. The others were similar size as about 65cm. Main annual production yields were between 190 and 400 blossoms. Fifty seven reproducible polymorphic bands from eighty primers were used for analyses of genetic similarity. The genetic similarity of 24 collected Gerberas was largely classified into five groups. The average similarity coefficient was 0.72 ranged from 0.50 to 0.90. The highest similarity coefficient was shown between 'Sardana' with red/white flower color and double flower type, and 'Tamara' with orange flower color and double flower type as 0.90.

      • 만성 간질환에 대한 DDB(Biphenyl Dimethyl Dicaboxylate)의 임상적 효과

        To investigate the effects of short-term administration of DDB(Biphenyl Dimethyl Dicarboxylate) for decreasing elevated serum aminotransferase levels in chronic liver diseases, authors applied 3 capsules of DDB per day at each meal time for 35 patients and compared with 35 patients treated with other conservative management. The following results were obtained. 1. Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels significantly decreased from 247.1± 180.0 IU/L of pretreatment level to 96.6±126.0 IU/L, 61.1±62.7 IU/L and 38.0±26.8 IU/L after 1, 3 and 6 months of treatment(p<0.05) and effective rates were observed in 60.0%, 71.4% and 88.6% of patients after 1, 3 and 6 months of treatment. 2. Serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels decreased also significantly from 167.8±96.9 IU/L of pretreatment levels to 124.4±155.0 IU/L, 77.9±49.6 IU/L, 60.6± 46.9 IU/L after 1, 3 and 6 months of treatment(p<0.05), but decreasing pattern of serum AST was less significant than that of serum ALT. 3. No significant difference were observed in the serum ALT and AST changes according to the cause and duration of hepatitis. 4. No significant adverse effects were observed in whole patients treated with DDB. It is suggested that small dose administration of DDB is effective for decreasing serum aminotrans ferase levels in chronic liver disease in which other conservative management was not effective.

      • 고등어부시의 제조에 관한 연구 : 1. 제조중의 정미성분의 변화

        Mackerel-bushi was manufactured as a natural flavoring substance and in each processing step the taste compounds including nucleotides and their related copmounds. free amino acids, non-volatile organic acids, trimethylamine oxide, trimethylamhe and betaine were determined. IMP and inosine were abundant in Mackerel-bushi which marked 465.3㎎/l00g and 465.7㎎/l00g on dry basis while ADP was trace in content. 17 species of free amino acids were isolated and identified from the extracts of raw material and its products. The abun-dant amino acids in the extracts were lysine, taurine, phenylalanine and alanine, and those were consisted of 65.8~80.7% of the total free amino acids while isoleucine, aspartic acid, tyrosine and leucine were poor, and glycine was trace in content. Citric and lactic acids were 95% of total nonvolatile organic acids, and malonic, oxalic and α-ketoglutaric acids were poor. The content of TMAO and TMA in the extract of Mackerel-bushi were 11.9㎎/l0g and 13.5㎎/100g on dry basis and that of betaine was 93.1㎎/100g. The major minerals were Ca. Na. K. and Mg.

        In addition to the development of functional cosmetics, technology to increase percutaneous absorption rate when applied to the skin is an important task. In this experiment, oleic acid was used as a skin absorption promoter, and its effect on transdermal permeability of adenosine was studied and analyzed using a skin-like membrane. As a result of the experiment, it was investigated that the permeability coefficient and concentration of adenosine are proportional to the content of oleic acid. This indicates that a high proportion of oleic acid is effective as a skin absorption promoter.
