        In order to investigate reattachment point and reattachment distance in the wall Attachment Amplifier having splitter, Splitter distance L/W was constantly set. Varing off set distance D/W=2.5, 4, 5.7 and Side wall angle α=20˚,30˚,40˚, Experimental values were compared with theortical values. The Following results are obtained. 1)Increasing of offset distance and side wall angle, pressure inside Bubble become high ad Reattachment distance X??/W increase. 2)pressure coefficient of reattachment becomes negative in the case of having splitter. 3)Reattachment distance X??/W Values decrease compared with theoretical values when splitter is with in the critical splitter distance.

        신규 살균제 KNF 1002의 오이 및 고추 중 잔류특성

        Methoxyacrylate계 신규 살균제 KNF 1002의 오이, 고추 및 고춧잎에 대한 잔류 양상을 조사하기 위하여 포장시험을 수행하였다. HPLC-DAD에 의한 KNF 1002의 잔류분석시 최소검출량은 오이 및 고추에서 2.0 ng 그리고 고춧잎에서는 2.5 ng이었으며, 검출한계는 오이 및 고추에서 0.02 mg/kg 그리고 고춧잎에서 0.05 mg/kg 이었다. 오이에서의 잔류량은 1회 및 2회 처리하여 1일에서 7일후에 채취된 시료에서 2.0 mg/kg에서 검출한계 미만으로 나타났다. 고추에서의 잔류량은 시설재배지의 경우 최고 0.79 mg/kg에서 0.31 mg/kg 수준으로 나타났다. 노지재배의 경우에는 0.47 mg/kg에서 0.11 mg/kg으로 나타나 시설재배의 47% 수준의 잔류량을 보였다. 고춧잎에서는 시설재배지의 경우 최고 25.20 mg/kg에서 7.38 mg/kg으로 나타났으며 노지재배의 경우에는 1.99 mg/kg에서 0.11 mg/kg 수준으로 나타나 시설재배에 비해서 6.2%정도의 잔류량을 보였다. This study was conducted to evaluate the terminal residue of a new fungicide, KNF 1002, in cucumber and pepper under greenhouse and field conditions. When a microemulsion formulation (20%) of KNF 1002 was applied once or twice during 1-7 days before harvest, its terminal residue in cucumber ranged <0.02-0.20 ㎎/㎏ under greenhouse condition. In pepper, its figure recorded 0.31-0.79 ㎎/㎏ and 0.11-0.28 ㎎/㎏ under greenhouse and field conditions, respectively. Much higher level of terminal residues was observed in leaves than those in fruits in pepper, showing 7.38-25.20 ㎎㎏ and 0.11-1.99 ㎎㎏ under greenhouse and field conditions, respectively. Cultivation condition affected evidently the residue level in pepper harvests. Residual pattern of KNF 1002 seemed to be comparable to strobilurin fungicides currently used.

        The rice bran produced in the process of rice milling is only ingredient of edible oil and fat in Korea. If and when the rice bran is left negligently for a long time, a good quality of edible oil cannot be obtained. It is not only because the loss of the rice bran is resulted in the process of refining from starch degeneration, discoloration, and generation of free fatty acid or unsaponifiable matter but because the decolorization processing becomes much more difficult. In this connection, the experiment on the decolorization of the high acid value rice bran oil was made with clay. Although remarkable results were not yielded, continuous research is needed. If successful, it will contribute to the development of domestic medical ingredients with consequent extraction and refining of orizanol or inositol etc.

      • Investigation of Low-Frequency Noise Properties in High-Mobility ZnON Thin-Film Transistors

        <P>We investigate the low-frequency noise (LFN) properties of amorphous zinc oxynitride (a-ZnON) thin-film transistors (TFTs) exhibiting high field-effect mobilities ranging from 48.5 to 118.9 cm<SUP>2</SUP>/V · s, depending on the gas flow rates during the deposition process. The measured noise power spectral density of the drain current shows that the LFN in a-ZnON TFTs obeys the classical 1/f noise theory, i.e., it is proportional to 1/f <SUP>γ</SUP> with γ~1 in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 1 kHz. The LFN from the a-ZnON TFT is successfully interpreted by the correlated number fluctuation-mobility fluctuation model. The near-interface dielectric trap density (Nτ) and the Coulomb scattering coefficient (α<SUB>S</SUB>) extracted from the measured LFN in a-ZnON TFTs are similar to those from the previously reported values for amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide TFTs. The relatively large values of N<SUB>T</SUB> and α<SUB>S</SUB> from the a-ZnON TFTs formed under O<SUB>2</SUB>-rich environment are mainly attributed to the high degree of disorder of the a-ZnON channel layer caused by the energetically broad and high density of subgap tail states.</P>

        A large scale seeding system was stable in terms of techniques but a convenient seeding system of small size was unsettled. This study was performed to develop a semi-automatic seeder for small and medium sized scale farm. To investigate optimum needle diameter and vacuum pressure was used vacuum suction needle seeder. Although the needle diameter according to the kinds of seed was different, the needle diameter for salvia and lettuce seed was suitable for 0.34 mm needle nozzle and 0.4 mm taper nozzle. The prototype consisted a seeding frame attached with needle nozzle, seed hopper, vibrating device, seeding part, vacuum ejector, seed tube etc.. As the result with the experiments, the seeding rate of the seeder was 92% and more at 0.34 mm diameter needle nozzle and 0.4 mm taper nozzle. Eccentric weight for seed hopper vibration was suitable that weight is 11 g and eccentric distance is 0.5 mm. Vibration acceleration of upward direction was 0.363 m/s2. Working capacity of the seeder was possible 160 trays per hour. It was possible for sowing small seeds but it was required to make compact and simple model.

        광원 조사기간이 상추생육에 미치는 영향

        The objective of this study is to observe growth pattern of grand rapids(lettuce) according to different experimental conditions for minimizing its growth period such as composition of nutrient, irradiation time of light source and cultivation mode. The culture of water spray type using seeds of grand rapids was performed during growth period of total 50 days. Experimental conditions consist of five compositions of nutrient (PW 0.5 mS/㎝, PW 1.0 mS/㎝, PY 0.5 mS/㎝, PY 1.0 mS/㎝, PW 2.0 mS/㎝) and three irradiation times of light source (12h(on) / 12h(off), 18h(on) / 06h(off), 24h(on) / 00h(off)). Illumination was adjusted to ratio of 7:1:1 of red, blue and white color, respectively. Indoor environmental condition for cultivating grand rapids is as follows: temperature (19-22℃), relative humidity (60-70%) and carbon dioxide (1,000-1,200 ppm). The data were obtained from five iteration tests. The maximum growth level was observed in the experimental condition of 18 hr(on) / 06 hr(off) and PY 1 mS/㎝ for 1st week of cultivation period, 24 hr(on) / 00 hr(off) and PY 1mS/㎝ for 2nd week of cultivation period, and 24 hr(on) / 00hr(off) and PW 1 mS/㎝ for 3rd week of cultivation period, respectively. On the contrary, the minimum growth level was observed in the experimental condition of 18 hr(on) / 06 hr(off) and PW 0.5 mS/cm for 1st week of cultivation period, 12 hr(on) / 12 hr(off) and PW 0.5 mS/㎝ for 2nd week of cultivation period, and 12 hr(on) / 12 hr(off) and PY 0.5 mS/㎝ for 3rd week of cultivation period, respectively. Based on the results obtained from this study, it is concluded that the growth level of grand rapids varied with different irradiation time of light source and composition ratio of nutrient according to cultivation period.

      • Identification of h-ras-specific motif for the activation of invasive signaling program in human breast epithelial cells.

        <P>Increased expression and/or activation of H-Ras are often associated with tumor aggressiveness in breast cancer. Previously, we showed that H-Ras, but not N-Ras, induces MCF10A human breast epithelial cell invasion and migration, whereas both H-Ras and N-Ras induce cell proliferation and phenotypic transformation. In an attempt to determine the sequence requirement directing the divergent phenotype induced by H-Ras and N-Ras with a focus on the induction of human breast cell invasion, we investigated the structural and functional relationships between H-Ras and N-Ras using domain-swap and site-directed mutagenesis approaches. Here, we report that the hypervariable region (HVR), consisting of amino acids 166 to 189 in H-Ras, determines the invasive/migratory signaling program as shown by the exchange of invasive phenotype by swapping HVR sequences between H-Ras and N-Ras. We also demonstrate that the H-Ras-specific additional palmitoylation site at Cys184 is not responsible for the signaling events that distinguish between H-Ras and N-Ras. Importantly, this work identifies the C-terminal HVR, especially the flexible linker domain with two consecutive proline residues Pro173 and Pro174, as a critical domain that contributes to activation of H-Ras and its invasive potential in human breast epithelial cells. The present study sheds light on the structural basis for the Ras isoform-specific invasive program of breast epithelial cells, providing information for the development of agents that specifically target invasion-related H-Ras pathways in human cancer.</P>

        Remifentanil Protects Human Keratinocyte Through Autophagic Expression

        Background: Remifentanil, an ultra-short-acting mu-opioid receptor agonist, is unique from other opioids because of its esterase-based metabolism, minimal accumulation, and very rapid onset and offset of clinical action. Remifentanil can prevent the inflammatory response and can suppress inducible nitric oxide synthase expression in a septic mouse model. However, the effects of remifentanil on human keratinocyte and autophagy have yet to be fully elucidated during hypoxia-reoxygenation. Here we investigated whether remifentanil confers protective effect against hypoxia-reoxygenation in human keratinocyte and, if so, whether autophagy mediates this effect. Methods: The human keratinocytes were cultured under 1% oxygen tension. The cells were gassed with 94% $N_2$, and 5% $CO_2$ and incubated for 24 h at $37^{\circ}C$. To determine whether the administration of affects human keratinocytes hypoxia-reoxygenation injury, cells were then exposed to various concentrations of remifentanil (0.01, 0.1, 0.5 and 1 ng/ml) for 2 h. After remifentanil treatment, to simulate reoxygenation and recovery, the cells were reoxygenated for 12 h at $37^{\circ}C$. Control group did not receive remifentanil treatment. Normoxia group did not receive hypoxia and remifentanil treatment for 36 h. 3-MA group was treated 3-methyladenine (3-MA) for 1h before remifentanil treatment. Cell viability was measured using a quantitative colorimetric assay with MTT, showing the mitochondrial activity of living cells. Cells were stained with fluorescence and analyzed with Western blot analysis to find out any relations with activation of autophagy. Results: Prominent accumulation of autophagic specific staining MDC was observed around the nuclei in RPT group HaCaT cells. Similarly, AO staining, red fluorescent spots appeared in RPT group HaCaT cells, while the Normoxia, control and 3-MA groups showed mainly green cytoplasmic fluorescence. We here examined activation of autophagy related protein under H/R-induced cells by Western blotting analysis. Atg5, Beclin-1, LC3-II (microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 form II) and p62 was elevated in RPT group cells. But they were decreased when autophagy was suppressed by 3-MA (Fig. 5). Conclusions: Although the findings of this study are limited to an in vitro interpretation, we suggest that remifentanil may have a beneficial effect in the recovery of wound from hypoxia-reoxygenation injury.

        <P> We obtained <TEX><TEX>$f_{\rm line} = (351\, 721\, 960\, 559 \pm 39)\ \hbox{kHz}$</TEX> </TEX>, <TEX>$k = 1$</TEX>, as the absolute frequency of <TEX>$F = 4 \rightarrow F^{\prime} = 5$</TEX> transition of cesium <TEX>$\hbox{D}_{2}$</TEX> line by measuring the frequency of an external cavity diode laser (ECDL) locked to the center of the line with frequency modulation transfer technique. The frequency of ECDL was measured by an optical frequency synthesizer based on a 1-GHz femtosecond laser system linked to the hydrogen maser. To increase the <TEX>$S/N$</TEX> ratio of the beat note signal, a distributed Bragg reflector laser was injection locked to one of the optical comb components. </P>
