Two new records of the genus Nola Leach, 1815 (Lepidoptera: Nolidae, Nolinae) from Laos

The genus Nola (Nolidae, Nolinae) was established by Leach (1815), with the Noctua palliola Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775 (a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena cucullatella Linnaeus, 1758) from Vienna, Austria. Nola comprises over 200 species: Africa and western Palearctic approximately described 100 speices (Hacker et al., 2012); Oriental and Eastern Palearctic regions have over 100 species (László et al., 2010; Sasaki et al., 2011; Kononenko and Pinratana, 2013). Two species of the genus Nola Leach; Nola euryzonata (Hampson, 1900) and Nola lucidalis (Walker, 1865), reported for the first time in Laos. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of all the examined species are provided.

In this paper, the finite element method is applied to the calmness simulation of Jeju Harbor. The mild-slope equation as the basic equation if used. The key of this model is that the bottom friction and boundary absorption are imposed. Two numerical computation, rectangular harbor and arbitrary shaped harbor are carried out to show the present study's applicability for the analysis of wave oscillation. These numerical results are compared with the results obtained from the other numerical analysis and experimental data and are in very well agreement. From the application to Jeju Harbor it is seen that wave height is relatively high in 4 pier and 6 pier, and low in 1 pier, 2 pier and 3 pier compared with design manual(MOMAF, 1999).
The Design of Flux Barrier for Improvement of Demagnetization Endurance in BLDC Motor

Generally, the motor inside vehicle is exposed to highly ambient temperature and large vibration according to repeatedly starting and stopping for very short time. So, in this paper, the rotor shape design was performed to improve demagnetization endurance by considering the starting current of the Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor through the Finite Element Method(FEM). As a result, the partial irreversible demagnetization was occurred by starting current at the end of Permanent Magnets of the basic model. To solve this problem, the flux barrier design was performed and the flux on the rotor core was limited. Accordingly, demagnetization endurance and operating characteristics were improved.

Two new species, Stericta jaeshini Kim & Bae, sp. nov. and S. atroaurantiaca Kim & Bae, sp. nov. are described from Laos and Cambodia. About 50 species of the genus Stericta have been recorded from Southeast Asia, but it has not been recorded to occur in Laos and Cambodia previously. We record the presence of this genus in these two countries for the first time in this study. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of examined species are provided.
