      • Distributed Observers for Tracking a Moving Target by Cooperative Multiple Agents with Time Delays

Xiaoli Wang,Yiguang Hong 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.8

This paper is concerned with a leader-follower problem of cooperative multiple agents with a switching interconnection topology and communication delay. Distributed observers are designed for the second-order follower-agents to track a moving target (regarded as an active leader) with unmeasurable velocity and unknown constant input. Dynamic neighbor-based rules, consisting of distributed controllers and observers for the autonomous agents, are developed to keep updating the information of the leader. With the help of an explicitly constructed common Lyapunov function (CLF), it is proved that each agent can track the active leader. Moreover, the tracking error is estimated in a noisy environment and input-to-state stability (ISS) is obtained for the time-delay system.

The Complete Oxidation of Ethanol at Low Temperature over a Novel Pd-Ce/γ-Al2O3-TiO2 Catalyst

Wang, Yanping,Zhao, Jinshuang,Wang, Xiaoli,Li, Zhe,Liu, Pengfei Korean Chemical Society 2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.8

Pd-$Ce/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3-TiO_2$ catalysts were prepared by combined sol-gel and impregnation methods. Transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, $H_2$-temperature-programmed reduction, $O_2$-temperature-programmed desorption, and ethanol oxidation experiments were conducted to determine the properties of the catalysts. Addition of an optimal amount of Ce improved the performance of the $Pd/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3-TiO_2$ catalyst in promoting the complete oxidation of ethanol. The catalyst with 1% Ce exhibited the highest activity, and catalyzed complete oxidation of ethanol at $175^{\circ}C$; its selectivity to $CO_2$ reached 87%. Characterization results show that addition of appropriate amount of Ce could enrich the PdO species, and weaken the Pd-O bonds, thus enhancing oxidation ability of the catalyst. Meanwhile, the introduction of $CeO_2$ could make PdO better dispersed on ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3-TiO_2$, which is beneficial for the improvement of the catalytic oxidation activity.

A Method of Image Identification in Instrumentation

Wang, Xiaoli,Wang, Shilin,Jiang, Baochen Korea Information Processing Society 2018 Journal of information processing systems Vol.14 No.3

Smart city is currently the main direction of development. The automatic management of instrumentation is one task of the smart city. Because there are a lot of old instrumentation in the city that cannot be replaced promptly, how to makes low-cost transformation with Internet of Thing (IoT) becomes a problem. This article gives a low-cost method that can identify code wheel instrument information. This method can effectively identify the information of image as the digital information. Because this method does not require a lot of memory or complicated calculation, it can be deployed on a cheap microcontroller unit (MCU) with low read-only memory (ROM). At the end of this article, test result is given. Using this method to modify the old instrumentation can achieve the automatic management of instrumentation and can help build a smart city.

Event-triggered Stabilization of Linear Time-delay Systems by Static Output Feedback Control

        Xiaoli Wang,Peng Xiang,Wenfeng Hu,Tingwen Huang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.11

In this paper, we study the stabilization problem for a class of linear systems with a time-varying state delay. An event-triggered static output feedback controller is proposed, such that the sampling frequency and the update time of the controller are both lowered. First, we present a novel event-triggering mechanism depending not only on the output but also on an exponential term, with which less sampling is required and Zeno behavior can be excluded at the same time. Some sufficient conditions are then obtained, under which an exponential convergence can be achieved by means of the comparison principle approach. It is further shown that the parameters design can be easily given if the case reduces to the state feedback control. Moreover, two examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the results.

ssc-miR-185 targets cell division cycle 42 and promotes the proliferation of intestinal porcine epithelial cell

        Wang, Wei,Wang, Pengfei,Xie, Kaihui,Luo, Ruirui,Gao, Xiaoli,Yan, Zunqiang,Huang, Xiaoyu,Yang, Qiaoli,Gun, Shuangbao Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2021 Animal Bioscience Vol.34 No.5

Objective: microRNAs (miRNAs) can play a role in a variety of physiological and pathological processes, and their role is achieved by regulating the expression of target genes. Our previous high-throughput sequencing found that ssc-miR-185 plays an important regulatory role in piglet diarrhea, but its specific target genes and functions in intestinal porcine epithelial cell (IPEC-J2) are still unclear. We intended to verify the target relationship between porcine miR-185 and cell division cycle 42 (CDC42) gene in IPEC-J2 and to explore the effect of miR-185 on the proliferation of IPEC-J2 cells. Methods: The TargetScan, miRDB, and miRanda software were used to predict the target genes of porcine miR-185, and CDC42 was selected as a candidate target gene. The CDC42-3' UTR-wild type (WT) and CDC42-3'UTR-mutant type (MUT) segments were successfully cloned into pmirGLO luciferase vector, and the luciferase activity was detected after co-transfection with miR-185 mimics and pmirGLO-CDC42-3'UTR. The expression level of CDC42 was analyzed using quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blot. The proliferation of IPEC-J2 was detected using cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT), and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EdU) assays. Results: Double enzyme digestion and sequencing confirmed that CDC42-3'UTR-WT and CDC42-3'UTR-MUT were successfully cloned into pmirGLO luciferase reporter vector, and the luciferase activity was significantly reduced after co-transfection with miR-185 mimics and CDC42-3'UTR-WT. Further we found that the mRNA and protein expression level of CDC42 were down-regulated after transfection with miR-185 mimics, while the opposite trend was observed after transfection with miR-185 inhibitor (p<0.01). In addition, the CCK-8, MTT, and EdU results demonstrated that miR-185 promotes IPEC-J2 cells proliferation by targeting CDC42. Conclusion: These findings indicate that porcine miR-185 can directly target CDC42 and promote the proliferation of IPEC-J2 cells. However, the detailed regulatory mechanism of miR-185/CDC42 axis in piglets' resistance to diarrhea is yet to be elucidated in further investigation.

PTEN/Akt Signaling-Mediated Activation of the Mitochondrial Pathway Contributes to the 3,3'-Diindolylmethane-Mediated Antitumor Effect in Malignant Melanoma Cells

        Xiaoli Wang,Yueqiang Zhao,Mosheng Yu,Yu Xu 한국식품영양과학회 2020 Journal of medicinal food Vol.23 No.12

3,3′-diindolylmethane (DIM) has an anticancer activity, but the role DIM plays on malignant melanoma cells and its specific mechanism is unclear. We studied the biological effects of DIM on malignant melanoma cells and the related mechanism and the results showed that DIM significantly suppressed cell proliferation and induced apoptosis in malignant melanoma cells. In addition, the expression levels of phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN), Bax, Bid, cleaved caspase-3, and cleaved caspase-9 were increased after DIM treatment. In A2058 PTENmut cells, DIM-mediated inhibition of proliferation and DIM-induced apoptosis were attenuated. Additionally, the overexpression and knockdown of PTEN could regulate such effects of DIM in malignant melanoma cells. Furthermore, DIM exerted growth-inhibiting and apoptosis-inducing effects in vivo. This study demonstrated that DIM has antitumor effect in human malignant melanoma cells through the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway activated by PTEN/Akt signaling.
