        재발성 법랑아세포종 : 증례보고 A CASE REPORT

        Ameloblastoma is most commonly occuring odontogenic tumor in oral cavity. The biologic behavior of this neoplasm is a slowly growing, locally invasive tumor with a high rate of recurrence, therefore malignant neoplasm is defined clinically. Surgical procedures of the ameloblastoma is classified curettage, enucleation, marginal resection, segmental resection, and hemisection. Treatment method, recurrence rate, and prognosis are different depending on the clinical type of ameloblastoma. We experienced recurred ameloblastoma in mandibular edentulous area after conservative operation. This is a report of a case about 41-year-old female patient with recurred ameloblastoma on mandible body treated by marginal resection and autogenous iliac bone graft. We present the case with review of literature.

        혀에 발생한 낭 선종 : A CASE REPORT

        Cystadenoma of the minor salivary glands is a rare benign neoplasm. Characteristic histological features of varying sized cystic spaces with intraluminal papillary projections are diagnostic. However, salivary gland tumor is particularly difficult to interpret. Primarily, as further clinical and histological differential diagnoses have to take into account the mucoepidermoid carcinoma and the papillary cystadenocarcinoma. And also, biologic behavior of this peculiar lesion i uncertain. We report on a 71 year old female with a mucosal lesion at the tongue with its histologic features and differential diagnosis. Post-operative course was uneventful and there was no recurrence sign at this time. However, close follow-up is necessary, because the recurrent cases had been reported in literatures.

        하악골 절제술후 재이식된 돌결자가골 재이식 : 치험 3례

        We described three cases of immediate reimplantation of a frozen-thawed autogenous mandible composed of a mixture of iliac bone, marrow, and particulate hydroxyapatite in tumors of the mandible. Acceptable outcomes were obtained in three patients who underwent immediate autogenous mandibular graft reconstruction. The conditions leading to successful outcome of the procedure are also discussed. Reimplantation of frozen autogenous lesioned mandible was performed in three patients with mandibular tumors. Two reimplanted grafts survived without complications following surgery. One case had postoperative infection that resolved with appropriate antibiotic treatment. There were no recurrences of the primary lesions. Satisfactory facial contour after surgery was achieved. These results are most promising, and we believe that, with further refinement, this technique will offer a new and acceptable modality for facial reconstruction in patients with cancer.

      • The pH-dependent corrosion behavior of ternary oxide semiconductors and common metals and its application for solution-processed oxide thin film transistors circuit integration

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Individual oxide semiconductors and metals experience unique pH-dependent phase-transition into natively stable phases (metal, metal ions, or oxide phases) in various acidic and basic solutions. Thus, the corrosion behavior of oxide semiconductors and metals can be engineered by controlling pH values. In particular, the specific pH value induced interesting corrosion behavior that oxide semiconductor becomes chemically-stable and metal solely experiences active ionization. First, the pH-dependent corrosion behavior of ternary oxide semiconductors [ZnSnO (ZTO) and InZnO (IZO)] and common metals (Mo and Mo/Cu) was explored based on theoretical Pourbaix diagram and experimental corrosion data. Next, the pH-dependent corrosion behavior based back-channel wet-etch (BCWE) process using pH-controlled wet etchants was designed and applied for chemical damage-, metal residue-, and curing treatment-free solution-processed oxide thin film transistors (TFTs) circuit integration without electrical degradation. Thick-Mo and thin-Mo/thick-Cu could be completely ionized without any metal oxide residues in middle-basic (pH ≥ 10) and weak-acidic (pH = 6) wet-etchants, respectively. Chemically durable ZTO in the broad pH region (6 ≤ pH ≤ 11) indicated sufficient potential as channel candidates for the circuit integration of chemical damage-free oxide TFTs as opposed to IZO (pH = 10). Finally, solution-processed ZTO TFTs could be fabricated with wet-etched Mo and Mo/Cu using the customized wet-etchant condition (pH = 10 and 6) without electrical degradation (current-drop, hump phenomena, or instability) that was inevitably generated in a conventional BCWE.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The ternary zinc tin oxide and indium zinc oxide were synthesized via sol-gel process. </LI> <LI> The pH-dependent corrosion behavior of ternary oxides and common metals was examined. </LI> <LI> Oxide film became stable and metal electrode was solely ionized in specific pH value. </LI> <LI> The pH-dependent corrosion behavior based back-channel wet-etch (BCWE) process was developed. </LI> <LI> The developed BCWE process were applied for solution-processed oxide TFTs integration. </LI> </UL> </P>

      • Community Structure and Species Abundance Patterns in Benthic Macroinvertebrates in Urban and Agricutltural Streams

        Benthic macroinvertebrate communities were collected in various streams in agricultural and urban areas in Korea. Community structure and species abundance distribution in benthic macroinvertebrates were comparatively analyzed to reveal ecological states pertaining to the sample sites. Species richness in the total macroinvertebrate communities decreased in the gradient along with increase in the level of pollution. Some selected taxa were present in communities collected in the streams in agricultural areas. The rank-abundance curves were also characteristic in revealing community structure according environmental impact. Patterns of species abundance were efficient in revealing ecological states of the sample sites where physico-chemical indicators may not be easily differentiated in stressful conditions. The feasibility of ecological informatics was further discussed in revealing ecological water quality.

      • Towards environmentally stable solution-processed oxide thin-film transistors: a rare-metal-free oxide-based semiconductor/insulator heterostructure and chemically stable multi-stacking

        <▼1><P>ZTO/Al2O3 heterostructure and chemically stable sol–gel multi-stacking method are proposed for practical solution-processed oxide TFTs.</P></▼1><▼2><P>For practical solution-processed oxide thin-film transistors (TFTs) with cost efficiency, high performance, and long-term environmental reliability, we suggested a novel sol–gel processed rare-metal-free oxide-based semiconductor/insulator [ZnSnO (ZTO)/Al2O3] heterostructure channel and chemically stable sol–gel multi-stacking method. In the rare-metal-free ZTO/Al2O3 heterostructure, an In- and Ga-free ZTO semiconductor with high chemical durability is employed as an effective electron transport layer. An earth-abundant Al2O3 insulator is employed as both an ambient gas molecule barrier in the ZTO back-channel region and a tunneling-induced electron transport layer beneath the source/drain electrodes. In order to minimize inevitable chemical attack coming from acidic and basic precursor solutions during the sol–gel based heterostructure construction, chemically stable sol–gel ZTO/Al2O3 heterostructure stacking was successfully demonstrated with a chemically durable Sn-modulated ZTO semiconductor and weakly corrosive pH-engineered Al2O3 precursor solution. The proposed rare-metal-free ZTO/Al2O3 heterostructure and chemically stable stacking realized sol–gel processed oxide TFT with excellent stability under humidity, temperature, bias voltage, and light exposure. We believe that our novel ZTO/Al2O3 heterostructure and chemically stable sol–gel stacking method will provide an interesting route for the fabrication of practical solution-based oxide TFTs with cost efficiency, high performance, and long-term reliability, instead of conventional rare-metal based oxide materials and channel structures with high environmental instability.</P></▼2>

        전신진동운동이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 보행 능력에 미치는 효과: 메타분석

        본 연구는 뇌졸중 환자에게 전신진동운동을 시행한 선행 연구들을 종합하고 분석하여 전신진동운동이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 보행 능력에 얼마나 효과적인지를 메타분석을 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 문헌 검색을 위한 전자 데이터베이스는 국회도서관, 한국교육학술정보(RISS), 한국학술정보(KISS) 및 누리미디어(DBPIA)를 사용하였다. 2010년 1월 - 2020년 8월까지 뇌졸중 환자에게 적용한 전신진동운동 선행연구를 조사하였다. 연구의 질 평가는 RCT(Randomized Controls Trials) 연구는 Cochrane group이 개발한 Risk of bias 2(RoB2) 도구를 사용하였다. 개별 연구들의 효과크기를 산출하기 위해 R version 4.0.3 프로그램을 이용하였다. 연구 결과는 전체 효과크기는 0.40으로 나타났으며 전신진동운동이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 보행에 중간 정도의 효과가 있다는 것을 확인하였고, 균형의 효과크기는 0.44, 보행의 효과크기는 0.36으로 나타나 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 뇌졸중 환자에게 전신진동운동이 효과적인 중재임을 알 수 있었으며, 더욱 다양한 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각한다. This study was a meta-analysis of previous studies that subjected stroke patients to the whole-body vibration exercise, in an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of such exercise in improving their balance and walking ability. The electronic databases used for literature search were the National Assembly Library, Korean Educational Academic Information (RISS), Korean Academic Information (KISS), and Nuri Media (DBPIA). We also investigated a prior study of the whole-body vibration exercise applied to stroke patients from January 2010 to August 2020. In assessing the quality of the study, the RCT (randomized controls trials) study used the risk of bias 2 (RoB2) tool developed by the Cochrane group. Meta-analysis was performed using R software for statistical computing version 4.0.3. The results of the study confirmed that the overall effect size was 0.40, and the whole-body vibration exercise used had a moderate effect on the balance and gait of stroke patients, the effect size of balance was 0.44, and the effect size of gait was 0.36, showing a positive effect. These results indicated that the whole-body vibration exercise is an effective intervention for stroke patients, and further research is needed.

        진동을 이용한 몸통 근력 운동이 몸통근 두께와 균형에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to verify the effect of trunk strengthening exercise using oscillation by comparing trunk muscle thickness, as well as balance of healthy adults during exercises performed with an oscillatory device and non-oscillatory device. METHODS: Twenty-two participants were randomly assigned to one of two groups: the trunk strengthening exercise using oscillation (TSEO) group (n=11) or the trunk strengthening exercise using non-oscillation (TSEN) group (n=11). Subjects in all groups performed the exercises three days per week for 6 weeks. All subjects performed four types of exercises: pull over, seated twist, power push, and diagonal power plank. Trunk muscle thickness of the rectus abdominis (RA), internal oblique (IO), external oblique (EO), transverse abdominis (TrA), and multifidus (MT) were measured with an ultrasonography. The balance ability were evaluated using the Romberg test with eyes open, eyes closed, one-leg standing test (OLST), and limits of stability (LOS). All tests were performed before the intervention, as well as after 6 weeks and 8 weeks of exercises. RESULTS: There was a significant difference of RA, IO, TrA, and MT according to the main effect of the time (p<.05). There was a significant difference of IO and LOS according to interaction effect between the time and group (p<.05). CONCLUSION: As intended, the cyclic forces induced by the oscillating device did increase trunk muscle thickness. However, the effect was limited and significant only for the IO muscle. Combining trunk strengthening exercise with oscillation appears to be more effective in improving dynamic balance.
