6시그마가 소개된 이후 우리나라에서는 6시그마 추진 단계별로 많은 품질개선도구를 기업에서 사용하여 왔다. 그러나 지금까지 많은 품질개선도구들이 언제, 어떠한 도구들을 사용되는 것이 좋은 것인지 명확히 정의하지 못하였다. 본 연구는 MBB와 BB를 대상으로 6시그마 프로젝트를 시행하면서 사용하였던 도구의 사용시기와 사용성과를 설문조사하여 제조분야에서 6시그마 추진 단계별로 사용해야 할 도구를 제시하였다.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The printed circuit heat exchanger (PCHE) can include one of many channel types, such as zigzag and wavy channels. Among these channels, the zigzag channel is the most frequently used regarding the conventional-type PCHE due to its high durability and manufacturability; however, the zigzag channel has a high pressure loss due to the flow separation and the reverse flow at the bending point. To improve the performance of the zigzag-type PCHE, a new type of PCHE with inserted straight channels is suggested. A three-dimensional numerical analysis using CFD ANSYS-CFX code is conducted with respect to the thermal-hydraulic performance of a zigzag-type PCHE with inserted straight channels. The effects of the inserted straight channels on the heat transfer and the pressure drop in terms of the mass-flow rate are revealed. The lengths of the inserted straight channels vary between 0.5 and 2mm, and the mass-flow rate is applied from 1.41×10<SUP>−4</SUP> to 2.48×10<SUP>−4</SUP> kg/s. The pressure drops of the 0.5mm and 1mm straight channels are less than that of the zigzag channel, and are similar to that of the wavy channel. In terms of the heat transfer characteristics, the results show that the heat transfer characteristics of the 0.5mm and 1mm straight channels are quite similar to those of the zigzag channel, but are better than those of the wavy channel. In the case of the 1mm straight channel, the value of the volume-goodness factor is improved by about 26–28% compared to that of the original zigzag channel.</P>

Objectives : The purposes of this study are to understand Craniosacral Techniques(CST) from the oriental medical point of view and to apply it clinically. Methods : The similarities of theories and techniques between CST and the oriental medicine were researched. Results : CST is similar to Doin chuna(導引推拿) which is usually used for improving the muscle and joint movement. Conclusions : CST can be applied for not only autism, ADHD, learning disability but also various diseases of the whole body in company with acupuncture, herbal medicines, chuna(推拿), etc.
Effect of Rare Earth Element on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Mg-Sn-Ca Alloys

<P>In the present work, the effect of Nd addition on microstructure change, precipitation behaviours and mechanical properties, of Mg-5Sn-3Ca based alloys were investigated. With increasing of Nd addition, size of the Mg-Sn-Ca ternary phases with fine needle shape (A-type) was decreased and volume fraction of these phase were increased. As Nd was increase from 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0 wt.%, size and volume fraction of Mg2Sn with coarse needle shape phase (B-type) was decreased. However, in 3.0 wt.% Nd containing alloy, size of these Mg2Sn phase was smaller than that of 0.5 and 1.0 wt% Nd addition alloy and volume fraction of these phase was decreased.</P>

<P>The as-cast microstructure of Mg-5Al-3Ca-<I>x</I>Nd alloys consists of equiaxed α-Mg matrix, (Mg, Al)<SUB>2</SUB>Ca eutectic phase and Al-Nd rich intermetallic compounds. With the increase of Nd addition, α-Mg matrix morphology was changed from dendritic to equiaxed grains due to suppression of grain growth by formation of homogeneous intermetallic compounds containing Nd dispersed at grain boundary and α-Mg matrix. And the grain size of as-cast alloys was decreased as addition of Nd was increased. This eutectic phase of the extruded alloys was elongated to extrusion direction and size of this phase was redined comparing to that of as-cast alloys because of severe deformation during hot extrusion. Maximum yield and ultimate tensile strength value of the as-extruded alloys was 322 and 335 MPa at Mg-5Al-3Ca-2Nd alloy, respectively.</P>
