        The present paper is an introduction to the whole project of "The systematic studies on Korean Betulaceae". Three studies under the project were performed this year and presented in this report : a review of taxonomic literatures and the construction of distribution maps by Woo-Tchul Lee, pollen morphology by Sang-Tae Lee and Moo-Yeol Kim, and wood anatomy by Woong-Young Soh and Kwan-Bae Jeon.

      • 水稻品種에 따른 벼멸구 生態型의 攝食行動에 관한 硏究

        水稻品種에 대한 加害能力을 달리하는 벼멸구(Nilaparvata lugens Stal) 生態型에 대한 水稻品種의 幼苗 및 幼齡別 抵抗性反應을 調査하고, 또 벼멸구 生態型들이 우리나라에 얼마나 飛來해 오는지를 調査한바 그 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. 水稻幼苗의 抵抗性反應은 東津벼가 生態形-1,2,3 모두에 感受性이었고, 三剛벼와 密陽 63號는 生態型-2와 3에 各各 感受性이었다. 그러나 伽倻벼는 生態型-1,2,3 모두에 抵抗性이었다. 2. 苗齡에 따른 水稻品種別 甘露排泄量의 差異는 生態型에 따라 苗齡別로 多樣하게 나타났다. 3. filter paper위에 나타난 甘露排泄面績과 排泄된 甘露의 무게와는 서로 相關이 있었다. 즉 東津벼는 生態形-1,2,3에서, 三剛벼는 生態型-2에서, 密陽 63號는 生態型-3에서 甘露排泄面績과 무게가 모두 높게 나타난 反面, 伽倻벼는 生態形-1,2,3 모두 낮아 抵抗性反應을 보였다. 4. 벼멸구 生態型 分布比率은 採集時期 및 地域間에 약간의 差異는 있었으나, 生態形-1,2,3이 各各 57.0%, 25.1%, 18.0%였다. The reaction of the varietal differences in resistance to the brown planthopper(BPH), Nilaparvata lugens Stal, biotypes by using the rice seeding responses, the feeding amount of the three BPH biotypes fed on 30 to 70-day-old rice cultivars with different resistance genes, the distribution ratio of the BPH biotypes migrated from southern Chinese continent into the southern costal regions of Korea were tested. According to the reponses of rice seedling to the three BPH viotypes, Dongjinbyeo(no resistant gene)was shown highly susceptible to their nymphs, Samgangbyeo(Bph-1 gene)was susceptible to the biotype-2, and Milyang 63 was susceptible to the biotype-3, But Gayabyeo(Bph-and bph-2 gene)was hightly resistant to their nymphs, Based on the reaction of the varietal differences in resistance to the BPH biotypes on 30 to 70-day-old by using the honeydew excretion test, the rice cultivars with Bph-1 gene including Samgangby대 were resistant to biotype-1 and 3, but susceptible to biotype-2, and those with bph-2 gene like Milyang 63 were susceptible to biotype-3, but resistant to biotype-1 and 2, But those with Bph-1 and bph-2 gene like Gayabyeo were highly resistant to biotype-1, 2, and 3. The percent biotype distribution of the female BPH colleted in the southern coastal regions of Korea showed that the BPH biotype-1 was predominent accounting for 57.0%, biotype-2 was 25.1%, and biotype-3 was 18.0%

      • 국내 뒤영벌족(Bombini)의 분포

        수입뒤영벌을 대체할 수 있는 값싼 국산뒤영벌을 개발하기 위한 기초자료로서 1995년부터 1997년까지 3월에서 10월까지 중부지방 및 남부지방을 중심으로 뒤영벌의 분포조사 및 밀원식물을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1995년부터 1997년까지 채집한 국내종 뒤영벌의 종수는 9종으로 뒤영벌속 7종; 좀뒤영벌, 호박벌, 삽포로뒤영벌, 우수리뒤영벌, 황토색뒤영벌, 참호박뒤영벌, 참뒤영벌과 떡벌속 2종; 대륙떡벌, 떡벌이었으며 방화가 확인된 밀원은 23종과 42종이었다. 6개의 주요도시에서 뒤영벌 여왕벌의 채집두수는 bombus ardens와 bombus ignitus가 각각 416두(72.9%)와 117두(20.5%) 채집되어 우점종이었으며, 뒤영벌의 채집시기는 각각 3월 20일∼7월 19일과 4월 7∼10.8일까지였다. 여왕벌의 중부 및 남부의 채집시기는 Bombus ardens가 부산과 지리산주변지역 및 수원지방이 3월 20일경, Bombus ignitus 외 5종은 수원 4월 7일경, 소백산·월악산과 인천 영흥도 4월 20일경, 대관령·평창 5월 20일경에 채집되어 지역에 따라 발생시기가 다르나 주로 발생초기에 채집되었다. 계절발생은 뒤영벌이 첫 출현은 진달래개화시기와 일치하며 3월에서 5월까지는 주로 진달래, 산괴불주머니, 철쭉 등을 방화하고, 6월과 7월에는 동자꽃, 비비추, 모감주나무 등 자생화를, 8월과 9월에는 무궁화, 황기, 코스모스 등을 방화하였다. Collection of domestic species of Bombini was made from March to October of 1995 to 1997 on middle and south part of Korea. The results obtained are as follows. Domestic species of Bombini, which are collected from the middle and south part of Korea from March through October of 1995 to 1997, were 9 species: seven Bombus; bombus ardens, bombus ignitus, bombus hypocrita sapporoensis, bombus ussurensis, bombus consobrinus wittenburgi, bombus koreanus, bombus opulentus and two Psithyrus; Psithyrus bonemicus, Psithyrus sylvestris popovi. 416heads(72.9%) of bombus ardens and 117heads(20.5%) of bombus ignitus were collected as the dominant species of Bombini at six major different regions. It was also found that Bombini visited 42 species of 23 Families for foraging. The collection of domestic species of Bombini in 1997 was made earlier than them in 1995 and 1996. Queens of bombus ardens were collected at the beginning stage of emergence; on the 20th of March 1997 in Pusan, Suwon and chiri Mt, queens of bombus ignitus and other species on the 7th of April 1997 in Suwon, on the 20th of April 1997 in Soback·Weolak Mt. and Inchun Younghwung Do and on the 20th of May 1997 in Daekyan Ryung·Pyungchang. The emergence of queens varied with region and species. As a phenology, the first emergence of bumblebees syncronized with the first blooming of Rhododendron mucronulatum. Bumblebees foraged on the Rhododendron mucronulatum. Corydalis speciosa, R. yedoense var. poukhanens in March to May, Lychnis cognata, Hosta longipes, Koelreuteria paniculata in June through July, and Hibiscus syriacus, Astragalus membranaceus, Cosmos bipinnatus in August through september.

      • 팽이 톱밥 人工栽培時 培地微生物相의 經時的인 密度變化

        팽이 재배에 있어 가장 큰 문제 중의 하나는 雜菌에 대한 汚染, 특히 細菌에 의한 피해가 극심하므로 作業段階와 栽培過程 전반에 걸쳐 培地徵生物相의 經時的인 密度變化에 따른 雜菌의 培地內 流入時期를 조사하여 汚染菌의 發生消長을 알아보기 위해 現地農家에서 시험해 본 결과 接種후 培養室에서 菌絲培養을 시작한 5일후부터 細菌이 檢出되기 시작하여 菌긁기전까지 약 25일간 0.5∼3.1×10⁴cfu/g의 密度를 보였으나 經時的인 密度增加는 없었고, 菌絲培養이 끝난 뒤 菌긁기직후부터 細菌의 密度는 118.3×10⁴cfu/g으로 급격히 높아졌으며 子實體生育 기간동안에 시간이 경과함에 따라 密度가 현저하게 증가되는 경향을 나타냈다. 이는 培養室 안으로 흐르는 空氣를 통하여 甁內로 細菌이 流入되고 또한 菌긁기 직후 培地表面에 灌注하는 물과 加濕機에서 噴霧되는 물粒子가 細菌의 密度增加에 절대적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단되므로 이때가 細菌性褐斑病菌에 感染되기 가장 용이한 시기로 생각된다. 眞菌은 菌긁기후 子實體生育 기간동안 1.17∼7.87×10⁴/g의 密度로서 菌絲培養 기간동안의 密度보다 다소 높게 檢出되었으나 대체로 經時的인 密度增加는 보이지 않았으며, 放線菌은 거의 검출되지 않거나 菌絲培養 후 5일째부터 다소 검출되기 시작했으나 밀도가 매우 낮았고 經時的으로도 증가되지 않았다. One of the most serious problem on the Enoki mushroom cultivation is the infection by pathogenicitic microorganisns, especially bacterial diseases causing serious economical losses in the mushroom production. It was carried out to find the tendency of the development of mushroom diseases by temporal changes and variation of the densities of media microflora through the cultivation periods and working stages in a mushroom farm. According to the results, several bacteria were detected from the fifth day after the inoculation and incubation of mycelium in the incubation room, and the density of bacterium was 0.5∼3.1×10⁴cfu/g media for 25 days before the inoculum-removing, although there was no increment of the density. Since the inoculum-removing after the spawn run, the density of bacterium was rapidly increased as 118.3×10⁴cfu/g media, and was significantly increased by time during the growth period of fruitbodies. It was hypothesized that it is the most suitable period for the pathogen infection because the bacterium might be introduced by the air in the incubation-room, and the increment of bacterium density might be affected by moisture supplied through watering or humidifier in the growing room after the inoculum-removing. Fungi were detected as the density as 1.17∼7.87×10⁴/g media and the density was slightly higher than that during the incubation period of hyphae, although there was no significant increment. Generally, the density of Actinomycetes was disregardfully low, or Actinomycetes were hardly ever found, although there was found some 5 days after incubation hyphae in few cases.

      • 표고버섯균사체 생산용 가식성 천연소재 액체배지 개발

        The study was carried out to develop edible natural broth substrate resource with lentinus edodes Mycelium, and to produce effectively. We selected potato, pear, corn, banana and apple with natural broth media, respectively. The results investigated for new resource are as follows. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth ranged from 23~29℃, optimum temperature 26℃. The optimum pH ranged from 5.0~6.0, optimum pH 5.5. The carbon source contents were effective in 5~20% glucose almost identical., The nitrogen source peptone was higher growth in the 0.5~2.0% than 0.1%. For 5 weeks incubation, Natural substrates broth from banana, potato and corn grew better than pear apple, respectively.

      • 2종의 뒤영벌 여왕벌의 실내 정착율 비교

        국내종 뒤영벌족 중 주요 우점종인 호박벌과 좀뒤영벌의 실내정착가능성을 조사하기 위하여 1997년 3월말에서 5월초까지 수원, 지리산과 인천영흥도에서 채집한 두 종의 여왕벌을 상자별로 사육한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 호박벌과 좀뒤영벌 모두 상자의 재질이나 크기에 따른 산란율 및 성충출현율의 차이는 없었으나 호박벌이 좀뒤영별보다 산란율, 첫일벌 출현율, 50두 이상 일벌출현율, 새여왕벌 출현군체수, 여왕벌 수명 및 군체의 크기 등에서 좋은 성적을 보여 실내사육이 가능한 종이며 방화성 곤충으로서도 개발이 가능한 종이다. For survey of colony performance by foundation queens collected, collection of domestic species of Bombini was made from March to May of 1997 on Kyungki Suwon, Kyungnam Chiri-Mt. Area and Inchun Younghwung-Do in Korea. And queens of two Bombus species was reared at the 4 kinds of wooden case. The results obtained are as follows; Both of Bombus ignitus and B. ardeus were not a difference between the rate of egg-laid and of warker emergence according to the quality of material and size of all of ages. Bombus ignitus is better than Bombus ardens according to the rate fo egg-laid, rate of first worker emrgence, ≥50 heads of worker emergence, rate of new queen emergence, longivity of foundation queens, and size of colonies. So B. ignitus is possible to develop indoor rearing and foraging insect.

        치조골 복합골절의 정복고정시 탈구치아의 치근관을 통한 배농술의 효과

        Treatment of compound alveolar bone fracture consists of reduction and fixation with wound closure of soft tissue laceration. For the proper reduction and fixation, interosseous wiring or splinting of the involved teeth are applied during about 4 weeks. But wound infection around the fracture site may be occurred, because of the presence of devitalized tissues(pulp, bone and soft tissue), residual hematoma and anergy effect of trauma stress. The wound infection results in bone resorption, pulp degeneration and necrosis, wound dehiscence and soft tissue necrosis around the fracture site. Therefore, if the infection will be expected, early proper drainage should be established via the fracture site and root canal of the luxated teeth. The authors treated two cases of compound alveolar bone fracture by the rubber drainage in the fracture site and the endodontic drainage by open canal of the luxated teeth, with the usual reduction and fixation by use of arch bar and resin. The prognosis was more favorable without wound infection, bone resorption, teeth mobility and specific root resorption.

        종방향 지관 플레이트 각형강관 T형 접합부의 구조적 거동

        This paper describes the structural behavior of T-joints using square hollow sections with longitudinal branch plate that is used to connect brace and high tension tie bar Principal parameters are the ratio of chord widte to thickness(16.7≤2γ(B/T)≤31.3) and branch plate to chord width(0.20≤β(b1/B)≤0.85) The results from 12 specimens tested in compression indicated that failure mode changed from chord flange failure mode to chord web failure mode at β = 0.75 The dominant failure mode was chord flange failure for β ≤ 0.75 According to variety of longitudinal branch plate length, the capacity of strength was less than increasing branch plate length The strength formulae of CIDECT and other researchers are compared with the test results, and finally design guidelines have been presented based on Bae's strength formula for longitudinal branch plate T-joints

      • 플레이트를 이용한 냉간성형 각형강관 T형 접합부에 관한 실험적 연구

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate experimentally the strength and deformation of T-joints to evaluate the structural behavior of truss connection consisted in square hollow steel section with plate. There are the branch plate type in T-joint shapes. Principal parameters are the ratio of the chord width to thickness(2ν=31.3, 22.2, 16.7) and the ratio of branch plate thickness to chord width(βp=0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.75, 0.85). The most important result obtained from this experiment is as follows; The ultimate strength of T-joints increase proportionally as the 2ν ratio decrease, and the βp ratio increase. The others, experimental results are summarized for ultimate strength to displacement, initial stiffness and failure mode of each T-joints.

        Effects of Moderate Alcohol Intake in the Bladder of the Otsuka Long Evans Tokushima Fatty Diabetic Rats

        <P>Diabetes is related with a number of cystopathic complications. However, there have been no studies about the influence of alcohol consumption in the bladder of type 2 diabetes. Thus, we investigated the effect of moderate alcohol intake in the bladder of the Otsuka Long Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) diabetic rat. The non-diabetic Long-Evans Tokushima Otsuka (LETO, n=14) and the OLETF control group (n=14) were fed an isocaloric diet; the LETO (n=14) and the OLETF ethanol group (n=14) were fed 36% ethanol 7 g/kg/day. After ten weeks, muscarinic receptors, RhoGEFs, myogenic change, and the level of oxidative stress were evaluated. Moderate alcohol intake significantly decreased excessive muscarinic receptor and Rho kinase expressions in the OLETF rats compared with the LETO rats. In addition, iNOS and collagen expression were not changed in the OLETF rats in spite of alcohol consumption. Superoxide dismutase levels, which is involved in antioxidant defense, in the LETO rats were significantly decreased after alcohol consumption, however those in the OLETF rats were similar. Moderate alcohol consumption reduces the oxidative stress, and may prevent molecular and pathologic changes of the bladder of rats with type 2 diabetes.</P>
