한국 국립공원 산림생태계의 수목 탄소저장량 평가

The purpose of this study is to quantitatively evaluate the amount of carbon storage for trees in forest ecosystem to support the foundation for carbon neutrality implementation in Korea National Park. It targeted 22 national parks designated and managed as national parks in Korea, and conducted research on forest trees in the terrestrial ecosystem among various natural and ecological carbon sink. The survey and analysis method followed the IPCC guidelines and the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory in Korea. The amount of tree carbon storage in the forest ecosystem of Korea National Park was confirmed to be about 218,505 thousand CO₂-ton and the amount of carbon storage per unit area was 570.8 CO₂-ton per hectare. Compared to 299.7 CO₂-ton per hectare, the average carbon storage per unit area of the entire Korean forest, it was found that about twice as much carbon was stored when assuming the same area. In other words, it means that the tree carbon storage function of the national park is about twice as high as that of the average tree carbon storage function of entire Korean forest. It has great implications in Korea National Park not only provides biodiversity promotion and exploration services as a national protected area, but also performs excellent functions as a carbon sink.

당뇨병성 다발성 신경병증에 대한 Thioctic acid의 유효성 및 안정성에 관한 연구

연구배경: 당뇨병성 신경병증은 당뇨병 환자에서 흔히 나타나는 합병증으로서 임상 증상은 가볍거나 없을 수도 있지만 많은 경우에 통증, 작열감, 이감각증이나 무감각증 등의 증상을 동반하지만, 이에 대한 명확한 기전이나 뚜렷한 치료방법이 없었다. 최근에 신경세포내 산화성 스트레스의 증가로 신경세포의 손상이 발생된다는 기전이 주목을 받으면서, 당뇨병성 신경병증 환자에게 항산화제인 thiotic acid를 사용하여 좋은 효과를 관찰한 논문들이 발표되었다. 이에 저자들은 한국의 당뇨병성 다발성 신경병증 환자에서 thiotic acid를 경구 투여 후에 신경병증에 의한 효과 및 안정성을 평가하였다. 방법: 모든 대상 환자에게 Thioctic acid 600㎎ 을 1일 1회 아침 식전 30분에 8주간 투여하여 당뇨병성 다발성 신경병증에 대한 TSS의 개선여부에 대한 임상적 유효성 및 이상반응, 내약성, 실험실적 지표의 변화를 통한 안정성을 관찰하였다. 결과: 치료시작 전에 관찰한 환자가 호소하는 증상은 통증이 가장 많았으며 무감각, 작열감, 이상감각 순의 빈도를 보였다. 통증, 작열감, 이감각증, 무감각증의 평균 TSS는 1차 방문시 5.8± 1.8, 2차방문시는 4.4±1.7, 3차 방문시는 3.1±1.1로 사용기판에 따라 통계학적으로 유의한 증상의 호전이 있었다. 또한 TSS의 개선 뿐만 아니라 통증, 작열감, 이감각증 및 무감각증 각각의 증상도 치료전과 치료 4주 후 및 치료 8주 후를 비교했을 때 통계학적으로 유의한 증상의 호전이 있었다. TSS가 1차 방문 시와 비교했을 때 3차 방문시에 30% 이상 개선되었을 때(1차 방문시에 TSS 4인 환자는 2점 이상 개선되었을때) 임상적으로 의미가 있는 반응으로 간주하고 계산한 반응률은 71.3%였다. 결론: 당뇨병성 다발성 신경병중 환자에 대해 항 산화제인 thioctic acid 600㎎ 경구 투여요법은 당뇨병성 신경병증의 증상완화에 유용하며, 안전한 것으로 사료된다. Background: The study was peformed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral treatment with the antioxidant α-lipoic acid (Thioctcid??) in diabetic patients with peripheral polyneuropathy. Methods: Thioctacid?? 600㎎ was orally administered once a day for 8 weeks in 61 diabetic patients with peripheral polyneuropathy. Neuropathic symptom(pain, burning, paresthesia, and numbness) were scored before, and of 4 and 8 weeks after treatment. In addition, neuropathy by the physician and patients at the end of treatment. The primary endpoint was the response role after 8 weeks treatment, defined as an improvement in the total symptom score of at least more than 30%. Results: Efficacy was evaluated among forty-four patients who had completely the study according to the protocol and safety was evaluated among all of 61 patients who had taken the study medication. The response rate after 8 weeks was 77.3%. The total symptom score was significantly decreased of 4-week, and further decreased of 8-week. All the individual scores for neuropathic symptom were also significantly reduced of 4-week and further decreased at 8-week. Conclusion: These finding indicate that oral treatment with thioctacid?? at a dose of 600㎎/day for 8 weeks will improve peripheral polyneuropathy in diabetic patients, without causing any serious adverse events.

This study suggests the new ultraprecision finishing techniques for micro die and mold parts using magnetic field-assisted polishing. Conventional magnetic abrasives have several disadvantages, which are missing of abrasive particle and inequal mixture between magnetic particle and abrasive particle. Therefore, bonded magnetic abrasive particles are fabricated by several method. For example, plasma melting and direct bonding. Carbonyl iron powder is used as magnetic particle where silicon carbide and alumina are abrasive particles. Developed magnetic abrasives are analyzed using SEM. Feasibility of magnetic abrasive and polishing performance of this magnetic abrasive particles also have been investigated. After polishing surface roughness of workpiece is reduced from 85.4 nm Ra to 9 nm Ra.

JPEG 압축 이미지를 이용한 수치사진측량의 정확도

The aim of our research is to find out how digital photogrammetry responds to image compression. Specially, we wish to know if using JPEG image compression leads to loss of accuracy in DTM derived by digital methods. We first review JPEG compression, and since we use the PCI OrthoEngine Airphoto Edition v6.3 digital phtogrammetry software, we briefly review it's principle of principle of operation. We use knowledge of the effect of JPEG compression on the geometric accuracy of images to predict the influence of compression on DTM accuracy. We then compare this to estimates derived from actual measurements. We find that the actual effect om DTM accuracy is greater than predicted, and consistent with geometric error due to compression in the region of 0.33 pixel.

지상측량과 GPS 관측값을 이용한 결합 망 조정에 관한 연구

Monitoring networks for tectonic studies and for large scale structures often require the combination of terrestrial and GPS observations. The advantage of GPS is its high precision and almost universal applicability, e.g. the connection of stations within the deformation zone to remote, geologically stable areas. The terrestrial techniques are well established and sometimes more precise, and allow to include stations with restricted GPS visibility, i.e. stations at the wall of a dam or in a narrow valley which cannot be determined by GPS. Till now normally the terrestrial and GPS observations are treated separately, a combination is done on the base of adjusted coordinates with or without covariance information. In this paper, for a rigorous combined adjustment of terrestrial and GPS observations the datumfree-concept is proposed. This concept is exact from the mathematical model of adjustment, adequate from the physical model of the observations and extremly flexible from the computational view point.

한라산지역 용천수의 고도별 수질특성

This study purposes to elucidate the characteristics of altitudinal water quality variation and the evolutional processes of the spring water have been studied with the samples from 9 selected springs surrounding the Halla mountain region. Results of hydrogeochemical analyses in the 9 spring water show that Gwaneumsa is pollued with high hydrogen concentration. The spring waters from Yungsil, Namguksunwon, Sungpanark, Oremok and Gwaneumsa which springs situated lower than 1000m in altitude are highly concentrated of the chloride, sulphate, nitrate nitrogen and sodium, indicating that they are polluted by the pollution sources of the surrounding ground. The concentration of bicarbonate, sulphate and hydrogen increase when the precipitaion increases and the concentration of nitrate nitrogen, chloride and calcium decrease when the precipitation increase. The magnesium, sodium and electrical conductivity are nearly independent of the precipitation. Quality characteristics of spring water through piper's trilinear diagram except the Baegrogdam and Wiseorm spring water, the Halla mountain region consists of groups of sodium or potassium type and bicarbonate type.

Varicella-zoster virus usually affects children with benign course. But varicella pneumonia is one of the most serious complications of varicella infection in adults, with a reported incidence in healthy adults that is 25-fold greater than in children. Herein, we described a case of acute respiratory distress syndrome due to varicella pneumonia in a 48 year old healthy male patient. The patient was successfully treated with systemic acyclovir and corticosteroid for 14 days.

GPS/GLONASS 결합에 의한 차량의 이동궤적의 정확도 분석

Satellite visibility, accuracy, and availability were increased by the combined GPS/GLONASS. But, there are some problems such as differences in the time frame, differences in the coordinate datum, and the problem of solving carrier phase ambiguities in the combined carrier frequency solutions due to different GLONASS frequency. Therefore, the author will access the accuracy analysis of positioning using the combined PGS/GLONASS, and intend to study the characteristics of the combined GPS/GLONASS with considered the rate of data acquisition according to satellite visibility, elevation mask angle and kinematic relative position at the combined GPS/GLONASS.
