The purpose of this study was to examine how the program of basic movement can influence and change the capability of perceptive movement among the children with autism. Four subjects (age3-5) participated in the specially designed program, three times a week for four weeks. For the purpose of this study, Oseretsky's Motor Development Test and PMDT(perception-Movement development Diagnosis Test) were used. The results were as follows; First, the upper limb performance of the children with autism showed significant changes by the movement education program. Second, along with the development of upper limb performance, the motor development index of the children with autism showed significant changes. Third, the Oseretsky spectrum of movement, of the children with autism responded to the order of mono-movement capability, hand-movement and co-operative movement. Fourth, the movement education program was more effective for the children with autism than for the retarded children in view of motor development capability. Fifth, the movement education program was more effective for the child with autism of multi-movement characteristics.

N/A Background/Aitns: It has been reported frequently that clinical features of gallstone diseases in Koreans were different from those of Occidentals. These differences were thought to be due to inherent racial difference and acquired living habits. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the pattern of gallstone disease changes or not in Korea. Methods: We analyzed 5,488 cases of gallstone diseases which were reported in Korea frorn 1966 to 1994. We divided the period into 6 groups: the first period was 1,000 cases reported from 1966 to 1970, the second was 331 cases from 1971 to 1975, the third was 1,000 cases from 1976 to 1980, the fourth was 1,957 cases from 1981 to 1985, the fifth was 1,000 cases from 1986 to 1990, and the sixth was 200 cases from 1991 to 1993. Results: The age group of highest incidence was the fifth and sixth decade. The incidence below the third decade showed a decreasing tendency. In contrast, the incidence above sixth decade showed an increasing tendency. The male to female ratio was 1:1.25 to 1:1.71 and had no periological change. The duration of illness of highest frequency was below 6 months. In the case of duration above 5 years these was a decreasing tendency. The major complaints of biliary stone were right upper quadrant pain and tenderness. Nausea, vomiting, jaundice, and radiating pain showed a decreasing tendency. The major laboratory findings were leukocytosis, elevated SGOT and SGPT, elevated alkaline phosphatase, hyperbilirubinemia and hypoalbuminemia. Of these, only hypoalbuminernia had a decreasing tendency. By the second period, the main diagnostic procedures were oral cholecystogram and intravenous cholecysto- graphy. From the fourth period, ultrasonography, ERCP, CT and PTC were been used comrnonly. For the location of gallstone, the gallbladder stone revealed the only increasing tendency, the common bile duct stone had a decreasing tendency, and the intrahepatic duct stone had no periological change. From 1980, the cholesterol stone became the main composition of gallstones. But, there was no periological change between early and late 1980s. Positive bacterial culture rate was 57.0% and the most common microorganism was E. coli. Klebsiella and Enterobacter. Pseudomonas showed an increasing tendency. Of the diseases associated with gallstone, only diabetes had an increasing tendency. The frequency of residual stone had an increasing tendency. Conclusions: The age of peak incidence of gallstone diseases was the fifth and sixth decades and there was a little predominance in females. From 1980, the cholesterol stone becarne the main composition of gallstones. For the location of gallstone, the gallbladder stone showed an increasing tendency and the common bile duct stone revealed a decreasing tendency. These suggested clinical features of gallstone diseases in Koreans are somewhat similar to those of Occidentals. (Korean J Gastroenterol 1997;29:352 - 361)

임상이 서로 다른 임분에서 딱정벌레군집 구조를 해석하였다 딱정벌레과의 전체 종수 및 개체수는 소나무림에서 10속 23종 1,162개체, 잣나무림에서 11속 23종 418개체, 일본잎갈나무림에서 11속 25종 782개체, 참나무림에서 12속 25종 1,383개체 이었다. 소나무림에서 우점종들은 Synuchus cycloderus(19.8%), Synuchus nitidus(16.6%), Pterostichus pertirax(16.2%), 잣나무림 Pterostichus sp.1(27.9%), Synuchus nitidus (24.4%), Synuchus cycloderus(10.2%), 일본 잎갈나무림 Synuchus sp.1(40.0%), Synuchus nitidus (9.3%), Pterostichus sp.1 (7.4%), 참나무림 Pterostichus sp.2(17.4%), Synuchus cycloderus (14.4%d), Pterostichus pertirax(14.1%) 이었다. Shannon지수(H') 및 균등도지수(J')는 소나무림 2.11, 0.64 잣나무림 2.25, 0.72, 일본잎갈나무림 2.23, 0.69, 참나무림 2.32, 0.72로 조사되었으며, 유사도지수는 잣나무와 참나무림에서 0.66 으로 낮았으며, 소나무림과 일본잎갈나무림에서 0.83으로 가장 높았다. This study deals with the structure of Carabid beetle community surveyed in different stands. Species richness and abundance of Carabid beetles were 1,162 individuals, 23 species, 10 genera in the Pinus densiflora stand, 418 individuals, 23 species, 11 genera in the Pinus koraiensis stand, 782 individuals, 25 species, 11 genera in the Larix leptolepis stand, 1,383 individuals 25 species, 12 genera in the Quercus variabilis stand. Dominant species were Synuchus cycloderus(19.8%), Synuchus nitidus(16.6%), Pterostichus pertirax(16.2%), in the Pinus densiflora stand, Pterostichus sp.1(27.9%), Synuchus nitidus (24.4%), Synuchus cycloderus(10.2%), in the Pinus koraiensis stand. Shannon species diversity index(H') in the Pinus densiflora, Pinus Koraiensis, Larix leptolepis and Quercus variabilis stand were 2.11, 2.25, 2.23 and 2.32 respectively and Evenness index(J') were 0.64, 0.72, 0.69 and 0.72, respectively Community similarity index showed the lowest value (0.66) between Quercus variabilis stand and Pinus koraiensis stand and the highest value (0.83) between Pinus densiflora stand and Larix leptolepis stand. Fiber reinforced composite materials have been used in wide application field ; air and marine craft fabrication, sports googs, and the other industral structures and instruments, because of their excellent mechanical strength with their light weight. The carbon fiber-epoxy composites have been used very widly with their high modulus and their relatively low price of fabrication. Epoxy resin is one of thermosetting plastics, so, the various processes of curing sharply affect the mechanical properties of the result composite materials. In this report, the samples manufactured with various curing processes are analyzed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Thermogravimetric Analysis, Izod Impact Strength Test and so on. In the process of curing, because the viscosity of the system is very sharply rise up on the progress of curing, it must not attain completely cured state. In this study, the two step curing process is detected more effective ; first step curing executed at relative low temperature and second step of post-curing at high temperature.

Alginate lyase from Chlorostma xanthostigma was stabilized in vitro by optimizing buffer ingradients. The extraction buffer consists of 25mM acetate, pH 5.5, 20mM MgCl₂, 100mM NaCl and 3mM PMSF. The alginate lyase extracted with this buffer gave a decay rate of less then 1% per hr at 30℃ for at least 6h. In vitro instability of alginate lyase may be due to proteolytic degradation.

This study investigated the permanent deformation of dental rubber impression materials in order to evaluate their degree of recovery from displacement during removal through undercut area. We also investigated the stain in compression in order to evaluate the materials' flexibility during removal from the month, or during removal of the cast from the impression. Additional silicone, polyether, and polysulfied rubber impression materials were tested for their properties of permanent deformation and strain in compression according to the testing methods of the ADA specificaltion no. 19. 1.The permanent deformation values were as follows: polysulfide (2.25%), polyether (2.14%), and additional silicone (0.28∼1.21%, 2.38% for Perfect F). Examix, Express and Provil, which are additional silicone rubbers, showed lower permanent deformation values of 0.29%, 0.28% and 0.34%, respectively. Perfect F, although it is an additional silicone rubber, showed the highest permanent deformation value (2.38%) within the tested materials. 2.The strain in compression values were as follows: polysulfide (10.63%), additional silicone (2.88∼10.09%), and polyether (2.38%). The additional silicone rubber samples showed various values. Contrary to our expectations, it is also notable that Vinylate, which is used when taking an one-step impression, had higher stain in compression value (10.09%) than the light body impression materials even though it is classified as a heavy body material. Express (a.s.) had a low strain in compression (2.88%) which is similar to that (2.83%) of Impregum F (p.e.). In light body rubber materials, Permlastic had the highest value (p.s. 10.63%), followed by Perfect F (a.s. 7.38%), Correct VPS (a.s. 7.13%), Examix (a.s. 6.04%), Provil (a.s. 3.82%) and Express (a.s. 2.88%). Although the tested materials showed various values, all of them satisfied the requirements of A.D.A. Specification No. 19, which require that permanent deformation be less than 2.5%, and strain in compression be between 2∼20%.

본 연구는 고주파 가열에 의한 산벚나무, 소태나무, 서어나무, 굴참나무, 박달나무, 고로쇠나무, 피나무, 소나무, 리기다 소나무, 참오동나무의 휨가공성을 평가해 보기 위하여 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 휨가공을 위한 곡율반경은 휨틀의 곡율반경에 의해 4 ㎝, 6 ㎝, 10 ㎝으로 구분하고, 대철의 두께는 0.6 ㎜과 0.8 ㎜로 구분하였다. 본 연구결과, 소태나무, 서어나무, 박달나무 고로쇠나무는 모든 곡율반경에서 100% 성공율을 나타내었다. 산벚나무와 굴참나무의 경우 58%와 83%의 성공율을 각각 나타내었다. 피나무와 오동나무의 경우 총 29%와 8%로 매우 불량하게 나타났고, 곡율반경 4 ㎝에서는 모두 실패로 나타났다. 침엽수재인 소나무와 리기다 소나무는 각각 44%와 56%의 성공율을 나타내었다. 대철의 두께는 휨가공성의 쉽고 어려움보다는, 건조시 건조속도에 더 많은 영항을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 건조과정에서 대철두께가 얇을수록 휨가공부재의 건조 속도가 빠른 경향을 나타내었다. This study was carried out to evaluate bending property on principal domestic species such as sargent cherry(Prunus sargentii), bitter wood(Picrasma quassioides), horn beam(Carpinus laxflora), cork oak(Quercus variabilis), birch(Betula schmidtii), painted maple(Acer mono), basswood(Tilia amurensis), red pine(Pinus densiflora), pitch pine(Pinus rigida), royal pawtonia(Paulownia tomentosa) by microwave heating. In this study, radius of curvature(ROC) for bending process was classified by radius of curvature(ROC) of bending plate such as 4 ㎝, 6 ㎝, and 10 ㎝, and thickness of metal-strap(TMS) was 0.6 ㎜ and 0.8 ㎜. Bending process was successfully operated for 100 percent in bitter wood, horn beam, birch and painted maple. On the other hand, there was a success rate of 58 percent in sargent cherry and 83 percent in cork oak and 29 percent in hasswood and 8 percent in royal pawlonia which is the worst bending property. All specimens of basswood and royal pawlonia were broken at 4 ㎝ of ROC. Success rate of bending property was shown 44 percent in red pine and 56 percent in pitch pine. TMS has an effect on only drying speed in drying process than difficulty and facility of bending property. It was considered that the thinner TMS in drying process is the faster in drying speed of bent wood.

Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry for quantitative evaluation of a impact defect inside of composite material plate are described. The impact on composite material makes inside delamination which is difficult to detect visual inspection and ultrasonic testing due to non-homeogenous structure. This paper proposes the quantitative evaluation technique of defects under real impact. Artificial defects are designed inside of composite plate for development of inspection technique and real defects under impact are inspected and compared with results of visual inspection.

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of participation in dance sport programs on development of social-emotional behaviors of deaf students. The subjects were 20 deaf students of middle and high school for special education, and the subjects were randomly devided into participant group(n=10) and non-participants group(n=10). Meadow/Kendall social-emotional asessment inventory for the deaf students(1980) by Kim(1990) were administered by specialized teachers of the students. The statistical procedures used to analysed the hypotheses were ANCOVAs. The major findings of this study were that deaf students who regularly participated in dance sport activities had significantly higher level of the development of social adaptation, self-consciousness, and emotional adaptation rather than non-participants. It could be concluded in this study that sport activities had significant effects on the development of social-emotional behaviors of deaf students.
