        Water activity of sausage added Umbelliferaeceae wild plants powder was decreased as storage time was prolonged and all samples were lower than those of the control. During the storage period, pH values of all samples were decreased. Cooking loss and storage loss was decreased as storage time was prolonged and showed differential from added sample. L, a, b values had a tendency to decrease, during the storage period. As the percentage of the wild plants powder in sausage, L, a values were decreased and b value was increased. Total plate counts of bacteria were increased as storage time was prolonged and wild plants powder added sausages were lower than control. Coriander 3.0% added sausage was the lowest total plate counts of bacteria, 1.3×10^6 at four week' storage. As the percentage of wild plants powder in sausage was increased, total plate counts of bacteria decreased. Springiness, cohesiveness, chewiness, gumminess and hardness value of all sample were increased or decreased as storage time was longer. But they did not showed greatest various with storage time as well as additives. The sensory score of wild plants powder 0.5% added sausage were the highest, but wild plants powder 3.0% added sausage were the lowest. All the sensory score of coriander added sausage were high. The sensory score of all sample were decreased as storage time was prolonged. In wild plants powder 3.0% added sausage, the relationship between color, flavor, chewiness, wetness, taste and overall of sensory evaluation and all item of the textural characteristic showed high correlation score. When storaging sausage for two weeks, the correlation of relationship between hardness of sensory evaluation and chewiness of textural characteristic was high.

      • 강남구 의료시설 입지에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 강남구의 의료시설의 분포를 살펴보고, 형평성과 효율성을 고려하여 적지를 선정하고 그것을 현재 입지한 의료시설과 비교하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 의료시설에 대해 입자-배분(Location-allocation)모델을 사용하여 입지분석을 하였다. 그 결과로 첫째, 수요자의 입장을 고려하여 총이동거리를 최소화하는 것을 목적으로 한 P-median 모델과 Minimize total powered distance모델에 의해 선정된 적지는 강남구의 전 지역에 고르게 분산되어 있다. 둘째, 공급자의 입장을 고려하여 수요자를 최대로 커버할 수 있는 적지로 선정한 Attendance maximizing 모델에 의해 선정된 적지는 강남구중 소득수준이 높은 역삼동과 논현동 일대에 집중하며, 실례로 이 지역에 분포한 병원의 수도 많다. 셋째, 수요자의 입장을 고려한 Maximal covering 모델이 선정한 적지는 일부지역에서는 모델이 선정한 적지에 실제 병원이 입지하지 않고 있어서 응급의료서비스를 적절히 제공하고 있지 못하다고 보인다. 이처럼 입자-배분 모델이 선정한 적지와 실제 병원의 입지는 어느 정도 유사점을 보이고 있으나, 향후 신규의료시설입지 시 위의 모델이 선정한 적지를 고려하는 것이 좋을 것이다. This study attempt to find optimal location of medical facilities using location-allocation model. For finding the optimal location, population, the amount of property tax per person, road, landuse were considered. The results are summarized as follows; First, the optimal location which is proposed by minimizing total distance model (P-median, Minimize total powered distance model) are distributed regularly in Kangnam-gu. Second, the optimal location proposed by attendance maximizing model are centered in high property tax area (like Yeoksam-dong, Nonhyun-dong). And there are many facilities in such area so the actual location satisfy efficiency. Third, the optimal location proposed by maximal covering location model is distributed regularly. But the medical facilities are aggregated in some area so some area is disadvantage in emergency services. In conclusion , the real location is similar to the ideal location proposed by location-allocation model, generally. But in some area no medical facilities are found, so if we consider location-allocation model for moving or establishing medical facilities.

      • 18–30세 사이에 발생하는 뇌경색의 특징, 다기관 레지스트리 연구

        Objectives: Although there have been several reports that described characteristics for young age stroke, information regarding very young age (18–30 years old) has been limited. We aimed to analyze demographic factors, stroke subtype, and 3-month outcome in acute ischemic stroke patient who have relatively very young age in multicenter stroke registry. Methods: We evaluated all 122 (7.1%) consecutive acute ischemic stroke (within 7 days after symptom onset) patients aged 18 to 30 from 17,144 patients who registered in multicenter prospective stroke registry, 1997 to 2012. Etiology was classified by Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment criteria. Stroke severity was defined as National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and stroke outcome was defined by modified Rankin scale (mRS) at 3 months after index stroke. Results: The mean age of all included patients was 25.1±3.7 years and 76 patients (62.2%) were male. The median NIHSS at admission was 4. Considering stroke subtype, 37 patients (30.3%) had stroke of other determined etiology (SOD), 37 (30.3%) had undetermined negative evaluation (UN) and 31 (25.4%) had cardioembolism (CE) were frequently noted. After adjusting age, sex and variables which had P<0.1 in univariable analysis (NIHSS and stroke subtype), CE stroke subtype (odds ratio, 4.68; 95% confidence interval, 1.42–15.48; P=0.011) were significantly associated with poor functional outcome (mRS≥3). Conclusion: In very young age ischemic stroke patients, SOD and UN stroke subtype were most common and CE stroke subtype was independently associated with poor discharge outcome.

      • 단체행위모형에 관한 고찰

        We have developed a formal model of collective action which brings together features associated in particular with the work of Elster, Schelling and Akerlof. We would argue that the model is capable of application to a wide range of empirical contexts involving issues of collective action where the free-rider problem renders conventional economic analysis inadequate. The approach offers insights into the historical development of such groups as trade unions and could be empirically tested against such processes. As Hardin(1982) has shown the results obtained here can carry over from the issue of collective action to that of the multi-person prisoner's dilemma. A number of aspects of the model deserve further development. Here we indicate two such aspects. First, we have treated the ε^1 distribution as determined exogenously. Alternatively, we could follow Jones(1984) and make our ε^1 parameter endogenous within the model. One way of doint this would be to make ε^1 itself dependent upon the individual's decision with respect to membership of collective action. Or we could think of the individual as influenced by a vector of social norms with his/her attitude to each affected throughεi by his/her behavior with respect to the others. Second, we have abstracted from the economic structure or game in which the collective action is, or is not, taking place. Clearly, a complete model needs to specify the interactions between the economic parameters and social custom inuluences on collective action. We have tried this elsewhere for the issue of trade union membership and wage determination(see Naylor(1989)) but do not pursue this here as any particularisation is likely to be context-specific.

      • 철근콘크리트 기둥의 좌굴파괴에 의한 철근비 및 큰크리트 압축강도의 실험적 연구

        This study investigates the effect of compressive strength and longitudinal steel ratio of concrete on the behavior of reinforced concrete columns and conducts the experiment of the behavior of reinforced concrete columns with normal and high strength by giving a slenderness ratio(λ=50) the columns with square section (100×100 mm) to analyze the relations to bending moment, bending displacement and ultimate strength and by having the variables of concrete compression strength (180kgf/㎠, 819kgf/㎠) and longitudinal steel ratio (0.5%, 1%, 4%, 5.7%, 10.3%). As a result, the strain of compressed steel shows considerably increased trend more than tensile steel strain and on the form of fracture in the case of low strength, as the longitudinal steel ratio is increased more, the number of crack in considerably increased and on the form of fracture in the case of high strength, there in little crack in early loading, but when it reaches the ultimate loading, it causes instantaneous breaking. Especially, when column of 0.5% and 1% of longitudinal steel ratio reaches its ultimate loading, it is broken with the phenomena that the both sides of central part are divided, and the cases of 5.7% and 10.3% of longitudinal steel ratio, the ultimate loading value is not greatly increased.

      • Inhibition of Osteoclast Differentiation by Gold Nanoparticles Functionalized with Cyclodextrin Curcumin Complexes

        <P>Gold nanoparticles (GNPs) have been previously reported to inhibit osteoclast (OC) formation. However, previous research only confirmed the osteoclastogenesis inhibitory effect under <I>in vitro</I> conditions. The aim of this study was to develop a therapeutic agent for osteoporosis based on the utilization of GNPs and confirm their effect both <I>in vitro</I> and <I>in vivo</I>. We prepared β-cyclodextrin (CD) conjugated GNPs (CGNPs), which can form inclusion complexes with curcumin (CUR–CGNPs), and used these to investigate their inhibitory effects on receptor activator of nuclear factor-κb ligand (RANKL)-induced osteoclastogenesis in bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMMs). The CUR–CGNPs significantly inhibited the formation of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP)-positive multinuclear cells in BMMs without inducing cytotoxicity. The mRNA expressions of genetic markers of OC differentiation including c-Fos, nuclear factor of activated T cells 1 (NFATc1), TRAP, and osteoclast associated receptor (OSCAR) were significantly decreased in the presence of CUR–CGNPs. In addition, the CUR–CGNPs inhibited OC differentiation of BMMs through suppression of the RANKL-induced signaling pathway. Additionally, CUR–CGNPs caused a decrease in RANKL-induced actin ring formation, which is an essential morphological characteristic of OC formation allowing them to carry out bone resorption activity. Furthermore, the <I>in vivo</I> results of an ovariectomy (OVX)-induced osteoporosis model showed that CUR–CGNPs significantly improved bone density and prevented bone loss.         Lutein is one of potential antioxidant carotenoids with beneficial effect on health, In this study, we used tidal pool microalgae Halochlorococcum porphyrae to extract and isolate lutein in a simple step. The purity was >90% and the yield was 61.8㎍/g. Therefore, this study reports that H. porphyrae possesses a carotenoid pigment, lutein.

        Antioxidant Activities of Chlorophyta and Phaeophyta from Jeju Island

        Antioxidative activities of Chlorophyta and Phaeophyta in Jeju Island were measured by superoxide anion ($O_2^{{\cdot}-}$), hydroxyl radical ($HO^{\cdot}$), hydrogen peroxide ($H_2O_2$) and DPPH free radical scavenging assays. Methanolic and aqueous extracts of the seaweeds were prepared at both temperatures, higher (70$^{\circ}C$) and room temperature (20$^{\circ}C$), and screened for the construction of an extract bank from seaweeds in Jeju Island. A variety of extracts showed positive effect against reactive oxygen species (ROS). Especially, Sargassum thunbergii methanolic extract at 70$^{\circ}C$ (70ME, 97.41%), S. fulvellum methanolic extract at 20$^{\circ}C$ (20ME, 84.66%), Codium fragile aqueous extract at 70$^{\circ}C$ (70AE, 96.61%) and S. thunbergii 20ME (97.44%) exhibited the highest scavenging activities against $O_2^{{\cdot}-}$, $HO^{\cdot}$, $H_2O_2$ and DPPH free radicals, respectively. Total phenolic contents also examined but did not show a positive correlation with ROS scavenging abilities (except for a few extracts). These results indicate that further investigation is needed to identify and purify the responsible antioxidative components.
